Intermission 13 Part 1

Charles Perrault runs for a confrontation with James Nelson Barker. He felt his existence could interfere with his men's fight with the otherworlders. Not to mention, the 'Charles Perrault' he created would be easily detected by him. Initially, his plan was to take the Amber Stone as an alternative source if the Black Gemstone or Red Gemstone could not be in the process of making weapons. The pieces will later be made to cover the book cover. Turns out the plan fell apart. He couldn't waste any more time after talking to Gufron.

The fast footsteps, along with the magic particles, flowed into the veins in the legs. His muscles tensed too. His feet were ready to go as fast as he could. Perrault immediately ran without a second thought. A strong gust of wind caused a slight shaking of the surface of the ice below. Luckily it can still be resolved. If it really broke, they might not be able to cross the mainland and climb the stairs to the ninth floor.
