OH, IT TOOK HER LONG ENOUGH. "LEWIS CORNELIUS VAN DER HORST is the leader of the orphanage I help since I was 14. He'll be a Knight of the future management of the Marquise in the future, and he's an innate talent. And, he's also… kind of my boyfriend."

Future management? Is planning on blessing us all by killing her family before the Devil takes her away? I heard she helped orphans on the outskirts of the village since she was child, but I never thought their leader would be charming enough to steal her heart. It's a pity that they won't have enough time. "He must be amazing to be able to get your appraises and your heart, my Lady!"

"Oh, he is. You will meet him in the future, though I don't think I'll be alive anymore when that happens. But, can I ask you something, Mrs. Classy? A last wish."

Why not? "Anything you want, my Lady."

"Can you help Lewis in the future? I assure you he'll become a crucial asset to the Marquise army, and will be a good ally to have. He possess telekinesis and his magic is surprisingly strong. His body is also build strong, and he'll grow to be even stronger. I won't be here anymore to help him deal with any problems that may rise, so, I would like to count with your protection. He's a trustworthy and kind-hearted person. Loyal. If you help him, hell help you back with whatever you need."

Telekinesis? That's a blessing from above. "Of course, my Lady. If you trust that he'll have a bright future, I trust you. I'll invest in his future and I'll help him in out if he needs something."

"Thank you, Mrs. Classy. It means a lot. This mansion is the best home I could think for him and all the kids in the orphanage. It'll give them a better opportunity to have a good life. I'm really thankful that you sold it to me!"

As I thought, it's for the orphans. They are probably the ones who will miss her the most, since she's the only one who helped them that much. "I'm the one who is thankful, my Lady. I put the mansion on sale a month ago, and you contacted me directly. It means that we were competent enough to catch your attention." Clarita took the wide keychain with all the keys of the mansion, all tagged, and a small keychain separated. "Here, my Lady. This is the keychain with all the keys for most of the mansion."

"And the small one?"

"This other one is for the suite master. Its keys are for the master bedroom itself, for the secret door behind the fruits' painting on the right wall of the room that takes to the magically locked vault, the master studies, the library of the master bedroom, the master bathroom, the master suite's balcony, the master office, the master's suite private armory, and the master closet." She took one more key, a golden one, and handed it to her as well. "Now, this one is for the underground garage with all of the 25 carriages that I usually keep in each of my properties."

With the amount of money she has, she could definitely buy a noble title. Easy. And I know the Royal bank sells them for a certain price. She has land enough to have some power. "Thank you, Mrs. Classy. It's really good to make business with you. There's no better business woman in this Marquis, or in the Kingdom, that do better than you. I'm sure of it!"

Clarita Classy blushed, "Your words are too kind, my Lady." I can see that her similarities with her mother, go beyond her physical appearance. "If you excuse me," the old woman got up, "I'll be going now, because our family dinner will begin at 7 pm, and my family will be waiting for me. Enjoy your property, my Lady. I hope your time will be good used," she smiled at Donna. "And do not fear the Devil, for he is not evil as people think. He's a protector. Do not judge Winona, your mother, she probably had great reasons to do what she did. She always had a dream of being a mother, so, I know she must have loved you with all her heart before she died."

With that, Mrs. Clarita Classy left, leaving Donna with a dumbfounded look on her face. What the fuck did she meant by that? Is she also one of those Devil believers? Donna questioned in her mind, still too stunned to make a sound.

It took her some time to get her shit together and go up the six floors until the master bedroom that was soon going to be Lewis' where she straight went to the vault. Her daggers were the key, so when she put of one the blades on the designed hole, it clicked and a wide door opened. When she was inside, she could almost taste the magic on it.

Donna took twelve magical bags from her many pockets and began to pour all the gold she kept hidden for years, many of it that was first kept by her mom, on the vault. When she was done, there was piles and piles of gold everywhere, and she also spotted the copy of the documents there. As she left the vault, she jumped on Lewis bed with her belly down just so her fragrance would be absorbed by the mattress, and after a bit she headed to the master library connected to his chambers.

There, she put all the books from her personal shelves, all of them with her notes, plus her block of notes and her quills over the desk on the library. As she finished there, only with her daggers, the documents of ownership of the mansion, the book to give to Lewis, the keys, and the money to pay Karl for the sweets of the orphans for the last time, and some more in case she felt like buying something else. Then, Donna covered herself with the oversized hoodie again, headed out of the mansion and went to the Meadows' Tavern.

When she arrived, Lewis was already sitting down in front of Raye and Grover. He looks down. Did something happened? "Night, night, humans of my heart," Donna exclaimed behind them and they both jumped as none of them had seen her. And when she put down her hoodie, their eyes all darkened. "It took me sometime, but I'm here."

"8 pm. We were gettin' worried, lil' cat. Ya look better. Did yer physician heal ya?" Grover asked as she sat down close to Lewis.

"Not much, since the wounds were too…" she clenched her jaw, "difficult to deal with. I definitely lost sight of my left eye, and my ears will stay like this. My thigh feels much better. But my back still hurts, though not as much as it did yesterday thanks to Gabriel and the painkiller he gave me thrice," she turned to Lewis and he had a strange look on, but she still caressed his soft dark hair with her hands. "Did something happen? You don't look well."

He caressed her hand that was on his hair and brought it to his lips, kissing the back of her palm, "We'll talk later."

Something definitely happened. "It's okay. I also have something to tell you." I hope he likes it.

Raye and Grover exchanged a look, then their eyes met Lewis and they all seemed to seriously misunderstand the situation. Is Donna gonna tell the boy that she slept with her Knight? The couple thought, since to them, she stayed longer on their home with Timothy, and they had let it slip out when talking to Lewis.

"I'm really hungry," she smiled, clueless, and turned to the couple. "You can chose what I'll eat tonight!" As they nodded and went inside, Donna turned to Lewis again, and using her super strength, she made his iron seat come sooner to hers, enjoying how fast his heart was beating, and the blush on his cheeks. "Here," she handed him the magic bag with A Love for the Princess filled with her notes side-to-side with his. "I'll only be giving you this one back."

Why? Did she gave the other one to the damned Knight? "Why?"

Donna grabbed his shirt and brought his even closer, nuzzling her nose to his, touching their foreheads. "I want to keep it with me. I'll take it with me when the Devil takes me away. He won't kill me here, so, I'll probably stay a bit in hell before becoming his meal. And I want to have something of yours with me."

Donna… fuck. I'm so stupid. "Are you trying to make me cry?"
