Victorious, Four-sure!

The episode starts with Jessie about to battle against a male trainer with spiky black hair, blue eyes, a black t-shirt, and pants, as her third league battle is about to begin. The start of Jessie's third league battle is about to begin.

The trainer pulls out a Poké Ball. "Tauros, I choose you, bro!" He sends out his Tauros as the first Pokémon of the battle.

Tauros materializes onto the battlefield and battle cries.

Jessie pulls out an Ultra Ball from her purse. "Okay Onix, I'll start the battle with you!" She sends Onix onto the battlefield.

Onix materializes on the battlefield and lets out a roar.

It cuts to Domino and James, who are about to watch the battle from the crowd. "It looks like Jessie is starting with her recently caught Onix," Domino stated.

"Azurill!" Domino's Azurill cries out in joy in her arms.

James nods in agreement. "Yep, let's see how this battle will go."

To Domino and James' surprise, Meowth pops up next to them in the crowd. "You said it, Jimmy! I should have bought some popcorn!"

"Meowth, what are you doing here and not on the battlefield next to Jessie?!" Domino asked, in disbelief.

"Oh, Jessie told me that she isn't using me in this battle too, so I might as well watch it here with you guys," Meowth answered.

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in joy once more.

The title screen shows.

"Victorious, Four-sure!"

The male trainer starts the battle with the first move. "Tauros, use Take Down attack!"

Tauros roars and starts charging at Onix at a very high speed and is about to slam into the Pokémon.

"Onix, dodge it by using Dig!" Jessie countered.

Onix quickly dives underground of the battlefield as Tauros barely misses the rock snake Pokémon with its Take Down. Tauros starts looking around to where Onix will resurface, only for the ground to shake above the wild bull Pokémon and Onix resurfaces right above Tauros as the Pokémon is now on top of the rock snake Pokémon, twenty-eight feet in the air.

The male trainer looks worried. "Tauros!"

Jessie has a smile on her face. "That's it, Onix, now use Slam!"

Onix shakes Tauros off of its head and then slams its tail into the wild bull Pokémon while it is in the air. Tauros gets flung back to the battlefield wall and faints in battle as the referee declares the round by holding up the red flag. "Tauros is unable to battle, victory of this round goes to the red!"

Tauros' icon disappears on the screen, signaling the Pokémon is out of the battle as it cuts to the crowd. "Seems like Jessie is off with a great start!"

"Maybe she can go with the sweep!" Meowth stated.

James nods in agreement. "That Onix she caught must've been very powerful!"

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in joy.

It cuts back to the battlefield as the trainer recalls Tauros. "Tauros, return!" Before he pulls out a different Poké Ball. "Dugtrio, I choose you!" The trainer sends out Dugtrio next into battle.

Dugtrio materializes. "Trio! Trio! Trio!"

Jessie commands the first move of this round. "Slam once more!"

Onix roars and starts to move its tail to slam the Dugtrio down.

"Use Dig!" The trainer countered.

Dugtrio quickly plops underground to dodge Onix's Slam, and the mole Pokémon plops back up to the surface behind the rock snake Pokémon.

"Behind you, Onix!" Jessie warned.

Onix slowly turns around to face Dugtrio to slam it down with its tail once more, but the mole Pokémon quickly avoids it by going underground again and appearing behind the rock snake Pokémon.

Jessie starts thinking inside her mind. "Dugtrio is too fast and Onix is too slow to land a move on it, I think I have to switch." She pulls out Onix's Ultra Ball to recall her Onix. "Onix, return!" After placing the Ultra Ball back in her purse, Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball and sends it out onto the battlefield. "Diglett, I choose you!"

Once Diglett materializes, the mole Pokémon sparkles around itself, signaling its shininess. "Diglett dig! Diglett dig!"

as the crowd erupts in cheers from seeing a shiny Pokémon. "Jessie's going to fight a Dugtrio with a Diglett?" Domino questioned, a little concerned. "I don't know about this choice."

"Come on, Domino, Jessie can come on top against the evolved form of her Pokémon!" James says, trying to be positive.

"Not last time, as she lost against a Persian with her Meowth…" Domino reminds, which causes Meowth to fall in disbelief.

James' eyes widened. "Oh…"

"A shiny Diglett, huh?" The trainer scoffs. "Sorry, but shiny Pokémon don't automatically win. Dugtrio, use Slash!"

Dugtrio goes underground and then quickly returns to the surface to catch Diglett in surprise by slashing the other mole Pokémon across the face as Diglett takes some damage and cries out in pain.

Jessie grits her teeth. "Sand Attack, let's go!"

Diglett starts throwing sand toward Dugtrio from the hole that it's currently in, blinding the Dugtrio as its accuracy drops down.

"I'm ending this round right now! Dugtrio, use Fissure!" The trainer commanded.

Dugtrio plops underground once more. This time a fissure starts heading towards Diglett, but the mole Pokémon manages to dodge from being instantly knocked out by quickly going underground and then back up the surface in a different location.

The trainer grits his teeth in anger. "Dammit!"

"Nice dodging Diglett, hit them with another Sand Attack!" Jessie commanded again.

"Diglett Dig!" Diglett once more starts throwing more sand from the hole that it's in right at Diglett, blinding the mole Pokémon more.

The trainer also commands the same attack again. "Fissure!"

"Trio!" Dugtrio goes underground once more, a few seconds pass and another fissure starts heading towards Diglett, but the mole Pokémon manages to dodge it again by quickly going underground and resurfacing to a different location on the battlefield.

"Slash!" Jessie commanded.

Diglett plops underground and out of surprise to Dugtrio, Diglett resurfaces right towards Dugtrio and slashes the mole Pokémon. Dugtrio cries out in pain and then faints from the battle. The referee sees Dugtrio and then declares the round by holding up the red flag. "Dugtrio is unable to battle, the winner of this round goes to the red team!"

"Wow, Jessie could sweep this competitor out of the league!" Domino says with a smile.

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in joy.

"I would've knocked out Tauros and Dugtrio all in the same round if Jessie chose me in this battle," Meowth says while crossing his arms.

James chuckles and rubs his head embarrassingly. "Maybe she's saving you for the tough competitors."

The trainer recalls Dugtrio in its Poké Ball. "Dugtrio, return!" He pulls out a different Poké Ball. "This Pokémon right here is the one that will turn this around big time!"

Jessie raises her eyebrow. "Oh really?"

"Exeggutor, you're up next, turn this battle around!" The trainer sends out his Exeggcutor to battle.

Exeggutor materializes. "Exeggutor!"

"Diglett, return!" Jessie recalls Diglett and pulls out a different Poké Ball. "Snorlax, I choose you!" She sends out Snorlax next into battle.

Snorlax materializes. "Snorlax!"

The trainer commands the first move of the round. "Egg Bomb!"

"Exeggutor!" Exeggutor fires multiple egg-shaped balls of light from the top of its head at Snorlax as the sleeping Pokémon, the egg-shaped balls explode once contact, Snorlax taking damage.

Jessie commands her first move of this round. "Body Slam!"

Snorlax starts slowly running towards Exeggutor. "Snorlax! Snorlax! Snorlax!" and fully jumps into the air, about to slam Exeggutor down with its full body, crushing the coconut Pokémon before rolling off of him.

"EXEGGUTOR!" The trainer called out.

Exeggutor slowly gets up, still able to fight. "Exeggutor…"

"Yes! Okay, use Hypnosis and put that Snorlax to sleep!" The trainer commanded.

"Exeggutor!" Exeggutor's eyes glow blue and hypnosis waves are shot out of them, putting Snorlax to sleep.

The trainer laughs. "You can't attack with your Snorlax until they wake up! It's time to turn this battle around. Exeggutor, use-"

Jessie interrupts the trainer. "I don't think so, Snorlax is the master of sleep. Use Sleep Talk!"

"SLEEP TALK?! OH NO!" The trainer said in disbelief.

While asleep, Snorlax gets up and the Pokémon gathers energy in its mouth and fires a yellow-orange beam of energy from it at Exeggutor. An explosion happens as the smoke clears the area for a bit before fading away and revealing that Exeggutor has fainted.

Jessie smirks. "And that's the game right there!"

The referee holds up the red flag to declare the league battle. "Exeggutor is unable to battle, which means the victor of this round and the battle is the red team, Jessie!"

The crowd erupts in cheers as Jessie smiles and waves at the crowd from her victory. "Thank you! Thank you so much, everyone!"

Domino, James, and Meowth all smile at Jessie winning and sweeping her opponent. "She completed the sweep! WOW, I'm proud of her because of how far she came!" Meowth admitted. "Jessie just needs to win one more field and that's the ice field!" Domino stated. "I wonder who will be Jessie's next opponent after this?" James asked.

It cuts to the Team Rocket trio calling their boss Giovanni in their secret base that was set up recently in the Indigo Plateau and soon their boss answers the call. "What is it, you three?"

Cassidy is the first to speak. "Sir, we are currently at the Indigo Plateau to scout for trainers with strong Pokémon, including the one with the talking Meowth, however, we do have some interesting news to share with you."

Giovanni raises an eyebrow. "Oh really? Please tell me this information that you have received."

Butch speaks up next. "There seems to be a blonde trainer and she mentioned a hint of a potential new criminal organization in Kanto, it seems like she was talking with her boss."

"A new criminal organization could be forming, huh?" Giovanni thinks for a little bit. "Okay, I expect you three to put a stop to it. You three told me that you took down the Ruthless Zero organization before and I think you three can do the same thing with this potential organization. Put a stop to it, there can only be one criminal organization in Kanto, and that's Team Rocket! Do not let me down, you three!"

"We won't sir! Me, Cassidy, and Bufford will stop at nothing until they're taken down!" Mondo stated, oblivious behind him that Butch is angry at him for getting his name wrong.

Giovanni nods. "Giovanni out." Their boss ends the call.

"So… what are we going to do exactly?" Butch asked while scratching his head in confusion.

Cassidy explains her plan. "It's simple, we're going to confront this blonde and beat her to a Pokémon battle! Once we do that, she's gonna run out of the league and victory will go to us!"

"She will never beat us in a three-against-one battle! I'm down with this plan!" Mondo says with a smile.

Butch shrugs. "Fine by me, I just want to make the boss happy."

Cassidy points in a random direction. "Let's go find that blonde cheerleader!" She sprints off as her partners-in-crime follow her.

It cuts to when Jessie leaves the Indigo Rock field building after beating and sweeping her opponent and starts talking to herself. "One more battle and I'm in the top sixteen. I can do this, Jessie!"

"Jessie!" Domino cried out as she, James, and Meowth ran towards her. "That was a dominant way to win your match!" She says, pumping her fist up.

Jessie chuckles and rubs her head embarrassingly. "Thanks, Domino, I'm just happy I got to use my three Pokémon in the battle despite the sweep!"

The announcer's voice starts being heard throughout the speakers. "League competitors, if you are still in the Kanto League Tournament, your next challenger and field for tonight will be already posted once the last battle ends! Thank you, goodbye!"

Jessie groans and slowly falls to the ground. "Another battle today? Can't I just have a rest first?"

"This is what I feel every time you keep using me in battles," Meowth says.

Domino sighs, "Welcome to the Pokémon League, Jessie…"

James chuckles. "Looks like Jessie's got a case of first-league tiredness."

Jessie gets back up from the ground. "I wonder if everyone I know also made it this far?" She shrugs. "Oh well, let's go to a restaurant and get something to eat."

As the gang heads off it cuts to the area where the Team Rocket trio is at, in disguise and walking around to look for Samantha. "Have you guys seen her yet?" Cassidy asked.

"If I did, I would say something!" Butch responded.

"Maybe she already lost in the league tournament and left?" Mondo assumed.

Right on cue, the Team Rocket trio spots Samantha walking on the streets and minding her own business. "There she is!" Cassidy pointed out.

"Guess I was wrong then," Mondo admits. "Oh well, let's put a stop to her and make the boss proud!"

Butch pumps his fist up in the air. "Hell yeah!"

As the Team Rocket trio gets ready to surprise her, it cuts to Samantha still walking on the streets, but Team Rocket jumps in front of her as she stops walking. "Um… can I help you three?" Samantha asked.

"Oh you can help us with something, but first you should prepare for trouble!" Cassidy starts the motto as Butch follows up with his next line. "And you can make it double!" "To infect the world with devastation!" "To blind all people within every nation!" "To denounce the goodness of truth and love!" "To extend our wrath to the stars above!" Cassidy rips off her disguise. "Cassidy!" Butch also rips off his disguise. "And Butch of course!" "We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!" "Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!" Mondo jumps in front of the two, ripping off his disguise. "I'm Mondo alright!" Muk burst out of its Poké Ball to say its line, causing the trio to gag in disguise from the smell. "Muk!"

"Stop being a nuisance!" Cassidy angrily recalls Muk back in its Poké Ball.

Samantha raises her eyebrow. "Who are you three again?" The question causes the Team Rocket trio to fall in disbelief until Samantha realizes and recognizes them. "Oh, I know now! You guys tried to steal my Persian earlier!"

Team Rocket quickly gets back up and dusts themselves off. "Well yes, but we know one of your little secrets!" Cassidy says with a smirk while pointing at Samantha.

"Oh really?" Samantha crosses her arms. "What secret are you talking about?"

"Well duh, it's obvious that we know that you're part of some criminal organization, using this league tournament to take over the world!" Butch explained.

"Yeah, the jig is up, girl!" Mondo says. "Stop pretending you're innocent, because you're not, just like us!"

Samantha closes her eyes, looks down, and then proceeds to smirk. "Wow, congratulations to you three Sherlock Holmes, too bad no one's going to believe you three obvious criminals. Unlike you three, I hide my criminal identity."

The Team Rocket trio has their eyes' widened before going into a huddle. "What are we going to do?" Mondo asked. "We simply can't tell no one, especially the police, since we're also criminals," Butch stated. "Guys, I have an idea, don't worry," Cassidy says, as Team Rocket breaks their huddle and she walks towards Samantha. "Okay cheerleader girl, here's a deal for you. If one of us beats you in a Pokémon battle, you quit your little organization, join Team Rocket, and proceed with your little plan as a Team Rocket member!"

"Oh really? Okay, I accept your offer, although a little change." Samantha starts explaining her deal. "You see all three of you with all of your Pokémon against just one of my Pokémon instead. How about that?"

Team Rocket burst into laughter after what Samantha offered them. "You must want to join Team Rocket with an offer like that!" Cassidy pointed out while still laughing.

Samantha shrugs in response. "Maybe I do, maybe I won't, or maybe I'm so strong that I can beat all of your Pokémon with just one of my Pokémon." She smirks.

Cassidy's smirk goes to an angry expression. "OH YEAH?!" She pulls out two Poké Balls for both of her Pokémon. "Alright boys, let's teach this cheerleader girl a lesson!"

Butch and Mondo also proceed to pull out a Poké Ball, with Mondo pulling out two. The Team Rocket trio all shout by sending all of their Pokémon out. "Everyone, come on out!"

All of Team Rocket's Pokémon materialize, shouting out their battle cries. "Raticate!" "Muk!" "Primeape!" "Marowak!" "Ditto!"

Samantha grins as she pulls out a Poké Ball, sending out her Pokémon. "Tentacruel, go!"

Tentacruel materializes. "Tentacruel!"

"EVERYONE, ATTACK!" Team Rocket commanded.

Raticate, Muk, Primeape, Marowak, and Ditto all dashed towards Tentacruel, ready to attack the jellyfish Pokémon, until Samantha was still grinning, but this time she had her arms crossed. "Surf!"

Tentacruel's two red orbs on the side of its head begin to glow, then the jellyfish Pokémon summons a huge wave, heading directly towards Team Rocket's Pokémon and destroying all of them to Team Rocket's panic as the giant wave is heading towards them and start hugging each other for in fear. "I think we're gonna get waved off!" Cassidy joked in fear as the giant wave sent Team Rocket and their Pokémon blasting off. "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

"Nice job, Tentacruel!" Samantha recalls Tentacruel back in its Poké Ball. "Now what was I doing? Oh right, finding out my next loser who's going to lose to me."

It cuts to the restaurant where the gang is currently eating. We see Jessie stuffing her face with food with much to Meowth, Domino, and James' concern. "Umm Jessie, you might want to slow down with your eating," Domino suggested.

Jessie shakes her head no. "I have to get all the food in my system so I can stay focused for my next league battle! If I manage to win on the ice field, then I officially won on every battlefield and will be in the top sixteen!"

"Umm, there's a problem, Jessie, you don't have any ice Pokémon for advantages on the field." James pointed out.

Jessie realized while eating as her eyes widened and started choking on her food a little, before swallowing it. "You're right, James, I never caught an ice Pokémon throughout Kanto. What am I going to do?"

"You have Shellder, right? Try training it up until it evolves into a Cloyster." Domino suggested.

"Azurill!" Azurill claps cheerfully at Domino's suggestion.

Jessie sighs in disappointment. "It's too late for that, Domino, considering the fact I never had a battle with it until my first league battle where it got knocked out in one move."

James tries to cheer up Jessie. "I mean, ice Pokémon is one of the rarest types, so maybe your opponent also doesn't have one too, Jessie."

"Some ice isn't going to stop me. Which means you should pick me for the next battle, Jess!" Meowth looks at his trainer and is too deep in thought that she doesn't hear him and falls in disbelief.

Meanwhile, oblivious to the gang is a female trainer watching them from a distance. She has purple hair and purple eyes, wearing a black straw hat with a red jacket, a black top, and a red skirt. The female trainer is staring directly at Jessie as she walks to the gang and greets them with no expression. "Hello…"

The gang all look at the woman and Jessie greets back to her. "Hello to you too and who you might be?"

The purple-haired woman introduces herself, looking at Jessie. "My name is Roya and I'm your next league opponent on the ice field."

Jessie raises an eyebrow. "How do you know that? They haven't announced the next line of matchups yet." She says while taking a sip of water.

"It's because I'm psychic, Jessie, I know everything…" Roya says, managing to guess Jessie's name right without even telling her.

This causes Jessie to spit out the water that she was drinking in shock. Domino, James, and Meowth were also in shock as well. "Do you even know our names?" Domino asked.

Roya looks at Jessie's friends and guesses their names right. "Domino and James." She then looks at Meowth. "Your Meowth can also talk as well."

"Oh hell no, this girl is scary!" Meowth says, a little scared.

Jessie scoffs as she stands up and stares at Roya while gritting her teeth in frustration. "What are you, Sabrina 2.0? You must've looked up my information on a computer or something because I don't believe you!"

Roya closes her eyes. "Don't believe me if you want, but I will tell you this and that you will lose to me in our battle tonight. So prepare for the end of your time in this league tournament." She turns around and starts walking away.

Jessie scoffs once more and crosses her arms from being in disbelief. "Yeah right, she's just another fake, basically like every single person who thinks they're psychic!"

"Are you sure, Jessie?" James asked. "She didn't feel like a fake psychic to me."

"Yeah! She knew I could talk without me saying anything!" Meowth says.

"She must've been spying and stalking us." Jessie assumed. "What a creep!"

Domino looks at Jessie with a frown. "I don't like this at all…"

Azurill also has a frown on her face. "Azurill…"

The P.A. announcements turn on throughout the Indigo Plateau. "Remaining trainers, please head on to the central building for your next matchup as the next set of tournament battles will be starting soon!"

"That's our cue to leave this restaurant. Let's go!" Jessie sprints out of the restaurant as her friends follow her, but by walking.

It cuts to the central building, filled with the remaining trainers in the Kanto League Tournament. The double doors open as Jessie and the gang arrive. They head over to the ice field matchups as Jessie starts looking for her profile icon. "Let's see here, where am I?…" After a few seconds, Jessie finally spots herself on the screen. "There I am! And my opponent is-" Jessie looked at her opponent and it was Roya like she predicted. "NO WAY!" She yelled out in shock, causing all the trainers to look at her.

"I've told you…" Roya said behind Jessie, causing her to jump and quickly turn around. "I'm psychic and soon your league days are over Jessie, just like how I'm going to predict it…" Roya slowly walks behind her to the exit while staring at Jessie, then she leaves the building.

Domino, James, and Meowth all look at Jessie who is still in jaw-dropping disbelief at Roya's prediction, the three have worried expressions as time cuts to Jessie's league battle on the ice field about to happen with her being in the locker room and feeling afraid and scared. "I-I don't know if I should do this."

"Do what?" A very familiar feminine voice was heard, it was Domino, who sat right beside Jessie.

"I don't know if I should battle," Jessie answered. "That Roya girl predicted our league matchup, I think she might be psychic and I'll lose!"

"AZZZZZURILLLLL!" Azurill starts crying after hearing that Jessie might give up.

Domino tries to calm down her baby blue mouse Pokémon. "Hey it's okay, I'm going to change her mind, it's okay."

Azurill starts calming down after hearing what her mother said. "A-Azurill…"

Domino turns her attention to Jessie. "Are you going to give up like that, Jessie? You're acting like Holly now when she said she's going to give up, you're being a total hypocrite now!"

"I-I know, but she's psychic, Domino! She knew our names, she knew Meowth could talk, and she knew I was going against her on the ice field!" Jessie countered.

"Okay, she might have a strong case, but that doesn't mean you should just give up like that. I want you to go out there and expose her as a fake, just like you said earlier. Prove that psychic girl wrong, beat her! Even Azurill doesn't want you to give up, look at that cute face." Domino holds up Azurill in front of Jessie's face.

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in joy.

Jessie looks at Azurill and proceeds to smile. "What was I thinking? You're right, I won't give up, I'm going to go out there and prove that faker wrong!"

Domino smiles. "That's the spirit, Jessie!"

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in joy.

Jessie and Domino both hear the announcements announcing Jessie. "And representing the red side, from Pallet Town, give it up for Jessie!"

"Looks like that's your cue to get out there. I'll be in the crowd as always, cheering you on! See ya, Jessie!" Domino waves goodbye and so does Azurill.

Jessie waves goodbye back to the two as she leaves the locker room to start her league match. Once Jessie arrives at the red platform over the ice field, the crowd all explodes in cheers as she waves happily at the crowd, before staring down her league opponent Roya on the other side on the green platform.

"I hope you're prepared for obliteration…" Roya says, pulling out a Poké Ball.

"Whatever you say, Roya!" Jessie also pulls out a Poké Ball as well.

The referee pulls out a coin. "Roya will have heads and Jessie will have tails." They flip the coin and catch it. Once looked at, the coin shows the tail of a Pikachu, signaling it is tails. "It is tails, so Roya will be sending the first Pokémon out."

"Venomoth, you're up first!" Roya sends out Venomoth as her first Pokémon for this battle.

Venomoth materializes. "Venomoth!"

"A Venomoth huh? Then I'll start with this Pokémon! Pidgeotto, I choose you!" Jessie sends out Pidgeotto as her first Pokémon.

Pidgeotto materializes. "Pidgeotto!"

"Both smart moves from Jessie and Roya. Both Pokémon can simply fly over the ice to avoid slipping." Domino says.

James nods in response. "Yeah, but Jessie does have the advantage with Pidgeotto's flying type, which is good for her."

"Let's hope she doesn't somehow lose this round," Meowth added.

Roya commands the first move of the round. "Use Psychic attack!"

"Venomoth!" Venomoth's eyes glow light blue and Pidgeotto also becomes outlined in light blue.

"Pidgeotto?!" Pidgeotto cries in confusion.

"Pidgeotto, try to get out of its psychic control over you!" Jessie

It was too late as Venomoth used its psychic powers to slam Pidgeotto down onto the hard ice below, leaving a small crack on the ice field where Pidgeotto was slammed.

"Pidgeotto, no!" Jessie called out.

Pidgeotto slowly gets up from the ice ground and flies back up in the air. "Pidgeotto!"

Jessie sighs in relief. "You're okay! Give Venomoth a taste of its own medicine and use Mirror Move!"

Pidgeotto's eyes begin to glow blue, as Venomoth is now outlined in blue. Pidgeotto does the same thing, using psychic powers to slam the poison moth Pokémon down to the ice, leaving more cracks in the ice field.

"I knew she was going to use that move. Now use Disable!" Roya commanded.

"Venomoth!" The same sequence happens again as Venomoth's eyes glow light blue and Pidgeotto gets surrounded by a blue aura, but it fades away as Pidgeotto cannot use Mirror Move for a while.

Jessie grits her teeth. "Crap! Pidgeotto, use your Agility!"

"Pidgeotto!" Pidgeotto starts disappearing and reappearing all over the battlefield.

Roya scoffs. "I'm psychic, I know the exact location where your Pidgeotto will appear. Venomoth, Sleep Powder!"

Venomoth flies up high in the air, flapping its wings and a light-tan powder comes out, surrounding the entire battlefield that Pidgeotto can't dodge, and falls asleep, descending to the ice field below.

"Oh no, Pidgeotto, wake up!" Jessie called out.

"Now use Leech Life!" Roya commanded.

"Venomoth!" Venomoth flies towards the sleeping Pidgeotto and bites the bird Pokémon. The poisonous moth Pokémon starts draining Pidgeotto's energy and regaining said energy.

"Your Pidgeotto is slowly losing energy every single second passes, you better think fast or it's all over for it," Roya says.

Jessie starts sweating from being nervous. "Pidgeotto, wake up and use Wing Attack before your energy is drained!"

Pidgeotto doesn't wake up and continues sleeping.

Roya crosses her arms. "Venomoth, keep draining Pidgeotto's energy with Leech Life!"

Venomoth continues having a grip on Pidgeotto with its mouth and draining the bird Pokémon's energy. Meanwhile, Meowth, Domino, and James look worried in the crowd. "This is bad, if Pidgeotto doesn't wake up, this could be the end for it," Domino says.

Jessie tries to wake up her Pidgeotto again by yelling. "Pidgeotto, wake up now and use Wing Attack!"

Pidgeotto's eyes shoot open as its wings start glowing white. "Pidgeotto!" The bird Pokémon lets out a battle cry before hitting Venomoth with its wing, completely flinging the poisonous moth Pokémon to its side of the battlefield, and Venomoth faints.

The referee declares the round, raising the red flag. "Venomoth is unable to battle, victory for the red side, Jessie!"

Jessie laughs. "I bet you didn't predict that!"

Roya recalls Venomoth and closes her eyes. "A small price to pay, look." She points at Jessie's Pidgeotto.

Jessie looks at her Pidgeotto and sees her bird Pokémon heavily breathing and too tired to fly. "A lot of Pidgeotto's energy got sucked out by that Venomoth that it's too tired to fly. I gotta switch. Pidgeotto, return!" She recalls Pidgeotto.

Both Roya and Jessie pull out a different Poké Ball. "Jynx, you're next!" "Gengar, I choose you!"

Both Jynx and Gengar materialize on the ice battlefield. "Jynx!" "Gengar!"

Jessie commands the first move of the round. "Shadow Ball!"

"Gengar!" Gengar's hands spark with blue electricity. It then puts its hands together, forms a black ball of energy, and shoots it Jynx.

"Protect!" Roya quickly countered.

"Jynx!" Jynx's body becomes outlined in blue energy and the Shadow Ball gets deflected.

"Night Shade!" Jessie commanded.

Gengar fires a black beam, outlined in red from its mouth right at Jynx.

"Double Team!" Roya counters once more.

Jynx makes illusion copies of itself as the Night Shade hits an illusion, disappearing.

Jessie growls in frustration. "It's like you know how Gengar's going to miss with that risk!"

"You have not been listening to me all this time. I'm psychic as I have been telling you since the beginning." Roya reminded.

"We will see about that! Hypnosis!" Jessie commanded.

"Dodge it with Blizzard!" Roya counters.

Before Gengar could turn its eyes red to use Hypnosis, Jynx fired a blizzard from her mouth right at Gengar, hitting the shadow Pokémon.

"Gengar!" Gengar cries in pain and shields its face from amounts of snow hitting it before getting flung back to its side, hitting the wall.

"Gengar, are you alright?" Jessie says, concerned.

"Gengar…" Gengar slowly gets up and starts breathing slowly from exhaustion.

Jessie starts thinking to herself. "I got to think of something. She's psychic, so the only way of beating her is by being psychic myself! I think she's going to use Protect next to block the attack again." She commands her next move out loud. "Shadow Ball!"

"Gengar!" Gengar's hands once more spark with blue electricity. It then puts its hands together again, forming a black ball of energy, and shoots it right at Jynx.

Roya uses the same move that she did before. "Protect!"

"Jynx!" Jynx's body becomes outlined in blue energy and the Shadow Ball gets deflected again.

Jessie starts thinking to herself once more. "I was right, okay she can't use Protect again, I have a feeling she's going to use Double Team again, but if I can find the right Jynx, Gengar can knock it out." And now she commands her next move. "Now use Shadow Ball again, Gengar!"

Jessie's prediction was right as Roya commanded the move she predicted. "Double Team!"

"Jynx! Jynx!" Jynx makes illusion copies surrounding the entire ice battlefield.

"Alright, got to pick the right Jynx." Jessie thought to herself before looking at each Jynx carefully and stopping at the far left one. "Use a Shadow Ball on that one, Gengar!" She commanded, pointing at the far left Jynx.

"Gengar!" Gengar fires a black ball of energy right at the far left Jynx and ends up being the right Jynx.

"Jynx!" Jynx screams in pain before falling to the ice ground and fainting.

The referee declares the round, raising the red flag. "Jynx is unable to battle, the victor of this round is Jessie, the red team."

Jessie starts chuckling. "For a psychic thinking I'm going to lose, you haven't knocked out one of my Pokémon yet!"

However, Roya looks unfazed from being down three to one as she recalls Jynx back in its Poké Ball. "I don't go on the attack, I strategize."

Jessie looks to see that Gengar is exhausted just like Pidgeotto and becomes worried. "Gengar is worried too, I gotta switch out Gengar too! Gengar, return!" Jessie recalls Gengar back in its Poké Ball.

Both Roya and Jessie pull out different Poké Balls. "You're gonna be surprised with my next Pokémon, Jessie. A Pokémon you haven't seen before but will become important to you in the future. Poké Ball, go!" She tossed the Poké Ball into the air.

Once the Pokémon materialized, it was a green, condor-like Pokémon with long, red-and-black-tipped white wings that covered most of its front.

Jessie was about to pull out her Pokédex until Roya stopped her. "Don't even try to identify it, no data will show up on your little Kanto dex. This Pokémon is my ace Pokémon, a Pokémon that I can rely on and will win every time. Meet… Xatu!"

"Xatu!" Xatu battle cries.

Most of the crowd, including Jessie's friends, gasped in shock once they saw a Pokémon that they hadn't seen.

"Xatu, huh? Well, it looks like a bird Pokémon to me, which makes this my next Pokémon easy and will sweep you! Electabuzz, I choose you!" Jessie sends out Electabuzz next.

Electabuzz materializes. "ELEBUBUBU!"

Jessie starts off the round with the first move. "Use Thunder!"

"ELEBUBUBU!" Electabuzz's two antennas start getting surrounded by powerful electricity before blasting it towards Xatu.

"Dodge it, Xatu!" Roya countered.

"Xatu!" Xatu flies out of the way to dodge the Thunder.

Roya commands her first move. "Now use Fly!"

Xatu flies up so high in the air. Electabuzz looks up in the air, trying to find Xatu, but can't, and scratches its head in confusion. "Electabuzz?"

Jessie also looks up, confused as well. "Where did that Xatu go?"

Roya clutches her fist. "Now!"

"XATU!" Xatu comes flying down at high speeds and crashes down to Electabuzz, as smoke surrounds the area where the electric Pokémon was. Xatu flies to its side of the battlefield as the smoke clears, revealing Electabuzz has fainted.

The referee holds up the green flag. "Electabuzz is unable to battle, victory to the green team, Roya!"

The crowd, Jessie, and her friends were all in shock from what they just experienced. "No way… Electabuzz got taken down by a move that should've just tickled them." Jessie says in disbelief, she recalls Electabuzz back in its Poké Ball.

"This is bad… with Electabuzz down, the rest of Jessie's Pokémon are exhausted from their previous battles." Domino pointed out.

"I can't watch!" James closes his eyes, before slightly opening them to see.

Meowth facepalms. "Don't tell me she's gonna pull an Isaac and blow a three down one lead!"

Jessie sends out her Gengar once more. "Gengar, I need you again!"

Gengar materializes. "Gengar!"

"Gengar, use Hypnosis and put that Xatu to sleep!" Jessie commanded.

Gengar's eyes start glowing red, ready to put the Xatu to sleep.

"Oh no you don't! Xatu, dodge it by using Fly!" Roya commanded.

Xatu quickly flies up in the air once more to avoid looking Gengar in the eyes.

"I hope you know that Gengar can float! Gengar, fly in the air where Xatu is and use Shadow Ball!" Jessie commanded next.

"Gengar!" Gengar floats up in the air where Xatu is and fires a black ball of energy right at the Pokémon, hitting Xatu.

"Xatu!" Xatu cries in pain and starts slowly descending to the ground.

Roya grits her teeth. "Xatu, don't hit the ground and do it!"

Xatu immediately focuses back and avoids hitting the ice ground before flying back into the air with fast speed and completely hitting Gengar hard.

"Gengar!" Gengar cries out in pain before descending, hitting the ice ground, and fainting.

"GENGAR, NO!" Jessie exclaimed.

The referee holds up the green flag to declare the round. "Gengar is unable to battle, victory to the green corner!"

"Gengar, return!" Jessie recalls Gengar back in its Poké Ball and pulls out the one containing her last Pokémon. "It's all up to you! Pidgeotto, I choose you!" She sends Pidgeotto out.

Pidgeotto materializes, still exhausted from flying. "Pidgeotto!"

"Your Pidgeotto is still too exhausted to fly. It all ends here." Roya assumed. "Xatu, use Fly once more."

"Xatu!" Xatu flies up in the air as Pidgeotto is just staring up directly at the sky.

Jessie sees Pidgeotto standing below the cracked ice from receiving the blows from Gengar and Pidgeotto. She gets an idea and starts thinking inside her head. "Okay, this might work, but if this move hits, it might be all over for Pidgeotto and my time in the league tournament." Jessie proceeds to stay silent and not say anything out loud.

"You're not saying anything, Jessie?" Roya questioned. "I guess you must've accepted your fate. Xatu, destroy Pidgeotto with Fly!"

"Xatu!" Xatu starts flying towards Pidgeotto with extreme speed.

Jessie sees Xatu getting closer and closer to Pidgeotto and then she smirks at Roya. "If you were a real psychic, you would have seen this coming! Pidgeotto, use the ice to slide out of the way!"

"Pidgeotto!" Pidgeotto uses the ice to its advantage and barely avoids the move by sliding out of the way just in time, causing Xatu to hit and break the cracked ice, accidentally diving into the cold water, and leaving a hole.

"WHAT?! XATU!" Roya called out.

Xatu pops back up to the surface of the hole, but it is now frozen in a big ice cube.

Jessie clutches her fist. "Wing Attack, let's go!"

"Pidgeotto!" Pidgeotto wings start glowing white and slide over to the frozen Xatu, hitting the Pokémon with its wing.

The Wing Attack breaks the giant ice cube that was freezing Xatu as the Pokémon looks tired. "Xatu…"

"Now Wing Attack it again, Pidgeotto!" Jessie commanded once more.

Roya shows some worriedness and tries to counter. "Dodge it, Xatu!"

Xatu tries to fly away but is too exhausted to do so and gets caught in the Wing Attack by Pidgeotto. "Xatu!" The Pokémon cries in pain, getting sent back to its side and then fainting from the battle.

The referee declares the round by holding up the red flag. "Xatu is unable to battle, which means the winner of this league battle is Jessie from the red corner!"

The crowd erupted in loud cheers especially from Domino, James, and Meowth as Jessie ran up to hug her Pidgeotto in delight. "You did awesome, Pidgeotto, you looked out for me!"

"Pidgeotto!" Pidgeotto cries out in delight!

Roya recalls Xatu back in its Pokémon, looking at Jessie hugging Pidgeotto. "This can't be, my future made a prediction of me winning, unless… a major threat is upon us and her winning has to become a reality for the world to be saved..." Roya turns around and starts walking out with a smile on her face. "Rest easy, hero, you're going to need it!"

The scene time cuts to Jessie and her friends exiting the Pokémon Center after the battle. It's night and Jessie's Pokémon are all healed up. "You did Jessie, you're in the top sixteen now! How do you feel?" Domino asked.

Jessie pumps her fist in the air in excitement. "I feel so great! I never thought I would make it this far, but here I am!"

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in joy.

James chuckles. "Don't let that excitement get in your head now. The battles are going to get tougher and tougher from here."

"James is right, which means you're going to end up using me in your battles now?" Meowth says with a smirk.

Jessie chuckles. "I think it's time to do so, yeah!"

Meowth jumps up in the air in excitement. "Yes! Yes! Yes! About time!"

The P.A. announcements turn on once more throughout the Indigo Plateau. "Top sixteen trainers, before you head to bed tonight, please take a look at tomorrow's matchups! Thank you!"

It cuts to the central building with the double doors opening, Jessie and her friends arrive to see a bunch of less trainers here. "Ahh, it's less crowded and much nicer here now that a bunch of trainers have been eliminated!" Domino says with a smile.

"Hey, you all!" Two familiar feminine voices were heard, it was Annie and Oakley walking towards them.

Jessie waved hello at the sisters. "Annie and Oakley, you two made it to the top sixteen too!"

However, a bunch of familiar faces to the gang also start to pop up. "Don't forget about me!" Leaf said. "And me too!" Zayne added. "Also me as well, I made it to the top sixteen too!" Samantha also added.

Jessie waves at everyone as the whole group that knows Jessie and her friends are together for the first time in the central building. "Wow! I expected at least one of you to get eliminated early!" She chuckles.

Leaf scoffs. "You're just lucky that you didn't get me early, mama's girl!"

Before Jessie could reply, the top sixteen matchups all flashed up on the screen, completely taking over Jessie's attention. "The top sixteen matchups!"

The group and the rest of the trainers all look at the screen of the top sixteen matchups. Jessie sees that she's facing Zayne in the top sixteen. "Zayne… I'm facing you." She says, looking over at him.

Zayne chuckles in response, rubbing the back of his head. "Well, may the better trainer win! I can't wait to see how well you improved from our last battle!"

Leaf gasped at her top-sixteen matchup. "No way, it can't be!" It seems like Leaf is familiar with her matchup from Leaf saying his name. "Nikolaus…"

A purple-haired trainer by the name of Nikolaus familiar to Leaf appears behind her. "Well hello, Leaf! Long time no see, huh?"

Leaf's eyes widened in shock, turning around slowly. "H-hey Nikolaus…"

The scene pans over to Annie and Oakley, trying to find their matchups. "I don't see mine, do you see yours?" Oakley asked while groaning. "Nope," Annie replied. Soon the sisters were about to find their profile on the screen at the same time. "There I am!" Both of the sisters said with a smile, but their smiles soon slowly faded away once finding out who the sisters were facing in the top sixteen and it was each other.

Jessie and her friends' eyes all widened in shock after they found out for themselves. "Uh oh…" Jessie says with a gulp.
