Military settlement

7_30 sunset :MainMarket inside the canttarea:

"Should we help them ?" Bella asked Haider as they saw a horde of zombies overwhelming an army convoy consistent of 4 vehicles. There were six red ones and two slashers inside the horde .

"Kaaaacooo"

The now awakened cockatoo made a shriek from Haiders right shoulder. It had now transformed to the length of two eagles and wing span of at least a meter. With it's crown emitting a bluish hue and whole body covered in green markings which made it looked like a creature from mythylogies . Its long claws had a blackish color to them and could easily tear steel. Haider named it Emerald

"Emerald says we're going so we're going and they are not constantly firing so it means that they are low on ammunition "

Haider said and signaled Mark to drive the car towards them and to release Pearl outside the vehicle .

*BAM*

They went on with full thrust and slammed into the horde of at least a hundred zombies. Flame and Emerald flew off towards the big reds Flame threw fire balls towards them where as Emerald dissipated their heads with his claws, his while body started to burn burn with blue and green flames while he was fighting.

Haider started to use his hidden flame thrower which he attached to the gas cylinder and started to burn the nearest zombies to the car. Pearl jumped towards the Slasher and started to encounter him.

Whereas everyone else started to fire their guns to distract the zombies towards them.

"Hey Guys move with full force its gonna get dangerous if we stay here any longer "

Haider said as he saw the numbers of zombies thinning there and more of them arriving from the back .

The military vehicles started to move ahead and they all left the zombies behind.

They stopped at a certain checkpoint, where others military vehicles also arrived after some time.

An old man stepped out of the convoy and checked the situation of the convoy attacked and then approached Haider while he was stuffing the heads of the mutated ones which Pearl, Flame and Emerald brought back, inside the trunk of his car, He didn't had the time to collect the crystal now.

"Young man what's your name?" The old man asked with a serious tone.

Haider turned around an told his name in a cold manner then went back to check Pearl and Flame.

After the military senior got ignored by a youngster he raised his eyebrows and looked at him with a rather amazement as many people couldn't even properly speak to him due to the aura surrounding him but he had the guts to ignore him.

" I see you're busy, My name is General Thomson and I'm indebt to you for saving my my entire convoy" The old man said with a low tone, It was very shamefull for them to be protected by the people they needed to protect.

*KAAAWWWW*

Emerald started to approach Haider from the sky with blue and green flames covering his body.

The soldier's that came with the General raised their guns to tackle the coming bird. but were stopped by the soldiers who were saved by the bird .

Emerald landed with Two limbs of a big red he hunted and started to eat them, Flame also joined him after a while.

"Hmm it's a nice bird you have there " The General commented with admiration towards Emerald. Haider ignored his comment .

"It's dark Haider we can't go back now" Mark said,

"So where is the settlement ?" Haider asked as he faced towards the General

"Its about five kilometres from here " General replied,

"We need some ammunition and guns if you guys don't mind consider it as fees for the rescue " Haider said in a cunning tone

"I can provide you with some back at the base " Genral answered ,

"Okay we will follow your lead Genral" Haider said ,

*MEEEEOOWWW*

Pearl went towards Haider

"How many do you have ?" General said in a

shocked tone , while glancing towards Pearl.

Haider didn't answered and then ordered everyone to get ready to move as he saw the military convoy ready to leave.

9 Pm night: Infront of the military base:

They reached towards their destination it was type of temporary base in a single Market road ,each building was used for a specific purpose and two walls were built on each side of the road to block the zombies while soldiers were standing on top of the buildings patrolling .

There were many soldiers and refugees inside. As they entered Haider noticed that the soldiers payed respect towards the general ,it looked like the General had a strong standing in the base.

Their vehicles were escorted to a one story house that seemed to have the purpose to be used by special guests.

Everyone went to rest as Haider declined the food offered by the soldiers to them as he thought that they had plenty and didn't needed to be greedy.

Haider went to the generals office with Flame he left Pearl and Emerald incharge for the protection of the group.

"So General how the situation of the base" Haider said in a relaxed manner,

"Kid it's none of your buisness " a person with a captains badge shouted at him.

Flame seeing the offencive behaviour bursted into rage and fire covered his entire body.

"No boy he's just confused" Haider said as he patted Flame,

"Genral I have this list of weapons to be provided if possible" Haider said as he handed over a list towards the General.

"It will be granted but can we have any of yours beast for us we're currently lacking manpower to encounter the ones you call mutated " Genral replied as he placed to list in the hands of the Captain.

"I can't provide you with the. there like my family. But I'll help you if you want"Haider replied back

Then they talked an hour or two as Haider explained the things he observed so far about the mutated and their weaknesses . He also told the general about the use of the stones inside the mutated heads .

"Well kid the information you gave is more valuable indeed , I'm amazed that you don't want anything in return except for weapons " The General said.

"Well I need some people I guess, can you grant me some craft's men and workers " Haider said as he rubbed his head ,

"I can but I need your support kid here inside this base by the way how did you easily trusted me to tell me about so much" The General replied with another question,

" Well Flame didn't respond in a offencive manner towards you so I considered you are trustworthy and as for your offer I decline, I can't be here cause I'm not a soldier as well as I got many other things to do but I have another idea for future coperation"

Haider replied ,

He further explained the location of his base and about the plan that they could make another base there and he will help them if they found anything difficult there. Then at the end of the chat the general agreed to send a platoon there in two days with the guns He wanted and the workers to make another base for the military outside of the barriers. He gave him a satellite radio phone for further communication.

Haider went outside and was just gonna leave when a girl crashed into him while running inside. Haider didn't gave attention towards her and continued to walk outside while the girl stood there looking at him leaving with a smile on her face.

12 o clock

"How did it go "

Bella asked as Haider entered the living room of the house, Mark and Monica was also sitting there with her with Silver and her new friend which Bella named Ivy played one the table in the middle.

"It went well we're gonna leave towards Jessica's house tommorow, but I'm tired" Haider replied as he layed his head on top of Bella's lap.

"Didn't he pushed to keep one of the birds" Mark asked in a curious tone,

"Naa, he's a kind man i think from what I saw and also there was no inequality inside the base " Haider replied with him face buried into Bella's lap.

They slept all night as it was a tiring day.

6 am Dawn :Inside the military base :

"Let's go people hurry up after the daily exercise we're leaving after breakfast" Haider shouted all over the house ,

Then he went to feed the birds after he fed ivy and Silver with a stone and layed them beside the sleeping Emerald. As he opened his bag to see the egg. He was shocked to see that over half a dozen of stones were inside the bag were now nowhere to be seen and there was a tiny crack on the egg. Haider looked at Flame asking that why the skin tone of the egg was paler than yesterday but who knows what happened over night . Haider then illuminated the egg to see for signs of life but the egg was rather dark and dull the whole.

Then Haider did was to cut his Palm and dripped his blood onto to egg, He did this in a hunch as he felt that it needed it. The egg absorbed the blood over it and started to shake a bit before calming down again . Haider then took the heads out of the trunk and harvested the crystals and then placed another four inside the bag with the egg . He left the bag with Pearl as she kept looking at it with great interest . Pearl took the bag inside the back of the car and then covered it with her body, like a mother covering her egg from cold .
