Beast of Calamity

She tried looking outside, but the flames blocked her path, and she loudly asked, "Who are you? What are you doing with Wendy?"

"So… You finally talk, huh. Get out. There are things you must know. I presume the antibodies to prevent them from turning into Dragons has been finished."

Thoroughly confused how this person seemed to know about that. She thought it wouldn't be a bad idea. From what she could sense, she had around half of her original power.

As long as the person in front of her wasn't Acnologia, she would be able to protect herself and Wendy.

After she got out, she found the surroundings to be a little strange. Wendy was down unconscious together with a White coloured cat Carla, and a gorgeous white-haired woman.

However, this wasn't what confused her. Her surroundings were entirely covered by a dense dome of Azure Flames.

She looked in front of her and noticed a human, he was probably the one utilizing the magic, she deduced. As for Wilson standing next to Shun, she narrowed her eyes at his forehead, the part where the symbol of King seemed to be inscribed onto him.

She let out an angry growl, "What is a Godbeast doing here?"

This question left both Shun and Wilson confused, and they both responded collectively, "What?"

Regaining his composure, Shun said, "That's another matter. Let's discuss this later. Grandeeney… let me ride on your back and start flying. It isn't safe for me to do this any longer in this place."

"And pray to tell me why you have erected this dome here? I admit your control over the Azure Flames is impressive, but if you think I will leave my daughter alone while she is unconscious, then you have another thing coming. What are you planning, human?"

Shun narrowed his pupils as she earnestly said, "Listen, Grandeeney, you may not be aware of it, but you dragon release a huge amount of energy unconsciously. It is enough to suppress the civilians around. This happened the last time Igneel appeared. Everyone in the town felt that heat and pressure. Just start flying high in the air where it wouldn't affect the people. I do not wish for others to know you have been released."

"Igneel!? You said, Igneel appeared!? Impossible! Did Acnologia appear!?"

"No… I pulled Igneel out of Natsu's body the same way I did to you. Now… Let's continue this talk high above in the sky before this Huge Azure Flames dome attracts someone's attention."

"You know of Igneel, huh. You say you pulled him out of Natsu. This is different from what we have planned. Very well… Get on my back. We shall leave right now. However, I wish to know all the details about this."

"I will tell you all that I can."

Meanwhile, Wilson was standing there with wide-eyed expression since the time he heard the term Godbeast.

It seemed like this word shook him a lot more than anything else.

However, Shun didn't care much before he picked up Wilson and jumped onto Grandeeney's back. He could get that answer later. For now, he had to heal Grandeeney and then tell her about the talk he had with Igneel.

In just around 2-3 minutes, they were in the sky. Shun was used to this altitude, but this was the first time Wilson gazed upon the scenery from this height. However, he wasn't too scared. If he fell down, he could still fly after all.

Wilson was curious about the term Godbeast and immediately asked Grandeeney, "What is Godbeast? Why did you refer to me as a Godbeast?"

Grandeeney was a little confused by this question, and she responded with a shrug, "So, what should I call you? A powerless little cat?"

Grandeeney was being a little sarcastic by calling it a powerless little cat, but Wilson felt like those words were appropriate, wasn't it?

"Isn't that what I am? The only thing I can do is fly. What is Godbeast?"

Grandeeney looked shocked at hearing that response, "Impossible… I will never forget the smell of a Godbeast. I am sure that you are a Godbeast because the last Godbeast which I saw was killed by Acnologia. That was probably the only good thing he must have done in its life."

"Killing a Godbeast was a good thing? How so?" Shun was now curious about this Godbeast. He had initially thought it was just a beast-like Dragons but with some sort of God Energy. However, the truth seems to be something else.

"I guess it would be troubling for you to understand it if I call it a Godbeast. For humans, it is known as a Beast of Calamity!"

Shun and Wilson were both shocked at this truth.

"What!?"

"I am a Beast of Calamity?"

This was indeed shocking information for the two of them.

"What is the Beast of Calamity?"

Though it was shocking news, they both still didn't know what a Beast of Calamity was.

"You humans should be thankful to us Dragons. The fact that you humans have lived so long without even knowing the existence of the Beast of Calamity."

Grandeeney spoke as she flew higher. Soon enough, they were above the clouds, and she started talking about it, "A Beast of Calamity is a beast created by the Gods and sent to destroy all life on Earthland."

"What? I am being sent on Earthland to destroy all life here?"

"Yes… Every 2000 years, a Beast of Calamity is sent in this realm to destroy all life present here. It is a method of resetting everything."

"Gods send a Beast of Calamity to destroy all lives in this realm? This is interesting information…"

"Yes. However, I am surprised to see this Beast of Calamity. From the eclipse gate, we passed only 400 years, not 2000 years. The last Beast of Calamity was killed by Acnologia after all."

"I am still not sure if he is a Beast of Calamity as you call him. His appearance is pretty harmless. Besides, didn't you see another cat next to Wendy? Was that a Beast of Calamity as well?"

"No… That was an exceed. That's a race from another world known as Edolas. The First form of a Beast of Calamity seems to be modelled after the Exceeds from Edolas. This is not it's true form…"

"What is it's true form then?"
