The blade bit deep, and with a final, gurgling roar, the Abyss Serpent collapsed, its massive body falling into the depths of the Abyss below, disappearing into the swirling darkness.
Silence fell over the plateau, save for the heavy breathing of the group as they stood, victorious but shaken.
Wei Lin wiped the sweat from her brow, her eyes still fixed on the Abyss. "That was just the beginning," she said quietly, her voice resolute. "The real challenge lies inside."
Mara nodded, her spear resting against her shoulder. "Whatever is waiting for us in the Void won't be so easily defeated."
Darian sheathed his blades, a crooked grin back on his face. "Well, that was fun. Let's see what else this place has in store for us."
Selene looked at Wei Lin, her expression serious. "We need to be careful. The Void's influence is stronger than ever now. One wrong step, and it could consume us all."
