Chapter 2

Hyun Na Bi couldn't sleep for a second after she knew that she knew that she had travelled to the past. She still wasn't sure if she was happy or sad that she had come back to the past but at least she was relieved that she had escaped from the hell which was her husband's family. The thought of her children having to stay at that hell hole was the only thought that kept her awake. Her son was eight years old and daughter was six but her husband's family had sent them both abroad for studies. Hyun Na Bi had done everything she could to stop that from happening, but they said that was the family tradition and they would not change it for anyone. Her husband Park Dae Hyun was the second of the family, but her son was the first born boy in the family. So the entire family was poking their nose into her son's education and in the end she could not let her son do as he wants. Hyun Na Bi could not even imagine how her children would live after this, there was not a single person in the family who would guide them in the future and with her gone, she was not sure if her brother in law would let her son alive.

Hyun Na Bi was thinking about her children and sighing the whole night. When the sun came out, she made a decision. No matter what, she cannot see her children again and so decided to focus on her life now. Hyun Na Bi was not ready to marry Park Dae Hyun once again and that meant that her children would never be born into this world. Though she felt sad thinking about it, Hyun Na Bi decided to be selfish and change her future even if it meant that her children would never be born.

When at last Jeong Hyun Joo woke up at 8, she saw Hyun Na Bi lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling lost in thought.

Jeong Hyun Joo looked at Hyun Na Bi for a whole minute but it did not look like Hyun Na Bi would turn to look at her, so she asked, "You didn't sleep?"

Sleep was the last thing in Hyun Na Bi's mind right now.

Hyun Na Bi shook her head and continued, "Let's go out and eat. No let's eat in the canteen first and let's leave after that"

Jeong Hyun Joo just nodded her head and started texting her boyfriend. She thought that Hyun Na Bi was still processing the events of last evening so she did not ask further questions.

Hyun Na Bi informed her, "I'll get ready first" and went to take bath. She wanted to use the second chance she was given as per her wish, so she did not waste any time and getting ready.

Hyun Na Bi was getting ready and that is when there was a delivery for her. It was cupcakes fresh from a bakery along with breakfast. Just seeing the sugar made Hyun Na Bi's mouth water. Sugar was one among the many ingredients banned from the house and sugar was as her mother in law said, 'the most poisonous substance' in the world. Hyun Na Bi did not care that they were so health conscious and did not want to eat all this, but she was also not allowed to eat it as she would serve as a bad example to her kids.

Seeing Hyun Na Bi zone out, Jeong Hyun Joo called out, "I will take it out of your eye sight. Don't you dare start crying?"

Hyun Na Bi tried to clear her head and come to the present. She stopped Jeong Hyun Joo who was ready to throw it away and asked her, "Who sent this to me?"

"Really you don't remember? Or are you handling your rejection like this?"

Seeing Hyun Na Bi's confused face, Jeong Hyun Joo continued stressing each and every word, "This was the food you ordered daily for 'who know who' so that you can see him daily first thing in the morning"

"I remember"

Hyun Na Bi could remember vaguely that this was one of the several things that she did foolishly when she was chasing around Jin Yong when she was young. Honestly there was so much she did for him and all those things felt childish right now.

Hyun Na Bi took the parcel from her, "Don't waste food. Let's eat this first and then we can leave"

Jeong Hyun Joo just stood there staring at Hyun Na Bi, but Hyun Na Bi took the cupcakes out and started eating it, "OMG!!! I must have been really a fool. I bought so much tasty food with my money and I wasted it all away on him!!! I must have really lost my mind"

Jeong Hyun Joo stood frozen in her place and just stared at Hyun Na Bi trying to understand the whole situation. After looking at Hyun Na Bi for some time, she said, "You don't look sad"

Hyun Na Bi just nodded her head and continued eating.

When Hyun Na Bi did not answer, Jeong Hyun Joo continued, "You look happy"

Hyun Na Bi's lips curved into a smile, "That's because I am happy right now"

Hyun Na Bi was really happy right now. Everything she missed in the past was now in front of her eyes and she did not have a care in the world right now and everything made her feel alive.

Hyun Na Bi looked through her closet. Since Jin Yong's favorite color was blue, most of her clothes were blue. Seeing her past life unload in front of her eyes showed her how many mistakes she had made in the past and how much time she had wasted on a jerk.

All her clothes were tight and what she would call uncomfortable. They were very few clothes comfortable enough to wear now.

Hyun Na Bi turned towards her friend's closet. It had some pretty decent clothes compared to hers.

"Let me borrow your dress and let's go shopping today. It's time to give my wardrobe a changeover"

This felt like heaven to Hyun Na Bi after being suppressed in the mansion for so many years.

Now she could eat whatever she wants, go wherever she wants, and most importantly do whatever she wants. Eating bland food for the past 10 years had killed her tongue. No fast foods were allowed and she was not allowed to even eat the food she liked. Her husband followed a strict vegan diet and she was forced to cook and eat that tasteless food all these years just as her husband.

Hyun Na Bi was ready to eat all the food that she missed.

Seeing the energetic Hyun Na Bi, Jeong Hyun Joo was getting worried, "Are you okay?"

"Hmm… why?"

"Because yesterday…"

"What happened yesterday?"

Hyun Na Bi had read in stories that people each and every incident in their life even if they travelled back. They were able to remember even what questions were asked in the exam. But that was not the case for her. 14 years was a long time and she couldn't remember anything exactly. Hyun Na Bi could remember certain things vaguely from what happened in her college days but she couldn't remember the exact details. How the hell was she supposed to remember what happened before 14 years on an exact date?

By the way Jeong Hyun Joo was repeating it again and again, Hyun Na Bi could understand that something major had happened the day before but she was not bothered. She was alive now and that was all that mattered to her right now.

Seeing Hyun Na Bi's happy face, Jeong Hyun Joo did not want to bring it up, so Jeong Hyun Joo just smiled, "Nothing. Let's have fun"

Hyun Na Bi took her friend's hand and started walking, "It's my treat. I'll take you to a nice place"

Jeong Hyun Joo stopped walking and asked her, "Wait I thought you were saving up to move out of the dorm."

Well this was something she could remember. She had used up all her savings to rent the apartment opposite to Jin Yong's and like everything else, that also was a total waste of money. Hyun Na Bi had rented that place even though the rent was high. She wanted to stay next to Jin Yong at all costs and that was one among the long list of foolish things she had done in her life.

Hyun Na Bi shook her head, "I changed my mind. I'm not going anywhere"

By the end of the day when they returned to the dorm they were holding bags on both hands.

Hyun Na Bi fell asleep as soon as her head touched the pillows. It had been years since she had slept peacefully.
