“Sorry, dude. I’m worried about you. You’re one of my best friends. I’ll fucking kill him if he hurts you.”

David snickered. “Fair enough. I’ll warn him about you.”

Joshua leaned slightly over the table and grinned at David. “When did you move into his place anyway? Why didn’t you get me and the other guys to help pack your stuff?”

“I spent every night at his place after three days of dating him, but I only began to live with him after being together officially for slightly more than a week.”

Joshua’s eyes widened. “The two of you deserve each other. Whose idea was it?”

“Toby’s, but I agreed without much persuasion on his part.”

Joshua slumped back against the chair and whistled under his breath. “You’re both sick in the head. Anyway, back to my question. Why didn’t you ask me and the other guys to help you out?”

“I don’t own much. You know that.”
