Promise

Seeing the changing expressions of Harry's parents made Jason's heart ache but he knew that sorting this right now was better than having problems later on.

Finn Clenched his fists as Savannah held his arm with an anguished expression on her face. Harry was their only child and losing him was devastating. Both of them had been trying their best to be positive about the situation and stay hopeful. At least staying hopeful gives them the will to live on.

"First of all, I can assure you that he is okay and nothing bad has happened to him except his transformation to a half-devil," Jason said in an assuring voice to calm them down.

"Where is he?" Finn asked aloud in a desperate tone as he stared intensely at Jason looking for more information about his son.

"I don't know specifically. Araya and others might have already told you that he was taken by the devils and I have my own sources to gather information from and they confirmed that he was indeed taken by the devils." Jason took as pause as he thought about how to phrase his next words. He had to tell them to stay away from Harry for now and he had to be as tact full as possible. Uncle Finn was also a superhuman and he would definitely go out searching for harry. He can't let that happen as he knows that if any of them interfere with Harry's matters then it can lead to his death.

"Uncle I want you to believe me on this, Harry is in a delicate situation right now and if we interfere with his matters then he will be in grave danger. All I ask is for you to keep yourself from searching for him before he comes to you by himself. Even the weakest Devils are more powerful than any superhuman and any mishap can lead to his death." Jason said in a sincere tone hoping to convince them.

"Jason you're asking us to leave Harry to face the apocalypse alone!" Finn said in a slightly angry tone.

"What is more important to you Uncle Finn, his life or him being with you right now? " Jason did not back down as he asked them in a calm voice.

Savannah could not help as tears came out of her eyes. A pit formed in her stomach as she felt as if a dark shadow was overwhelming her with darkness. The helplessness of not being able to help her son in need was eating her from the inside.

Finn embraced his wife, he could feel her body shudder silently as she continued to cry in his embrace.

"It's going to be alright Love, He'll come back safe in no time," Finn said in a soft voice trying to calm her down.

Jason's hands were clenched into fists as he felt helpless looking at her crying form. Aiden's eyes had also watered up.

"Harry is more than just a best friend to me he is my brother in all but blood and I promise that as soon as I find a way of bringing him back without harming him I'll bring him right back to you," Jason said with conviction as he turned to leave the room to give them some space.

"We'll come back in the evening again," Jason said as he indicated Aiden to follow him outside.

They kept walking silently lost in their own thoughts.

"Have there been any sightings of mutated animals?" Jason asked as he thought about the chain mission he had to complete. The faster he finds mutated beasts the faster he can start raking in coins from them. There was a reward of 1000 coins for each mutated animal killed.

"No, there hasn't been a major event around mutated animals. And I guess it would be difficult to have such an event in a city as there are were very few animals In cities nowadays." Aiden replied after giving it a though.

"So I might have to go towards the villages near the city…" Jason muttered as he though of a way to find mutated beasts. He could ask Finn and Savanna's if they had heard about mutated animals, they might know something.

Jason did not get to think more on this topic as he heard a familiar voice calling his name.

"Jason!" Arya called out aloud as she rushed towards him to embrace him.

Jason was soon embraced in a warm hug by Arya as she hugged him tightly distorting his thoughts slightly as he felt her soft body pressing upon him.

"You shit for brains, stop fainting again and again do you know how worried I was." Aya scolded him as she continued hugging him without letting go.

"Ahem!" Kim fake coughed as she came from behind Arya. Arya stopped embracing Jason as she realised that she had been a bit too emotional in public. She backed away hurridy with a red face.

"You can scold him affectionately afterwards all alone," Kim said in a suggestive tone as she too gave Jason a short hug.

"Welcome back to the land of the awake, princess" Kim teased him.

"What princess? I'm the knight in shining armour here to take your sister away from you" Jason said with a smirk.

"Where is your horse Mr. Prince?" Kim asked in a mocking tone.

Jason was about to continue their playful banter but Arya intervened.

"Stop you both, lets go to Jason's room to talk more comfortably, I'm dead tired right now."

"Yeah, we do have a lot to discuss "Jason as he started walking alongside Arya towards his room.

"So are we gonna stay here or go somewhere else," Kim asked in a curious tone. Their main motive coming to this side was finding Harry's parents. They had completed their mission here and Jason was also up and awake now.
