10 10. What Magic Is That?

Izumi tried his new magic over and over until he had no strength left to stand. He was so tired, but also satisfied with the result. At first, he didn't know what magic it was. But when he thought about it, he found out it was similar to the Rules of the Area. Powerful space magic that could nullify any space magic within its area.

"Is it really the Rules of the Area?"

Izumi wondered. He found out it was familiar, but the distance was somewhat too short. So he told Kakashi about his magic which had similarities with the Rules of the Area magic.

"In that case, there are 3 possibilities. First, your magic is slightly different from the Rules of the Area magic you know. Or you could say a weak version of it. Second, those two magic are so different that there may be other powers of your magic that are still unseen. Third, both magic is the same, but since you're not strong enough yet, your magic is still in its infancy."

Izumi lit his eyes. Kakashi was right, he just learned magic for a few moments. He didn't realize something so simple. His magic was still immature. In addition, Izumi was still weak. It was no wonder his magic was only of that level.

While laying his back on the ground and his gaze looking up at the sky, Izumi thought of something. Magic could be learned easily according to the constitution of one's body. So if magic didn't match the body's constitution, it won't be able to progress to the next level. That was what he had learned from that book.

The magic book he read earlier was the origin or source of magic. And for some reason, he was able to awaken his magic as if he had awakened naturally after reading the book. So was Kakashi. Too bad Kakashi didn't know what magic he awakened yesterday.

However, if the magic that he awakened yesterday matched his body constitution, then…

"Hold on, his magic formed a magic circle in his right eye, don't tell me!!"

When he thought about what he said before learning magic, he now had a pretty solid guess. Although he wasn't sure if it would be true or not.

Izumi tried to recover his strength first. Once recovered, he told Kakashi that he wanted to try something.

Before he used his magic, he said to Kakashi, "Kakashi-san, try to use your magic and look at the magic circle below my feet when I use my magic!"

"Look at your magic circle?" At first, Kakashi was confused. But then, he guessed what Izumi wanted him to do.

Too bad, after a couple of tries, Kakashi still failed.

"It seems my magic isn't copying magic." Kakashi shook his head. But Izumi thought of another factor. Just as his Sharingan couldn't copy Kekkei Genkai, his magic definitely had its limitations in copying magic.

If it still failed, it meant that his magic really wasn't copying magic. But still, he wanted to try it first.

"If it's not copying magic, then what? Charm magic? Time magic to slow or freeze the enemies for a brief moment? Or hypnotic magic?" Izumi thought deeply. Whenever or wherever related to power in the eye, surely that power was definitely not a joke.

In the end, Izumi decided to go to the Fairy Tail guild. Kakashi followed behind him while looking at Izumi.

"This boy, sometimes he acts like a kid, and sometimes he acts mature. I really don't understand what's on his mind. Anyway, although he is not a genius, he is a quick-witted kid." Kakashi said inwardly while looking at Izumi from behind.

He looked up to the sky. He felt a bit relaxed after he joined the chat group. Maybe going to another world wasn't a bad idea since he could learn something new. Be it power or even knowledge.

"Kakashi-san, how's your left eye?"

Izumi suddenly asked. Kakashi touched his left eye with his left arm. Even though he didn't know what magic he had awakened, still he easily learned sealing magic from the book just a day after awakening his magic.

And right after he learned sealing magic, he sealed the energy within his left eye. That way, the Sharingan that should always be eating his chakra had been severed and he could use his left eye normally. If he wanted to, he could unseal it anytime when he needed it. All in all, the sealing magic he learned was very useful.

"It's fine. I sealed it perfectly. To be honest, I'm surprised as well that nothing went wrong."

"Sighed. I'm envious of your talent. You're so genius, Kakashi-san. If only you hadn't fallen into the dark so much in the past, you might have become Hokage by now."

Kakashi shook his head. He replied.

"There's no point in contemplating or remembering the past. It has already happened and I can't change it either. We should live our life to the fullest now and try to be better for the future."

"Wow, your words are so deep, Kakashi-san! Well, you could say it's like my grandparents' advice. To think that someone as young as you would say that directly in front of me."

*Chop*

"Ouch, ouch, ouch!"

Kakashi chopped Izumi's head because annoyed by Izumi's words.

After they walked for a dozen minutes, the Fairy Tail guild came into view.

Macao greeted them when both got inside. While Izumi looked around, he saw some new faces he hadn't met before. Though, Izumi could guess who they were.

Izumi approached Macao and whispered.

"Fourth guild master, I wanted to ask something."

"What is it?"

After Macao asked back, Izumi pointed at Kakashi.

"My friend over here can use magic already. But we didn't know what magic it was. Can you help a little?"

"How do we help you?"

Because Macao seemed to want to help them. Izumi also said what he needed which made Macao invite Izumi and Kakashi to the backyard. Some of the guild members also followed them out of curiosity.

"Hey, who are you? Are you those bastards' companions who want to deceive my father?"

There was a little kid who stopped them. His appearance somehow imitated Natsu Dragneel.

"That's rude, Romeo! You shouldn't judge people too early!" Macao reprimanded him. That kid, Romeo, was his only son. He was a cheerful kid a few years ago. But, his attitude changed drastically after the Fairy Tail members who participated in the promotion exam were declared dead as a result of Acnologia's attack.

Macao looked at Izumi and Kakashi. He explained what happened to his son.

"Why don't you tell him that they're still alive." Izumi whispered in a low voice.

"He didn't believe it. He even said that I can't face reality. To be honest, I'm also unsure whether they're still alive."

"Just wait for a half year. The seal will be broken at that time."

"Is that certain?"

"I'm not certain the exact time, but you do. Just remember when the attack happened, then count it to seven years! That's when the seal will be broken."

"I see, I will remember that. Then…"

Macao nodded. But Romeo interrupted him.

"What are you guys whispering? These two guys are suspicious!"

Because that kid insisted on making trouble. Izumi looked in Macao's direction.

"Fourth guild master, this might be rude. So, hold it!"

Then Izumi turned to Romeo.

"You said we wanted to deceive your father? Don't get me wrong, kid. There's no merit in doing something like that. Your guild has nothing. And you guys even have huge debts. Why do I need to waste my time deceiving your father?"

"Y-you…!!!"

Romeo pointed at Izumi, but couldn't say anything.

Meanwhile, Kakashi shook his head. He grabbed Izumi's shoulder.

"He's still a little kid and his mind is still labile. You don't have to respond to him like that."

Izumi could only laugh in embarrassment after Kakashi advised him.
