Can We Go Back?

The breath on the back of her neck evened out, and she knew he had finally fallen asleep, tired out from yet another argument, they had had that afternoon.

His arm tightened around her waist, and she tried to focus on that, instead of the words they had thrown at each other. And the many objects that had shattered against whatever they had hit. Broken like the pieces of their relationship, that were becoming harder to fix; no glue in the world was strong enough to put it all back together.

Day after day, she asked herself why they were still together. Why they hadn't just called it quits and gone their separate ways. Why was it so difficult to just walk away?

Everything now was just routine, like something that they had gotten used to. And without the other person, their lives would lose meaning and become dull.

Chaehee was close to breaking down, and she could tell that Yeosang was exactly the same.

The love between them was still there, but it was nothing like what they had at the start when they were young and carefree. More than anything, they wanted to go back to those happier times and make sure that things don't become like they are now.

However, was that even possible? Could they really go back to the start?

Chaehee brushed aside the questions and what had happened in the afternoon. Not long after she joined Yeosang in the land of dreams.

Seeing as both of them were now asleep, they didn't notice as a bright light lit up their bedroom. Then things started to look distorted.
