Chapter 3 - The Meeting

Alpha Rhys POV

I grabbed my shoes and walked with my mother to the home she shared with my father and younger brothers.

This wasn't exactly how the hell I wanted to spend my morning man..

'How the hell did you plan to spend it? With a hangover and that tramp still in your bed?' Magnus, my wolf growled in annoyance. He didn't feel good either. I won't be having tequila and patron together again that's for fucking sure.

'Shut up Magnus.' I rolled my eyes at my jackass of a wolf just as my mother and I stepped inside my parents home.

Much to my annoyance, Madison was there! She just ran out of my damn packhouse like 30 minutes ago and this was the first place she thought to run to? Seriously?

'Fucking leech.' Magnus was being his usual asshole self today I see. It's hilarious how much he can't stand her.

"Madison what the hell are you doing here?" I growled shutting the front door after my mother walks in behind me.

"I seen her running out of the packhouse, in her underwear no less. Is that any way to treat the woman who would be your Luna?" My father spit at me, all that earned was a nice eye roll from me.

"She's not my Luna. I don't need a Luna, I've been running the pack for 7 years without one and we've all been just fine." I spit back with just as much annoyance as my father held.

"Enough of this Rhys! You are the Alpha, the pack needs a Luna and we have all seen how much time you spend with Madison. You haven't found your fated mate and you haven't taken a chosen mate yet either. The pack needs an heir and you're almost 30. The council and Alpha Kano won't wait much longer before they host a challenge for someone to replace you." My father so gracefully reminded me of my current situation.

Thanks dad! You stated the absolute fucking obvious.

"Father, with all due respect, like you said, I'm Alpha, not you and you can not tell me what to do. Madison will not be my Luna, neither will anyone else. As for an heir, that's easy enough to obtain." I smirked at my attitude. Damn I'm an asshole! Ha!

"Son, this is not up for discussion any further. Alpha Kano has made it clear that if you did not have a mate and promise of an heir by your 29th birthday, he would host a challenge and seeing how you're about to turn 30 this year, his timeline has come and gone. I will not lose the pack that's been in our family for 200 years. This pack has always been run by the Dalton bloodline and I won't let you allow it to be lost because of your pig headed ways. Madison is the best shewolf you could hope for now. She's beautiful, intelligent, a good head on her shoulders, you obviously can't keep your hands off of her and she's Beta blood. Tonight, Madison will be announced as your Luna and you will mark her at the ceremony. End of discussion."

Oh yeah? That's it? End of discussion? Alrighty then pops.

Alpha Kano can suck my dick. Choke on it. All of that. I don't give a fuck that's he's the Alpha of Alphas.

'Yes you do dumbass. Even if you didn't agree with him, we can't challenge his ruling. He would fold us like origami idiot.' Magnus laughed again.

"Shut up Magnus or I swear to the Gods and Goddesses, will drink wolfsbane!" I yelled at him, getting fed up with his shit. He just shook his head and sat down in the back of my head.

"I'm not marking Madison and I'm not announcing her as my Luna father. It's not happening!" I roared as I felt my anger come to the surface.

"Alpha Kano says you are. I've already spoken to him about this. If you weren't getting so drunk last night, you would have known that. He will be here tonight for the ceremony. I would hope you and Madison are both on your best behavior." My father snarled with the most evil smirk on his face.

"I will be Alpha Landon and I hope to serve our pack well as Luna." Madison smiled at my father then at me.

This leech..

'Fucking great Rhys! Now we have to mark that tramp! You couldn't have just left her alone and waited for our mate. Nope you had to go and fall for a pair of nice tits!" Magnus growled walking to the back of my mind.

Ugh! Well this sucks!

Now I have to claim and mate this leech and announce her as my Luna? All because Alpha Kano says I need a Luna and heir? Well newsflash bro.. you don't force shit like this on people man!

"We also need to discuss the time we will be leaving tomorrow morning for the Red Stone pack. Alpha Bryson and his father, Alpha Theo have requested our presence."

"About what?" I asked with the least amount of care I could muster.

"They would like our help with their recent rogue attacks. Normally I would have advices you against it, son, but Alpha Kano said we are to go meet with them and at least see what they have to see about it."

I looked over at my best friends after that, my Beta Mateo and Gamma Jett.

If only everyone knew.

I'm sure they could feel my fucking fire brewing.

They both watched me with wary eyes, that also had a hint of anger behind them.

"Well I guess since Alpha Kano has spoken on both issues, there was really no need for this meeting. You could have just told me this through the link and I would have still been in my fucking bed."

"Love. Please don't be so hostile right now." Madison smiled at me again and I couldn't help but turn my nose up at her. Man fuck! She was a good lay, but I didn't want the shewolf in my bed every night. This is a fucking nightmare!

I swear if I ever get the chance.. I'm shoving wolfsbane down Alpha Kano's throat.
