Safe spot

"Hmm this is bad " Haider frowned as he saw most of his parrots dead. Only Two survived out of twenty and they were the only two Haider hand tamed himself .

"CHEEEEW" one of them screamed as Haider opened the cage to grab them.

" Hmm this is unusual, I think the virus made them more ferocious " He said

as he saw the docile cute parrots open their beaks to attack him.

The two that remained alive were very interesting as the two of them were the ones which grew the most in the past week and now they killed the remaining parrots. One was a foam Cocktail that changed the color its dotted feathers from yellow to blue and red . The other was a Baby flower back budgie that grew many smaller flowers on its back and the two already existing flowers turned really hard and now had blackish color to them.

"Maybe they're hungry" Haider thought as he watched their feeding bowls empty , He filled them and returned to the main hall inside the house where everyone was sitting silently and relaxing from the tiring day.

5 pm evening 5 April : inside the main hall:

"What should we do next " Jessica asked Mark ,

" I don't know it's Chaos outside "Mark replied with a frown

"How about you Bella and Monica?" Jessica asked

"I'll stay with Haider " Bella replied

"I think I don't have anywhere to go as my parents are out of town" Monica said with a sad face .

"So guys you done ? " Haider said as he entered from the front door ,

"Yeah " Mark replied ,

"Today we dont have anything to do much so why not take a shower everyone " Haider said as he looked at everyone's dirty especially Jessica who's makeup had been ruined and one couldn't help but say if she looked more like a zombie than a human ,

" I guess we're dirty " Monica replied

"All of you can take the shower in the washroom inside my parents room and my room while me and Mark take one outside after we are done with some work " Haider said as he dragged Mark out of the main building .

"No peeking okay ?" Bella said as she knew how Haider was like .

"Okay got it" Haider replied . He and Mark got out and started to walk towards the front parking space and got to the upper floor through the stairs present there.

"There was a way from the inside your not thinking of peeking right?" Mark asked with a frown .

"No way man we are going from this way cause I locked the door from those stairs "

As they unlocked the door and got into the second story Haider walked towards a large empty space which looked like it was suppose to be a dining hall but now empty as marked entered, His mouth dropped in shock .

"What the hell is this?"

Mark shouted in amazement as what he saw in front of him were a room full of weapons and equipment such as sniper rifles , AK , boxes full of bullets,guns ,even a rocket launcher, crossbows machetes broad swords katanas and submachine guns.

"Just some equipment I've been preparing the last whole week " Haider replied with a happy satisfied look .

"Where did u get all of these aren't these illegal? " Mark asked while glancing towards each and every corner of the room.

" Umm i guess it is,but who cares now . Just off the Dark web i bought these "

Mark didn't ask further and walked towards the weapons and started to look at them with amazement . Haider walked towards a bag and opened it and took a silencer and a pistol from it and started to attach the silencer on the pistol then took a matchet and turned around and went up stairs after locking the doors with Mark .

They went to the roof where there was only one room and solar panels for electricity . Then Haider went to the corner and took out his binoculars and then saw the scene on the road. There were zombies roaming all over the road and abandoned cars were scattered all over the road. There were frequent sounds of gunshots at the barrier of the military area about a kilometer further towards the main Market entrance that had four markets and houses on all four road connected to it . Haider also saw few red ones roaming around the streets. It looked like the military was fighting the zombies up till now.

"Let's go downstairs and wash up " Haider said to Mark ,

"Okay " Mark said while looking at the scene on the road ,

They went down as they washed and changed into the clothes Haider had which were also a fit for Mark as Haider liked to wear loose clothes.

7 pm sunset 5 April: Inside the main hall:

Everyone was had a serious and sad expression on their faces. Haider ended the silent by saying ,

" We have food, water and electricity here before the food runs out we will gather more from Gelani mart that is nearest from here ,Anyone has anything to say ?"

" What about our parents ?" Jessica asked

"Well that is a serious decision for us as we have limited time to save the ones that are alive like maximum a week and don't get your hopes high as they could be dead "

Haider said with a serious expression to which everyone got filled with anxiety and worry about their parents and loved ones .

"But we will try our best together to survive and rescue " Haider said which filled everyone's heart with hope.

"My parents are not home as well as Mark's and Monica's and they are not anywhere near our reach so Bella and Jessica are the ones left and first thing in the morning we will try to find out if anyone is alive in the neighborhood "

Haider said as Mark told Monica's situation to Haider and Haider knew that most people have gone for outing as it was only the 2 day of the lockdown ending so nobody would be at the neighborhood at least alive .

"Well now we're done with that ,Anyone knows how to cook ?"

"I do "

Said Monica as she stood up and walked towards the kitchen . Jessica followed her with Bella as they didn't wanted to become free baggage to anyone . Haider told them that they should sleep early as they have to get up early tommorow.

"Have you locked down the back door ?" Haider asked Mark

"Yeah and the walls are short at the back side someone should keep a watch there, by the way how were you so well prepared " Mark said

"I read a lot of novels i guess" Haider replied while smirking

* Bam *

A loud sound from the back door startled everyone ,

"Let's go " Haider said as he grabbed his gun and a matchet het left at the dining table inside the hall .

He ran towards the door out of the main building and peeked at the trees at the backyard there were alot of trees there ,Haider saw a large white cat at least the size double of a normal cat. By the looks of it It looked like a Persian long fur cat . it was sitting beside a tree licking its legs that had blood on them.

"Mark why not tame it " Haider said as he approached the cat, he said this cause he wanted to show this to Bella who had a fear for cats.

As he got closer he noticed that it was injured and didn't had the ability to fight ,he recognised this cat it was the same one that he fed when. It was wandering their backyard it was their neighbours cat.

"Shhh* Pearl here !" Haider said as he got closer to her .

"Meeeeoowww'

The cat looked at Haider an then loosed her guard when she remembered who he was, Haider went towards the cat and looked at its wound it was not deep and was just a little blood He picked up the little cat and then went towards the water tap near the back door and washed the wound then got inside as he was lifting the 25 kg large cat .

"Grrrrrrrr"

Pearl growled to Mark ,she opened her claws which were at least 4 inches long and extremely sharp. She did this cause didn't knew her

"Well thats new " Haider said in amusement ,He knew that Pearl was not aggressive to unknown people.

8 pm night 5 April: Haiders house:

"Dinners ready ,aaaaahhhhhhhh! " Bella screamed as she saw the Pearl sitting on Haiders lap .

"I got you gift babe" Haider said with a laugh .

Bella ran back towards the kitchen and shouted

"Get that thing away from me "

"Okay okay, just prepare some meat for her .

Now Pearl sit here and don't wander around I'll get you something to eat "

Haider said as he placed the cat onto the bed inside his room and walked towards the kitchen .

9 pm night 5 April : Haider house :

They ate dinner and gave meat to Pearl which she hungrly ate then everyone just sat in the hall on the sofas .

"So you guys want something or you ain't sleepy after all that " Haider said while yawning ,

" We're afraid to sleep alone "Jessica said with a sad face everybody nodded in agreement. It was too much for them to consume easily.

"Okay everyone can sleep in the hall on the sofas I'll just place a double bed mattress for my self I'll get u some blankets on while i do that "

Everyone nodded and Bella helped Haider bring the blankets.

12 am midnight : Haiders home :

"What are you doing Haider ?"
