Vol. 05 Ch. 47 – Training at Mary Geoise! Part 1/3

As long as the ART pirate members stayed at Mary Geoise, apart from Hancock, Robin, and Monet, they didn't forget their training. Maria insists on forbidding Arthur's three wives from training and Arthur smiles see the four special women in his life argued with each other. And Arthur teased three of them a little because his three wives underestimated his mother.

Monet: "Mother, please allow us to train our bodies. We feel like our bodies are stiff and rusty if we don't practice at all while staying here. " Monet was the first to protest against Maria.

Maria: "You can practice, apart from training your body, of course." Maria is still adamant in her stance.

Robin: "I beg you too." Robin realized that if they didn't keep getting stronger then they could become Arthur's burden.

Hancock: "Besides, do we also need to ask permission for this." Hancock tilted her head feeling conscious of something big.

Maria: "As long as I am here, you must follow my rules. You can practice other things. If you guys force me, I can let you follow by the hard way. "

So, only the younger generation of ART pirates seems to be actively training. Law continued to practice sword techniques against Kuina because apart from the two of them only Arthur used swords to fight. And they don't get much from fighting Arthur because the gap is too far. The two of them practiced and honed their sword techniques with frequent sparring.

Kuina: "Law, this time don't use your devil fruit power again!" Kuina shouted before the two of them started sparring.

Law: "You said that I have to use all my abilities when fighting with you." Law rolls his eyes and is tired of this argument although he also gets ready with his Nodachi.

Kuina: "Of course, because if you hold back your attacks and don't use all your power then I will feel insulted." Kuina got ready with Dojigiri beside her waist and stood a few meters in front of Law.

Law: "So you want me to use all my power or not?" This time Law felt really confused about the girl in front of him.

Kuina: "Don't use it at the start of the fight, if you feel pressed then use it." After a while of thinking, Kuina finally gave a definite answer.

Law: "Alright, I'm ready."

Law: "[Room], [Shambels] ... [Injection Shot] ..." After dodging Kuina's attack by moving around, Law used a combination of his sword, [Shigan], and devil fruit techniques.

Kuina: "What did I say about the devil fruit earlier… [Kami-e]" Even though Kuina was complaining, she managed to avoid Law's attack and continued their battle.

Law: "[Radio Knife] ... sorry, I couldn't hold back my power." Law's sword emitted several electric sparks that would surely make Kuina's hands tingle if she parried Law's sword with hers.

Although Law still hasn't succeeded in defeating Kuina in using pure sword techniques, with his devil fruit, Law has always been superior to Kuina. Their battle continued until in one strike, Kuina unconsciously managed to use Busoshoku Haki into her sword even if only for a moment.

Law: "Kuina, did you just successfully use Busoshoku Haki on your sword?" Law, who did not miss the scene, immediately asked Kuina.

Kuina: "Really? I didn't realize it because I was just thinking of being able to beat up that arrogant head of yours and your demon fruit too. " Kuina's answer made Law think that if he was weaker than Kuina then he must always be battered.

Law: "I feel sorry for your opponent so far, surely his head was injured to the point of leaving side effects." And without Law realizing it, in the middle of the forest on one of the East Blue islands, there was a small green-haired boy who got lost and sneezed.

Zoro: "... Am I sick? But where is this? I feel that I visit this place often so the Dojo must be close again. " Little Zoro continued to walk with great confidence even though it ended up taking a little longer to get to Ishiin Dojo.

Law and Kuina are capable of using Busoshoku Haki and Kenbunshoku Haki but they need high concentration and can't use them actively in battle yet. And their training continued until Arthur decided to return to sailing.

In another training room, Bepo also practiced sparring against Koalas. Bepo with his kung fu and [Electro] against Koala with his Gyojin Karate and hybrid form Zoan devil fruit. They also don't forget to use Rokushiki and Haki in their battle. Among the younger generation of ART pirates, Bepo is the most adept at using Busoshoku Haki even though he is often careless.

Koala: "Bepo! Don't hesitate in attacking. The only thing you need to think about in battle is to hit your opponent hard." Koala who felt hesitant in every attack by Bepo finally gave her advice.

Bepo: "Aye." Bepo's fist began to turn black with electric sparks visible around it.

Koala: "Good, [Tekkai] ... [Gyojin Karate: 1000 Brick Fist]" Koala immediately changed to his hybrid Zoan form after seeing Bepo start to earnest.

While Bepo was most proficient at using Busoshoku Haki, Koala was able to use [Tekkai] freely. [Tekkai], this Rokushiki defense technique uses the principle of a standstill and firm so making it difficult to use for attacks move in battle. So even though Koala is not yet able to use Busoshoku Haki, but she is not far behind Bepo because of her Zoan devil fruit. And their battles often end in a draw.
