Free Medical Treatment

The wind howled louder swaying the trees some distance away. A young man could be seen walking slowly away from his house planning where to stay for awhile. He planned to come back about three days later hoping everything would be back to normal.

At that moment, however, the door of the capsule was forcefully opened with a bang. The young man stopped and looked back. His heart was pounding. A woman who looked like she was in her early twenties crawled out coughing. She was dressed in a tight pitch black attire which covered her whole body with a red emblem of five stars at its chest area.

The woman raised her head once she was completely out and her eyes met with the young man's eyes.

The young man cursed under his breath wondering what demon had possessed him and made him stand there and watch instead of running away. He turned away and started running as if by instinct.

However, he did not reach far before he heard a sound. His head turned to look back yet his body kept moving. It was the woman trying to talk to him.

Looking at the distance between them, about thirty meters, the man stopped and turned completely ready to run away at full speed if anything happened.

At that moment, the girl started speaking in an unfamiliar language as she removed something from the capsule pointing it at the man. The object was small, about the size of her palm, with writings on it, glowing a brilliant purple colour at its edges. It was her badge.

The man seeing this, cursed thinking it was a long range alien weapon and that he had been beaten. In his mind, he thought of turning to run but thought better of it as any long range weapon from that distance would be easy to use for someone experienced.

The woman seeing that the man had relaxed was relieved and tossed her badge back into the capsule. She started walking towards the man only to be surprised at what happened next.

Seeing the weapon had been discarded and noticing the woman approach him. The man didn't think much and instantly started running making a beeline for the trees just in case the woman took the weapon and shot at him.

Finally reaching the trees, the man looked back only to see she was chasing him. And she was fast.

He quickened his pace running as fast as he could. The chase continued for about two minutes and the man's stamina was clearly nearly at his limit due to running at full speed.

'Shouldn't have skept leg day' he thought realising he was slowing down.

Looking back, he realised the woman was extremely close. He cursed inwardly, looking forward as he saw a busy road. He didn't stop though. He couldn't. He was more scared of the beautiful woman behind him than he was of getting hit by a car.

Tires screeched as the man successfully managed to cross. The woman behind him, however, was not that lucky. Braking completely at the speed it was moving was impossible for one car which ended up hitting the woman unconscious.

Some distance away, the man was relieved but continued running just in case. There's nothing like being too careful after all.

At a hospital far away from the beach.

Kin(the Arkian) had been brought here by the person who hit her posing as a good Samaritan and paying her medical fee before making a swift exit.

A while later, the woman awoke. Recalling what had happened, she frowned.

"Why was he that afraid of me? Is he shy or something?"

She recalled trying to ask the man for help only for him to run away.

It didn't take long before a woman dressed in blue attire entered the room with a smile. Kin guessed that she was a medical staff.

The nurse spoke to Kin but she couldn't understand a word. Kin began to speak but the woman looked at her confused. It then hit her.

"Of course there would be a language barrier. Earth distances itself from the rest of the planet. Probably no one here speaks Greek."

The nurse took her hand and gently pulled her towards another woman who was dressed in white. An object bearing resemblance to the stethoscopes on Ark were hunged on her shoulders.

The woman tried speaking with her but the nurse cut her off seemingly informing her of the situation. The woman pondered for a moment before handing Kin a small packet with what Kin assumed was medicine.

The woman then raised her index finger while pointing at the medicine with her free hand. She then dropped the hand that was pointing and raised three fingers. Kin had understood what the woman was implying so she nodded. She was then lead outside the building.

"Huh? Is medical treatment free on Earth?" She asked herself.

"Well in any case, I should return to the capsule first and try fixing whatever can be fixed."
