Chapter 1

Kyudai Garaki was nervous.

A rather new feeling for him, considering his intelligence normally put him above stupid mistakes everyone around him would make and make them nervous.

But he was. His master, the only man who had taken his 'Quirk Singularity' theory seriously was dead. Killed by the so called 'Symbol of Peace'. Bah, the man had earned that moniker though violence against those that society rejected and murder of another man. And now he was sitting in his lab, nervously gazing at the tank which contained the new body he had prepared for AfO.

It was far more anesthetically pleasing to one's eye compared to his other experiments on project 'Nomu', and much different than how his master used to be. Long whiteish blond hair floating in the green purplish liquid which could not hide the body's more darkish skin color. The kind of skin tone that would not be seen in Japanese natives before the era of quirks, this new body was the cultivation of all of his work. His masterpiece.

But his master still hadn't awoken. It was alive, the signs showed it! And his brain patterns were healthy! Much like a simple individual sleeping after a hard days work. But it simply would not awaken!

Sometimes, Garaki could not help but think if his master had been wrong. That his quirk would not give the new body life, that the Symbol of Evil, the great All for One was gone forever. He'd simply slap himself whenever he thought something along those lines. It was blasphemous. To think that his master was wrong. The body would awaken, he was sure of it.

That was what he had told himself ever since All for One's death. That the body would awaken soon. That he could start bigger project with his master on his side. But the body would never awaken. Till now…

As he saw the brain patterns pick up, from a sleeping person to one that was awake. All of Garaki's fatigue was forgotten as he rushed at the tank and saw that the body was moving. Fingers twitching, head slowly shaking from right to left and eyes fluttering! He rushed back to his computer and start pushing buttons. His master was awakening! And as he pushed the final button, the liquid inside the tank was flushed out and the glass parted ways for the body to come out.

As he prepared himself to catch the body, he saw what should be scientifically impossible. The body was standing! Sure the legs were shaking like a quirkless man trying to lift a car but it was standing! He dared to hope…

"Master?"

The eyes finally opened. A reddish brown, much like All for One's had been. But they were slightly a lighter shade looking less like blood and more like the rays of a new sunrise.

"Not… quite…" the body rasped with a voice that was hoarse, not surprising considering this was the first time this body had used it's vocal cords. But before Garaki could ask more, the body once more closed its eyes and lost consciousness.

Not happy with the situation but far too curious about it as well, Garaki started to drag the body toward the bed he had prepared for the time where his master would awaken. So many questions.

He was not sure how long he had slept for. He wasn't even sure how long it had been since AfO's death before he woke up. Though he had to admit that Garaki did some good work with his body, he already felt far stronger than when he got out of the tank. Made evident by the fact that he was already standing under his own strength with no inclination of that he was having issues.

"You said 'not exactly'." Garaki's voice came from behind him and he turned to look at the old scientist. His gear like glasses and bushy mustache combined with his his short and portly stature would make him a rather amusing sight if it was not for the intensity in his eyes.

"Who are you?" yeah and wasn't that the question. Fortunately he did have an answer.

"My name is Shigaraki Shotoku, I am the son of All for One." even if everything went to shit from here on, Shotoku could easily say that he would be still happy after seeing the wide eyed and slack jawed expression of Garaki.

"B-But how?!" and there it was, Garaki definitely was worried but even more than that, he was curious. Kyudai Garaki might be a monster and a villain but he was a scientist before everything else, one that had been alive since the dawn of quirks just like All for One. His hypothesis on Quirk Singularity event was rejected by his fellow scientist but none could actually claim that the man was an idiot. And with all the time since he had joined All for One, this was probably the first time his curiosity of science had been reignited by something that was not a Nomu.

So he started to talk, about how AfO Quirk interacting with a new body had caused the creation of another, new mind inside the body rather than just having All for One take over. He talked about how he had interacted with All for One and how he was given a name and how he had learned about life from his 'father'.

Garaki seemed to buy it as he took off his glasses and wiped some unshed tears off of his eyes. Caused by the grief of his master truly passing away and by the joy of a part of him staying alive in the world. A heir.

"Young Shotoku, is there anything you need." seeing that doctor was genuine, proved by a voice in his head that was more than likely an emotion detecting quirk, he decided that he could trust the doctor and start to plan for this new world. But first...

"Some pants would be wonderful."

He needed to stop standing around naked.
