THE CALL

Lexi looked at her phone and blinked twice after taking a deep breath. She then reached it and glanced back to Kayden who was just watching her every move. She smiled at him again and raised her hand with phone.

"Can I have a little privacy?" She politely asked. Because she couldn't get up to get out of the room, she just asked the man to give her privacy.

Kayden immediately turned away after nodding his head. He left her with the child sleeping next to her to have a private chat with someone who are now calling her.

"Dad.." She used her normal and sad voice as she answered the call.

Lexi Paredez Garcia. The hidden child of the Garcia family who lives in England for sixteen years all by herself with a little bit help of her on call nanny. She couldn't used the surname Garcia so far due to her family's rules. She only using the surname of her late mother who died after giving birth to her.

"Where are you?! The driver went home alone because he said he couldn't find you!" The angry voice of her father reached her hearing.

George Garcia, the father of her who threw her in England when she was 7-years old after confirming her identity as his real daughter. She was introduced to him by her Auntie who raised her until she turns 7. The wife of her real father couldn't accept her so she asked her husband to sent his daughter to England.

"I got an accident, that's why he didn't find me. But if he just arrived on time or before my arrival, he would have.."

"Got an accident?! You were at the airport you said you got an accident?! Are you trying to use an excuse to hides where you at right now?!" Lexi close her eyes tightly as she heard those words from his own father. How many years has it been? 16-years? 16-years that she never felt his love and concern as a father.

"I'm at Quezon City Hospital. You can come here if you don't believe me." She said bitterly. She already used to to this kind of treatment. She just hope for the miracle that someday, somehow, her father finally recognized her as his own daughter with his own blood. The man on the other line suddenly became quiet and didn't speak for a while.

"When will you get out from there?" He asked after a while. His voice lowered a little, and his tone changed too.

Lexi thinks for a while before answering his question. It's already been 16-years, is there really no other way to make her father accept her as his daughter? She let out a very sad sigh and close her eyes again before answering him.

"Maybe tomorrow. Should I just go there with my own?" She asked directly. Her father doesn't want the public knows her existence. Why? Because he is scared to be the topic of the public especially now that he is one of the successful businessman in the country. Although lately, she heard his wife complaining about their business problems. She wanted to help but she was afraid that they'll just misunderstood her so she didn't offer her help.

"You knew already that our family cant..."

"Yeah, I already know. You don't need to repeat it again." She said. "If there's nothing more, may I end this call now? I also wanted to rest somehow." She asked politely but she actually just wanted to end the call to avoid listening to his hurtful words again.

"Yeah. Go ahead." Lexi heard her father's answer, so she ended the call and quietly returned her phone to the bedside table. She took a deep breath ang looked at close door. She then decided to stand up to go to the comfort room to change her clothes.

When she got out of the comfort room with changed clothes, she opened her luggage and find something in it. Lexi smiled when she saw the gold unisex bracelet that she bought before going back to the Philippines. She removed it from its jewelry box and close her luggage again. She beautifully smiled when she looked at Justin who still sleeping. She then slowly wear the bracelet to his cute hand. Luckily she has thin wrist, the bracelet size is according to her wrist so it fits to Justin wrist.

"Your trying to let him think that you're going to leave him." She was shocked when she heard Kayden's voice who were just entered the room again. She looked at him smiling as she gently raised the hand of his son.

" it's look perfectly with him, right?" She happily asked the man who is now approaching them. Kayden stared at his son's hand and raised his brows as he nodded.

"Yep! Looks great indeed." He agreed to her even he never allowed anyone put any jewelries to his son's body. "You bought it?" He asked her.

"Yeah.. I bought it from Manchester. I actually have three of them do you want one too?" Lexi excitedly and innocently asked the man who were observing her facial expressions again.

"Why did you buy three of them?" He asked.

"Well, I was planning to give it to my family but they said they didn't like it so I don't know who should I give it now." Lexi truthfully answered. Yes, she showed it her parents via mms but they said they didn't like it so it better to give it this two.

"Then, how about the one left?" Kayden put out his hand from his pocket and played the hand of his son instead.

"Then, I'll wear it." Lexi answered innocently.

Kayden seriously looked at the woman and secretly sigh.. This girl is so innocent. How does she able to live comfortably with this kind of attitude? Everyone might take advantage of her if she didn't change.

"Alright, I'll wear it then." Kayden answered.

Lexi excitedly got down on the bed and open her luggage again, she get the jewelry box and get the two bracelets and wear the other one to Kayden without any hint of intentions on her face. Kayden also get the other one left and wear to Lexi's wrist and saw her smile happily as she picked up her phone and pulled Kayden's hand to put it near Justin's hand. She took a photo of their hands with the same bracelets and made it as her phone wallpaper.

"Send it to me, I'll used it too as my wallpaper." Kayden said after watching her setting her phone's wallpaper.
