9. Learning Magic

Pakkun and the others came back with good news. After Pakkun told everything, Kakashi brought Izumi.

A few minutes later, the two arrived at the roof of the guild building. From that place, Kakashi who had been looking around also realized that the place was a blind spot. No one would know where they were as long as they weren't noisy.

"So, the window over here can lead us inside?" Izumi asked Kakashi. Kakashi nodded.

"That is what Pakkun said."

Then, Kakashi took out the Kunai from his pocket bag. He imbued the Kunai with his chakra to break the window hinges. Luckily, there was no magic barrier and trap there. So, he could break the window easily.

Not long after they got inside. They found what they needed. The library was underground. Although not that big, there were many books neatly arranged on the bookshelf. The books on the shelves were also arranged by type. Magic, history, strategy, technique, etc.

As soon as he saw the title of the book, he just remembered that the Fairy Tail world should have a different language. But somehow, the letters looked like they were automatically translated.

"Never mind. Who cares about that? As long as I can read, then it's good." Izumi said inwardly.

The two of them split up so their search wouldn't take too long. After taking about an hour, they only found books for basic magic. They couldn't find a book called seal magic. Still, he picked all the books that might be useful later.

"There's no way there isn't a sealing magic book. There must be one here, considering that the Fairy Tail guild was founded a long time ago."

Unable to find a book with a title, Izumi looked for another book with a title that might be related to sealing magic.

Wasting another hour, he finally found two books that might be related to sealing magic.

Izumi didn't immediately read the books they picked up. Izumi took out his phone, then pointed the camera lens at the books one by one.

"What are you doing, Izumi?"

"Scanning them. These books might be useful, so I will give these to others through the chat group."

"Make a sense. But, I wonder. Your world is at peace, right? Why do you need to learn magic like this? And you even want to learn Ninjutsu."

Kakashi's question made Izumi's movements stop until he glanced at Kakashi with deep thought.

After a short pause, Izumi answered.

"If I need to tell the truth, knowing another world excites me. In my world, or you could say in the modern world like mine and Kuroneko's, most young people like us have the desire to be able to go on adventures in other worlds. Me included. But, that was my first thought. When I think about it again, I start to realize that a character that should be in a manga or anime like you is becoming a real person. You also know it, right? That's why I changed my mind a little bit. From this mission alone, I can deduce that we will get a similar mission after this mission is over. Then, I decided to change the fate of the side characters, which usually don't end well. To do that, I need power. Enough power to change their fate."

Izumi said at length while lost in thought afterward.

There were a lot of side characters who didn't deserve the bad luck or even died. He wanted to change that.

Kakashi shook his head. He didn't know whether Izumi was just plain stupid or what. Anyway, his wishes were indeed good. But for what reason did Izumi intend to change their fate? Was it because they were his favorite characters? Or did it just satisfy him? Kakashi didn't understand.

Meanwhile, Izumi silently read the magic book for beginners.

As he read the description, it seemed magic was a physical embodiment of the spirit. And the magic is produced by the physical spirit and spiritual nature through the connection between both of them. To use magic, one needed mental concentration and magic power within the body. In the case of people in this world, their magic power seemed composed of Ethernano. Izumi didn't know if he could use magic without Ethernano which was the source of magic power. But, the description of the magic container inside his body was the same as the chakra container. In other words, using his internal energy to use magic is also possible.

Since he already scanned all the books he murmured.

"I think that's enough. I've scanned a lot of books already. This way, we can study them anytime without having to come here again. The next step should be inviting someone to the group. But who?"

What Izumi could think of was Warrod or Jellal since both of them were two of the ten Saint Wizards. The strength of these people couldn't be ignored. But, inviting Warrod was the best choice for his future plan. Moreover, he was an interesting old man.

Izumi stood up and said to Kakashi.

"Kakashi-san, let's find a place to train. I've scanned all the books, so we can practice in a quiet and relaxing place."

"Yeah, I need to implement my theory on whether I can use magic or not. Then, learn sealing magic." Kakashi replied.

Izumi only nodded in response. But then he smiled.

"You are a Copy Ninja. It would be funny if you became a Copy Magician."

"Copy Magician, huh? That might be interesting."

Izumi just twitched at his reply.

"There's no way, right?" Izumi said inwardly then shook his head.

After a moment, they went out of the building and went back to the current Fairy Tail guild.

Macao looked at both of them who didn't bring anything. He was confused.

"You said you need books to learn magic. But…"

"We're already memorized them all. Basic magic, lost magic, etc."

"You've memorized everything? So soon?"

Of course, what Izumi said was a lie. He only memorized the most important parts. Then he also told Macao what books he studied. He also told Macao that there was a blind spot where he could enter the guild secretly. However, Macao said.

"Even though the building was confiscated due to debt, it's still the main building of the Fairy Tail guild. How could I go in there like a thief?"

"Well, you have a point." Izumi replied awkwardly. He was stupid. Of course, Macao didn't want to do that. It was like he asked the guild master to be a thief in his own guild.

After chit-chatting for a bit, both Izumi and Kakashi went off somewhere. They wanted to know if they could learn magic in a short time.

The two of them walked out of the town and went to the forest where they arrived in this world.

After Izumi and Kakashi found a calm and quiet place, the two opened their phones to learn magic from the book they had scanned earlier. Since Kakashi was technology illiterate, Izumi taught him how to use a phone. Especially the chat group. That's why Kakashi has also become a little more proficient at using his phone. Though, he still didn't understand the benefits or uses that he could get from the phone.

The day has changed. Waking up, Izumi was surprised by Kakashi who said, "Looks like I can use magic already."

"Wait! Seriously?"

"Yeah, but I don't know what magic it is."

Then, Kakashi started to use his magic. A few moments later, Izumi was pensive. Izumi didn't understand. Kakashi said that he was able to use magic, but no magic was released by him. But then, he noticed something in Kakashi's right eye. He saw something like a small magic circle. It was activated, but no magic came out.

"What's your magic?"

"I don't know."

Kakashi shook his head. Izumi also knew nothing about magic. So…

"Then, let's figure it out later. Today I will try again, I can't believe that I can't use magic like you."

After he said that, he concentrated and tried to learn everything from the book. And after a full day, Izumi laughed happily.

"Hahaha, finally. I can use magic."

He didn't think he needed only two days to learn magic. His figure disappeared from where he was standing, then appeared elsewhere instantly within a radius of 10 meters. And he didn't do it just once, he can do it repeatedly just like an instant movement.
