Chapter-2

"Jarvis, let's go to that mountain tomorrow." A 3-year-old Rohana chirped. She pointed at a steep black-grey peak. Ice covered its top half.

Jarvis's old grey eyes glanced at the mountain and calmly looked at his princess.

"Princess, that mountain is really dangerous." What his eyes saw was a giant grey cone covered with black dust. He thought that this peak's air can damage the princess's lungs. She is just a child.

"But I want to go." Her crystal doe eyes expanded and looked at Jarvis pitifully.

"Your majesty, that mountain peak is sealed by your father. We can't go unless he grants his permission."

Her eyes dropped suddenly.

"My… father…??"

Jarvis cautiously glanced at her face. He knew what she was thinking.

A girl who hadn't seen her father or brothers physically thinks that they hate her. even if it's easy to coax her, but you can see a line of distress on her face.

"Your majesty, it's time to eat dinner. Let me escort you to the dining room." He sleekly stretched his both arms and pulled her body up in the air. In just no time she was resting on his right arm.

Night fell soon. As one of her habits, she reached her balcony which was adored with white camelia flowers. Full moon peeked at her face through wisterias that were beautifully hung on the ceiling of the balcony; silently admiring this little beauty.

She sat down on the wooden swing placed in the middle of the huge balcony. Her eyes glanced at the mountain mercilessly ignoring the beautiful moon. It seems the moon was upset with her gesture, partially hiding its face in the passing cloud.

"The night is beautiful." She muttered. Her eyes closed as her soul danced slowly with the warm wind. Listening to her compliment night glowed, it wants to show her a more beautiful side of its'.

Big doe stars twinkled as they also want to see her beauty. They peeked right through the curtains of clouds. The night danced, the moonlight fell and the stars twinkle it seems clouds wanted to hide this little beauty.

Rohana relaxed her body and took solace in the night silently thanking it.

But the solace was short-lived. Her ears ring with the small rustle of bushes. She opened her eyes and thought it was wind. But the night proved its innocence by stopping the wind. She glanced in the direction of the voice. Just as her eyes fell on the bushes downwards, the rustling stopped.

A sigh escaped her mouth and she again climbed her swing, but not long after eyes fall on the sparkling black dust covering a partial amount of her favorite camelia.

"My lady." A gentle voice like a piece of piano fell in her ears. A voice that can push you into the pool of peace.

"Who??" not feeling any fear, Rohana voiced her thought.

A dark shadow appeared her front of her. With a smile on her small lips shadow's dark straight hairs flowed in the wind. Although her appearance was dark anyone can notice her features. Her silver eyes glanced at Rohana as the white crescent moon on her forehead glowed.

"I apologize for suddenly startling you, but I can't hold myself anymore." A light shred of happiness was heard in her voice.

"But who are you??" Rohana innocently asked.

"Allow me to introduce myself." She floats her way towards Rohana and squatted down. Her soft black palm holds the little hand of Rohana.

With a slight bow of her head, she closed her eyes.

"I am the greatest queen of the night; everyone calls me Ophia Almer." She kissed her small hands. Rohana was quite flustered; it was evident from the little redness on her cheeks.

"Get up," Rohana whispered. A chuckle escaped from Ophia's throat.

"Don't be cruel to your subjects, my lady. Let me admire you." She stroked Rohana's small hand which she was still grasping.

Rohana's blush intensified. Ophia's cat-shaped silver eyes can't seem to look at something else.

"Umm… but why is this queen here??" she eyed the black shadow sitting on the ground holding her hand.

"I told you… I couldn't hold myself."

"Why??" her innocent eyes locked with the seductive one.

"I am not sure if I can tell you." She avoided her gaze.

"Why?"

"I am not allowed."

"Why??"

"Because I am just a mere subject."

"For who?"

"For you, my lady." Sweat dripped from her neck as she faced this little girl's question. She was mannered but still persistent. Ophia suddenly doesn't know how to handle the situation.

"So, why can't you tell me??" Rohana blinked her almond eyes.

"Because this is not the right time." She smiled at Rohana's innocent eyes.

"You are beautiful," Rohana muttered.

Now it was Ophia's time to blush. Red color illuminated her dark face.

Rohana yawned. Her eyelids dropped.

"Let me escort you to your bed, my lady." With a rustle she got up, revealing no body but only a heavy shadow. Ophia held the small body in her long arms and picked her up in princess style.

With a few steps, Ophia put her small body down on the bed and covered her with a quilt.

"Have a good night my queen." She whispered to Rohana's sleeping body and disappeared into the air.

Opposite Rohana's night, there was still a place where solace can't reach.

The whole room was covered in darkness with a small light of a fire burning in the furnace. The light illuminated a small portion of the room where three sets of wing chairs rested.

Light smoke covered the area of the chimney. Not the smoke of fire but a cigar was lighted in the coldness of the room.

"Do you think, she would have remembered us??" a deep voice sounded in the room, the two men who were sitting opposite the closest chair to the chimney, looked in his direction.

The middle one relaxed his body, and calmly glanced at the other party, the left closest to the chimney just shrugged.

"Why would you think so??" the middle-seated man voiced his thoughts.

"Because last time, she does." The right seated who raised the question, replied to his brother and his own question.

"It's been 500 hundred years since she had gone. I don't think, she would have remembered us." The left seated voiced.

"Do you think, the supreme God has something to do with this??" the right seated again asked.

"Doubt?? No, he does have his hands behind these. He clearly told us; this cycle is necessary for the balance. She has to travel various dimensions at once. She had met us all at different times and different dimensions, and every time she couldn't remember her previous partner. And now we are in the same dimension, how could she possibly recognize us??" the middle one calmly answered.

"And not to forget, she had promised few people in her previous incarnation that she will be her family in her next life. So now, she is living with her family. We can't even take her here." The left man continued.

"I so wanted to see her right now. I missed her so much." The right man voiced.

"We also do." The conversation ended with the night. No one knew that by hearing their conversation someone smiled.
