Bonding in the Shadows

Peter woke up abruptly, sitting up on his bed as the moonlight streamed through his window.

His temples throbbed slightly, and he instinctively rubbed them while glancing at the clock on his bedside table. It was 2 a.m. He had slept for more than four hours and felt refreshed, but the urgency of his situation weighed heavily on his mind.

The 12-hour countdown was ticking, and while he had originally planned to bond with Gwen tomorrow morning and explain everything before bonding with her, anxiety gnawed at him. His symbiote instincts to survive were pushing him to act sooner.

"Better to bond first and deal with the explanations later," he thought, steeling his resolve.

"Survival came first.", He stood up and walked to the window of his room. Peering out into the quiet street below, he scanned the area. The night was silent, and no one was around. His gaze shifted to the house next door—Gwen's home.

Taking a deep breath, Peter allowed his body to transform into his symbiote form.

The black, gooey substance enveloped him, forming tendrils and a sleek form reminiscent of Venom.

He extended a tentacle to the rooftop of Gwen's house, launching himself gracefully across the gap. Landing silently on her roof, he crept toward the side of her room, clinging to the wall like a shadow.

Reaching her window, he noticed it was closed, but it posed no obstacle.

He began to slide through the tiny gaps with ease and entered Gwen's room. He paused, marveling at the fluidity of his movements. "This is so freaking cool," he thought with a hint of excitement.

His gaze fell on Gwen's bed, where she lay peacefully asleep, her features illuminated softly by the moonlight. Peter found himself momentarily entranced by her serene beauty but quickly shook off the thought.

"Focus, Mark... No... Peter," he muttered mentally.

Using a tendril, he climbed onto her bed, looming over her like a silent protector. His face, now a Venom-like visage, hovered just a few inches from hers.

"Here goes nothing," he thought, steeling himself.

With deliberate precision, Peter allowed his symbiote form to flow into Gwen, enveloping her completely. Her clothes shifted into a sleek black design as the bonding process began.

Inside his mind, Great Sage's voice rang out:

>"Initiating bonding of a symbiote... Successful."

>"Bonded with Gwen Stacy... Analyzing host body."

>"Analysis complete. New skills obtained."

---

Powers Obtained from Gwen Stacy

1. Wall-Crawling: Ability to stick to and climb walls effortlessly.

2. Enhanced Strength: Superhuman strength enabling great physical feats.

3. Enhanced Agility: Incredible balance, speed, reflexes, and acrobatic skills.

4. Spider Sense: Sixth sense to detect nearby danger.

---

After the bonding process concluded, Gwen's clothes returned to their normal appearance. Peter, now residing within her, sighed in relief. "Everything went smoothly," he thought, thankful for the success.

Reviewing the newly obtained abilities, Peter noticed one that he can feel but Great Sage didn't mention it: Biological Manipulation. Curious, he asked Great Sage for clarification.

"The symbiotic bond allows you to manipulate the host's biology. You can enhance or alter their physical traits and abilities, as well as adjust your own form."

Peter realized he could help unlock latent powers within Gwen and began experimenting.

With Great Sage's guidance, he managed to awaken her dormant abilities.

--

1. Organic Webbing(Unlocked ): Ability to produce and shoot webs directly from her body.

2. Camouflage (Unlocked ): Can blend seamlessly into surroundings for stealth.

--

This will further increase their power and chances of survival.

Additionally, he discovered that he could create an avatar of himself using Gwen's abilities while remaining bonded to her. This "separate body" would allow him to act independently if needed.

Satisfied with his progress, Peter withdrew from Gwen's body, returning to his human form. He sat beside her bed, watching over her as she stirred.

Her eyes fluttered open slowly, her voice soft and drowsy. "Peter…?"

He smiled warmly, leaning in to place a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Thank you, Gwen," he whispered.

Without saying another word, Peter returned inside her, letting her drift back to sleep. Gwen, still tired from her nightly heroics, mumbled something incoherent before succumbing to slumber once more.

For now, Peter could rest easy, knowing he had taken the first step toward survival—and building something extraordinary with Gwen.

.....

**Next day**

The morning sunlight streamed through the window as Gwen woke up feeling more refreshed than ever.

She stretched with a wide smile, her body buzzing with an unexplainable energy. Something felt different.

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Gwen got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she noticed subtle changes.

Her senses seemed sharper and she felt stronger than ever. Confusion flickered across her face as she flexed her fingers, trying to understand what had changed.

"Maybe I'm just imagining things," she muttered, deciding to focus on her plans for the day instead. After all, she was meeting Peter soon, and she didn't want to be late.

Gwen quickly freshened up, unaware that Peter, now bonded with her, could see and feel everything.

---

Inside Gwen's body, Peter observed her every movement, testing and refining their connection. Since bonding the previous night, he had been busy analyzing their shared abilities and unlocking her hidden potential.

>"Host's physical enhancements have been optimized,"

>"Bonding process has been stabilized. Detected innate ability of a symbiote 'Bonding'.

You can now evolve its connection to further enhance the host's abilities. Approximate time for skill analysis: 3 days."

Peter grinned at the progress. He had already begun to enhance Gwen's strength and reflexes, unlocking more of her latent powers.

Through their bond, he could feel her emotions, including her deep-seated guilt over Uncle Ben's death and her unspoken feelings for him.

"Don't worry, Gwen," Peter thought. "I'll help you bear that burden. You won't have to face it alone."

Peter's feelings for her were growing stronger. It wasn't just the remnants of Peter Parker's emotions influencing him—Mark himself had admired and liked Gwen even in his previous life and that only increased the moment he saw her memories. Their combined affection solidified his resolve to protect and support her.

---

Back in the bathroom, Gwen was now hurriedly getting dressed. For some reason, it was taking her longer than usual.

Inside her body, Peter chuckled. "Now I understand why girls take so long to get ready."

Finally, Gwen emerged, looking radiant as she made her way to the kitchen. Her mother, Helen, was sipping coffee at the table.

"Good morning, honey. You're up early for a weekend," Helen remarked with a smile.

"Good morning Mom. I'm meeting Peter," Gwen said, grabbing a piece of toast.

Helen's smile widened. "Oh, Peter? It's been a while since you two spent time together. He's such a sweet boy." he had a knowing smile on her face.

Gwen blushed slightly. "Mom!"

After a quick breakfast, Gwen headed out, her heart racing slightly as she approached Peter's house.

.

.

.

Now standing in front of the door, Gwen hesitated for a moment before reaching out to ring the bell.

Before she could, the door swung open, revealing Peter with a warm smile.

"Hey," Gwen said, surprised.

"Hey," Peter replied as he looked at her before stepping aside. "Come on in."

She walked into the familiar home, noting how quiet it was. Peter closed the door behind her, leading her to the living room.

They sat side by side on the sofa with an air of anticipation between them. Gwen glanced at him, noticing something different about him but can't tell what it is.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Gwen asked breaking the silence.

Peter hesitated for a moment, choosing his words carefully. He had a lot to explain—but first, he needed to make her understand that things were about to change, for both of them.
