Chapter 28: Fed up

KAORI ||

The last two days have been some of the best here honestly. Magnus has been with me the whole time. We couldn't actually speak when he was in his form, but his fur was so soft and Kora was so comforted by his presence, I didn't mind too much.

It was hilarious whenever he would need to use the bathroom or eat though. He would shift back to Rhys form, but never actually giving him control. Magnus was powerful, that much was clear. I had never actually came across a wolf that had that much say so over their human half.

The times when he was in Rhys form, he would talk to me about anything I wanted. I didn't know if he actually blocked Rhys out or not, but seeing how he had such a hold over his body, I kind of just went with the flow and acted like Rhys didn't even exist.

You would think that would be hard to do because I was literally staring at his form, but with Magnus in control and Kora so content, it made it a lot easier than I thought it would.

Magnus would cuddle with me, purring until I feel asleep. His grip was a lot tighter than Rhys that night when he came in and did.. you know. Magnus was very sweet and considerate to my needs, it made it hard to believe all of the rumors I've heard about the so called "lose cannon" that he could be.

Magnus made sure nobody could bother me either, he would refuse Madison, Mateo, Jett and Preston access to my room. Making whoever brought my meals those days, leave the tray outside the door. He would then go grab it and lock the door back once he brought my food to me.

The only person he actually let in my room was Emilee. I talked about her a lot and how I considered her a friend, so he allowed her to come in whenever I asked to see her. Which was quite often.

She spent the whole first day in here with us, Magnus was in Rhys form so she wouldn't be as intimidated. I never would have thought that I would make such a strong connection with someone else's wolf, but everything with Magnus was so easy. He was everything that I wished Rhys would have been, maybe I would have fallen for him if he acted more like his wolf.

Kora was so happy these last few days, I even shifted to let her out. She snuggled up against Magnus last night, while Magnus took his true form. I watched through her eyes as they nestled into each other's necks and fell asleep on the floor, completely content.

Magnus was just as sweet to Kora as he was to me. It was absolutely beautiful to see!

When this morning rolled around, Kora shifted back giving me control. Magnus stayed in his form, but I told him that I would love to get out the house today and he nodded his head in agreement. So that's exactly what we did!

Currently, we were sitting outside under the shade of a tree, right in front of their pack high school. The building was alot bigger and looked more expensive than ours back home. I was laying against Magnus' side, when he thought it was a good idea to tackle me and start mauling me with his disgusting freaking tongue. It tickled, his breath was hot and it smelled like death.

Like literal death!

I quickly pushed him off of me and he watched Mateo, Jett, Preston and Madison for awhile after that. His ears were back and his hackles were up, but I really didn't know why. It's not like he actually needed to be on alert around them.

I was about to reach out and scratch behind his ear when I heard yelling from behind the pack high school.

Getting to my feet at the same time Magnus did, I looked at him briefly before walking towards the noise.

"Wait Kay! Let us go, we will figure out what's going on." Mateo said rushing to my side.

"No it's ok Mateo, I'm going to check it out myself. If you're coming with, then let's go." I said leaving no room for argument before running towards the screams.

I stopped taking in the sight in front of me.

There was a man on the ground, curled into a ball shielding his head with his arms as 3 other men were kicking him and laughing.

"Weak ass Omega."

"Next time, pay attention to where you're walking."

"You actually had the nerve to spill your fucking juice all over me Omega! A warrior, somebody hear to protect you, yet you disrespect me this way!"

Oohhhh... so this is what we're doing here.

This way of thinking in this fucking pack man! I'll never understand it. Omegas are important!

I watched in horror as one of the men kicked the Omega on the ground again and before I could stop myself, I rushed towards them and put my body between the warrior and the Omega.

"What the fuck?!" The warrior screamed as he stopped his fist before it connected to my jaw.

"Who the fuck are you?"

"Kaori and you are?" I growled as he smiled running his eyes down my body.

"Everyone calls me Leo."

"Well Leo, why the fuck are you picking on one of our Omegas?"

"Excuse me?"

"English seems to be lost on you, should I repeat my question in Spanish?" I ask.

Leo steps forward to close the gap between us then and turns his lip up as he looks down at me.

"I'll ask again, who the fuck are you?"

"And I'll tell you again, my name is Kaori."

"What's your purpose here? I've never seen you here before. You're not pack."

"I'm here as a friend of Alpha Rhys and Luna Madison's." I explain turning my back on him and crouching down to the Omega on the ground.

"What's your name love?" I ask as I gently pull his arms from around his head. His eyes meet mine, tears stained his cheeks. He looked so young, why the hell would these so called warriors be mistreating him this way.

"My name is Collin."

RAGE.

That was the only emotion I felt course through my veins when I heard his name.

"Emilee's brother?" I whisper looking deeper into his eyes and he frowns before nodding his head.

"You know my sister?"

"Yes I do. She's one of my bestfriends. My name is Kaori. Let me help you up." I say, grabbing his hands and slowly pulling him to his feet.

Collin was only a few inches taller than me which made sense because of his rank, but that didn't make him any less important in my mind.

My eyes traveled the length of his body, taking him in. All of the bruises these fucking warriors left were riddled across his skin, slowly healing.

I shot my attention to Maddox silently asking for permission to challenge the warriors here, he seems to be so intuned with me now, that he simply nods and I smile triumphantly.

Once I brought Collin over to Mateo and Jett, I turned back around and walked with purpose before I stood in front of Leo and the other two warriors here.

"Fight me." That was all I said before my fist connected with Leo's jaw, making him stumble backwards.

"Bitch!" He snarled as he got his footing.

"My name is Kaori, but if calling me a bitch makes you feel more like a man, than so be it."

"Give me control Kay. Let me rip these fuckers apart!" Kora growled and I happily obliged my wolf, sinking back and relinquishing control as I watched through her eyes.

Kora stayed in my form as she launched herself at Leo, he tried to stop us but we quickly ducked and wrapped our arms around his neck, flinging our body sideways, bringing Leo's body crashing to the ground.

We placed our hand on his back and kicked back, our foot landing in the center of the other warriors chest as we watch the third rush us.

Flipping over Leo, we grab his arm and bring his body with us to slam into the third warrior just as the second we kicked in the chest, comes forward.

Throwing combo after combo with him, eventually we get our arms tangled into his own and shove our palms up to hook under his chin, forcing his head up. He groaned in pain as we kneed him in the balls.

Watching his body fall to the ground, he clutched his precious jewels and we turned around to see Leo getting off the ground.

Just as I get into another stance, I feel arms wrap around me and pull me into someone's body.

Leo and the second warrior immediately stop where they are and I don't even have to know that the body I'm being crushed against is Rhys.

I didn't feel the sparks from our bond anymore, but his scent was still just as strong as it was the moment I laid eyes on him for the first time.

"When the hell did he take control from Maddox?" Kora whispers and I shake my head internally.

"I don't know, but I have a feeling we're going to deal with his wrath next."

"Then let's deal with it." Kora growls, giving me back control and crouching down in a protective stance.

"What?" I ask, confused about the sudden confidence that coursed through my wolf.

"Kick his ass Kay. I'm done being pushed over and stepped on. He's nothing like his wolf and Maddox will understand. I'm so done Kay..... Kick. His. Ass."
