"You are not?" asked Annie in surprise as she looked at Curtis.
"No Annie, I am not" replied Curtis as he shook his head once again, he could tell that Annie was stressed, he could feel it, and it was not good for her at all, he was sad that it was he himself that caused her to feel this way, because she was so worried about him.
"You did what you had to do in the moment Annie" said Curtis.
"And I trust your judgement, because you did not fail me at all, I am proud of the way that you have handled things without me, because I know that all you want to do Is protect me, and whatever decision you made, was the right one" said Curtis as he knew that Annie needed to hear these words, because she was blaming herself while she was not to blame at all.
Annie felt more tears drop from her eyes, she had been crying a lot, and she hated it, she was so weak, but Curtis did not know just how much his words meant to her, she had thought that she had failed him, that she was incapable of taking care of herself and him when he needed her the most.
"Don't cry Annie" said Curtis as Annie hugged him.
"I'm sorry Curtis, so Sorry" said Annie as she cried and she hugged him.
"What are you sorry for?" asked Curtis.
"I am sorry that you are in this pain because of me, it is because of me that you are in so much pain, if only I have not been selfish to bring you back, none of this would happen" said Annie as she cried.
"No Annie, don't say that, it is not your fault, it is my fault for not telling you or anyone about it once I started to feel weak" said Curtis as that was his fault, and not hers.
"But everything started when I was unable to protect you, and then the revive spell, and everything started going downhill from there" said Annie as she stopped hugging Curtis and she sniffed.
"Annie you did what you had to do in that moment" said Curtis.
"And I am sorry for blaming you, because if you did not do what you did, I might not be here right now" said Curtis as he smiled and Annie sniffed.
"No, maybe Aunt Stella would have been able to do something, if I was not to rash to jump into making in choice" said Annie as she sniffed and all Curtis did was smile at her.
"You know what Annie, let's stop taking about this, because it is only making you feel more agitated" said Curtis as he smiled.
"Okay" said Annie as she sniffed and she dried her tears.
"How do you feel now Curtis?" asked Annie.
"I don't feel bad, neither do I feel good" said Curtis as he replied honestly.
"Oh no, is that a bad thing?" asked Annie in concern.
"No, it's a good thing, because this way, I don't feel any pain" said Curtis as he smiled and Annie smiled, at least he did not feel any pain at all.
"Here, I brought Curtis some soup, since he's still a bit weak" said Alina as she walked into the room with a bowl of warm soup in her hands.
"Thank you Alina, I will feed him" said Annie as Alina handed her the bowl of soup and she smiled.
"No problem" said Alina as she smiled.
"Curtis I hope that you feel better now?" asked Alina as she turned to look at Curtis and he nodded his head.
"That's great, I hope you recover soon" said Alina as she smiled.
"Thank you" said Curtis as he nodded his head and Alina smiled at him.
"Well I will take my leave now, see you later Annie, if something comes up, which I doubt that it would, don't hesitate to call me" said Alina as she smiled.
"I won't Alina, thank you" said Annie as she smiled at Alina and Alina smiled at her as she walked away and she closed the door behind her.
Curtis groaned as he tried to sit up straight, but he just could not, he was in so much pain.
"Don't try to move Curtis, here I will help you" said Annie as se adjusted the pillow and she helped Curtis sit up as he rested on the pillow.
"You feel better now?" asked Annie as Curtis nodded his head, he could not move any other part of his body, it was just too painful.
"Alright, here, you need to eat" said Annie as she used a spoon to scoop the soup as she brought to spoon to Curtis' lips as he opened up and he drank the soup as Annie fed him.
"You will feel better in no time, but for now, don't try to move okay" said Annie as Curtis nodded his head and Annie smiled at him, she was so happy that he was alright now, she did not know what she would have done if he was not well, she would be devastated.
"Thank you Annie" said Curtis as he smiled.
"Don't say anything, just eat, okay" said Annie as she smiled and Curtis smiled at her.
…
"Umm… I…" said Annie as she walked to where Ivor and the others were sitting as it looked like they were having a meeting.
"Is everything alright Annie?" asked Ivor as he looked at Annie.
"Ahh yes, everything is fine Ivor, Curtis is doing better now, I just want to thank you for helping Curtis" said Annie as she looked at Ivor and he smiled.
"You don't need to thank me for anything, I should be the one to apologize what I did earlier was not good at all" said Ivor as Maddie rolled her eyes, of course now he realized that.
"But I understand, which is why I want to clear things up first, so that there are not any more misunderstandings" said Annie as Ivor nodded his head, he did agree with her.
"So… I lost my powers after fighting with Azazel, he played dirty, and killed Curtis, and when Azazel escaped, I used a revive spell to bring back Curtis, what I did not know at the time was that it was at he expense of my powers" said Annie as she explained.
"Revive spells never take away a witch's powers" said Ivor as he was confused, this was the first he had heard of such a thing happening.
"Well in my case it does, and well, things happened, and I need to find a way to get back my powers, and we thought that maybe the eternal waters at the top of Caligo will be able to help" said Annie as Ivor nodded his head, it all made sense now, why they were here.
"So we were in the middle of that when Alina suddenly accidentally shot an arrow at Curtis, and well here we are" said Annie.
"Like I said before, Curtis is my book, and he needs my magic to sustain himself, now that I don't have magic he's unable to do that, and his human form is wavering, his body is failing him, and it's scary to see him go through that" said Annie as she explained.
"I don't want us to have any more misunderstandings, so I am going to tell you the full truth" said Annie.
"Maddie, Matt and Prince Oliver, all know what is going on, Maddie and Matt where there when it happened, and they are my two trusted friends, and I trust Prince Oliver as well" said Annie as they all looked at her.
"Matt is…" said Annie as she looked at Matt for approval before she said what she was going to say, and he nodded his head as she sighed in relief.
"Matt is a half vampire, and half witch" said Annie as Ivor just nodded his head, now that explained the scent that he had on him, it was a mixture of a witch and a vampire.
"And is that all you have to say?" asked Ivor as Annie nodded her head as he looked at Ivor.
"Why are you looking at me?" asked Maddie.
"Well no reason, everyone seems to have one secret or the other" said Ivor as he looked at Maddie.
"Well I have no secrets, I am just Maddie, and that's about everything that you need to know" said Maddie as she smiled.
"Well regardless, now that everything is cleared up, I just want you to know that you can all stay here for as long as you would like" said Ivor.
"Thank you Ivor" said Annie as she smiled.
"Hey, do you hear that?" asked Alina as she walked into the room.
"What?" asked Maddie in confusion.
"There's no rain!!!" said Alina as her face lit up happily.
"Wait, there isn't?" asked Annie as she did not even notice.
"Yessss yesss finally" said Alina as she giggled, the rain had finally stopped, after so long, it had finally stopped.
