Don't Worry

Eunica and Luinn went silent as they stare at Raye. He's staring in the casket with tearful eyes and a soft smile.

"Oh, she's awake?" Luinn asks and he happily walks towards the casket and looks inside, "Oh my, how lovely," he said and looks at Eunica, "She looks exactly like you."

Raye nodded, "Eunica, you should be thankful to Luinn. If he was not able to create this revival fluid, your mother won't be alive."

"Oh, no," Luinn chuckles, "I used your science laboratories and without the notes that were written by your scientist, we will not be able to use create this. It's a good product to sell, don't you think?"

It's tempting, Eunica fights the urge to ran to the casket and see her mother, but if she did she'll be showing an act of dealing with Luinn. It will look like she's going to accept his offer of normal life and family in exchange for her blood to take over a thousand hybrids peacefully sleeping in the laboratory.

She bites the inside of her mouth while frowning, she wants to see her mother who she never saw. She wants to see if they really do look alike. But if she did, this game is over. She won't be able to free Jin and the others in the SINS.

"What are you doing? You should rest, darling," Raye whispers as his eyes look at Lara with worry while she gets up.

For twenty years, she's been kept inside this white porcelain casket with liquids in her body to keep her in perfect shape and condition. The preservation formula did great, she just looks pale, not dead. Her bones are even brittle. Her skin still feels smooth.

But when Luinn took the SINS, she was kept in a secret quarter, just beside the laboratory. He wasn't able to visit and see her for a decade, not until Luinn made a deal. First, before finding out about Lara's corpse, Luinn promised Raye that he will have a wealthy life if he works for him. Then, after finding out about Lara's body, Luinn asked for the key in the laboratory with the bonus of bringing his wife back to life.

He waited for years to finally see her corpse, but now that she's breathing in front of him, he can forget about everything and just carry on with Lara and Eunica.

Lara's vision's still not that good, but she can see things near her. Her hearing's excellent but not her voice. She can't utter any word, only sounds. The moment the liquid entered her body, it was like her bones were set on fire, like her veins flow with a feeling of comfort and life. She's been stuck in the darkness for as long as she can remember. And when a hint of light came, she quickly grabbed it.

She sits up, her bones seemed to crack at first, but now, she feels fine and alive. She stared at the person in front of her, it's Angelo. Her husband and friend. His voice still sounds like honey and butter, sweet and smooth. But there's a hint of melancholy in his eyes.

She raised her hands and touched his cheeks, it's warm, unlike her skin that is slowly filling up with the heat. She smiled at him in the hope of erasing that emotion in his eyes.

She looked on her left and saw an unfamiliar face. He looks like the hunters they used to fear in the tribe when she was young. Human hunters take little hybrids and sell them. They're full of selfishness, hatred, greed, and wickedness.

She looks away and saw this blurry silhouette standing away from them. It was frozen. It's not moving an inch for the few seconds she's staring at it.

Eunica, with wide eyes and open mouth, stares at her beloved mother. She didn't want to see her, but here she is, revealing her radiant beauty before her.

And yes, they look completely alike except for her lovely long eyelashes. Her blank eyes and expression say that she came back from the dead. Her color's slowly coming back and from the way she sits, her bones can't bend that properly now.

Is this the person who gave life to her? Is this her? Eunica ponders on her thoughts that she wasn't able to move. Was this the same body that carried her during her creation? The same woman who gave birth to her?

Eunica took a deep breath, her mother's alive. She is. How can't she feel happy about this? But if she ran towards her and hug her, they'll wonder why. Why is this child running to a mother she never met and is supposed to be not part of her memory? She can't risk anymore. And just like her, an unnatural creation, she's sure her mother will cause a conflict.

"Who is this, father?" Eunica asks with trembling voice.

Her father turns around with a smile of longing and happiness that suddenly broke Eunica's heart.

'Has he always kept the loneliness in his heart? Was he always thinking of me that way? That I killed mother? Does he hate me?' Eunica thought while waiting for his answer.

"Lara, this is Lara. Your mother, Eunica," he said with a soft voice.

Eunica wants to smile and hug her parents, but with the expecting look of Luinn, if she ran there, the deal's sealed. So she just stands straight and nodded, "I don't understand. I just got home with the weirdest turn of events, Father. I'll think about this revelation, can I go now?" she said with her head held high.

Raye was shocked, why did he expect Eunica to take this in this fast? Her memories are erased and the mother she knows is Laika. He even showed her how Lara came back to life.

"Alright," he whispered as he nods, "Get some rest."

Eunica stared at her mother, this can be the last time she'll see her alive. The first and the last. She lavished the few seconds and turn her heel and went for the door.

She's always dead. She will never come back. Eunica was able to live without her; her absence won't affect Eunica any way. Whatever Luinn did is not immortality, it's playing god. Eunica closed the door behind her and leaned against it. She took a deep breath and let her tears fall.

Her maids stare at her worriedly, whatever happened in that room upsets Miss Eunica. 13 held her young miss' hand and smiled softly, Maid Marga nodded and walks before them. She knows she was put into a tight position. Since they became Raye's servants, whenever Luinn is here, they can feel the tension in the mansion.

Raye brushes his wife's hair smoothly, "Don't worry, darling. She will understand someday."

Luinn clears his throat, "I am expecting that the deal will still be followed, or you know what might happen," he caresses Lara's cheeks with a smile that threatens its prey.

Raye nodded aggressively, afraid what might happen to Lara, "Yes. Don't worry, Eunica's blood will be delivered to you within this week."

Lara, who is still confused about what is happening or what they are talking about, felt a wave of great tiredness through her body. She slowly laid back and closed her eyes.

"Goodnight, Lara. Rest well," Raye whispered and kissed his wife's lips.

Eunica took a bath and went to bed early, she declined to have dinner with her father when she was called to. With her blanket covered over her face, she took a deep long breath, "I hate this life!" she yelled.

She heard the door open, "Miss, are you alright?" a guard asks.

Eunica removed the blanket over her face and smiled, "Yes, I am. I am just bashing my life, thank you for your concern."

The guard looks at her weirdly but he just nods and closed the door.

'I can't even use my hybrid powers! I can't smell faint scents, I can't hear light noises,' she thought and threw her pillow on the floor.

The night's slowly creeping in, the moon that slowly uncovers her beauty attracted Eunica to stand up and watch her in the sky.

"At least you can see the city lights from here," Eunica whispers while sitting on the window seat. She took a pillow and placed it on her lap.

Suddenly, she remembered Jin. Due to being with her family and uncovering discoveries about her parents and Luinn, she was not able to remember the guy she punched in the stomach that most likely looks for her right now. She knows he was just worried, but if she didn't take the opportunity, who knows when it will come? Also, the two girls might have slitted throat right now if she didn't stop her father from taking them.

Eunica slightly opened the window to let the fresh cold breeze in, she took a full air into her body to calm her mind and body.

'I wonder what they're doing right now,' she thought of her cousin, uncle, friends, and Jin.

With her eyes closed, she remembers Jin's eyes, the moment when both of them decided to surrender into the urge. It was very beautiful. The shade of blue, with an overflowing sense of passion, and love. His smooth skin was warm. His tawny hair was the color of sunset she watched before falling into his kisses.

Eunica held her arms, she longs for Jin's hugs. The ones that comfort and secures her.

"Miss," Maid Marga called from the door, "Please eat something before going to be," she said as she places a tray of food on the table, "There's hot choco as well."

Eunica opened her eyes and looks at Maid Marga, "Can I ask you, Marga?"

Maid Marga was shocked to be called by her name only. She expected Eunica to be cruel to hybrids since she works for SINS too, but from how she's acting, she became sure that Eunica's a good person with a scent of hybrids. Maid Marga thought it's because of her working with hybrids 24/7.

"Yes?" Maid Marga smiled and stands up straight while facing a beautiful scenery.

Eunica with the moonlight behind her, she looks like a lone wolf, a sad goddess and a dream.

"Have you... ever been in love?"

Maid Marga smiled, "Of course, I have," she walks towards the other window and stared into the starry sky, "I have a family."

Eunica paused, with the looks of Maid Marga, she does look like a mother of children. Her strict eyes, it shows authority, and when she talks to Li and Den, she has the sweetest voice and smile.

"I have three cubs, Miss. My husband's a warrior of our tribe- Ursus Tribe."

Her voice was lonely, longing and sadness. She's been away from them for three years now. She was abducted while washing her family's clothes and since then, she never saw her little cubs. All she can remember was their smiling faces and how they call her 'Ma.'

Her husband, the strongest of them all, was the funniest and loving man she ever met.

"I met my husband when I was taking honey in the forest. He laughed at me when the bees stung my whole body," she chuckled.

"How did you know you love him? Don't you think it's just because of the urge?"

Maid Marga's strict eyes stared at Eunica like she's the stupidest person she ever met.

"You like a hybrid?" she asks.

Eunica looks away with her cheeks brushed with red, "Why? Can't a human fall for a hybrid?"

Maid Marga's sharp eyes turned soft, "I'm sorry, I was just shocked. Anyways... urges... yes, it might be because of the urge."

Eunica sighed, of course, it is. Jin did that because of the urge not because he loves her.

"But, urges only happen with the person you love."

Eunica threw the pillow at her maid, "NO WAY!"

Maid Marga's eyes look at her widely with surprise, "What?"

"There's no way!" Eunica stands up and walks back and forth, "You mean, if I was a hybrid, I can only feel the urge with a person I love?"

"Yes, it's impossible to be seduced by someone you don't love, don't you think? Only humans have that kind of... trash. Attraction and seduction are different."

"What if I don't love that person anymore, and then I loved another one. Can I feel the urge again?"

Eunica stops on her track and ran to Maid Marga with a waiting look.

Maid Marga laughs softly then her eyes turned dark and cold, "No," she said and walks towards the door, "Only humans feel that way. Hybrids only love one person throughout their lives. Someone is made for someone not sometwo or somethree."

Eunica blinks her eyes with that "sometwo and somethree" of Marga but when the doors was closed and she was left alone, she froze with a red face, and the room became loud with her heart beating like a thunder. It struck her mind.

"Then... Jin and I are meant to be..."

Eunica bites her lips as a smile forms, "TOGETHER!" she shrieked and jumped up and down.

Everything suddenly seemed normal, happy and well for her. No worries, no danger, no manipulation, and no restriction. All she can feel is the warmth in her chest.

"Don't worry, we'll be together. No matter what. We'll be happy," she whispered in determination.

Jin and the others were already in the city, all of them are staring in the metropolis' hill where Raye's mansion is.

"We'll get you, Angel," Jin whispered while clenching his fist, "Don't worry."
