Chapter 39

The next day had arrived and Orochimaru was given his first mission. He was traveling with Akainu to deliver Portgas D. Ace to Impel Down. 

There were going to bring him back, but things weren't set for his execution. Which made this more of a secret mission. 

Orichimaru had taken the pleasure to go down and talk to Ace. The room at the bottom of the ship was quite dark and had a cold silence that made even the smallest of sounds vibrate. 

Tap, Tap, Tap... 

It is the sound of Orochimaru's footsteps. His golden slitted pupils scanned the whole apartment. There were some low level Pirates he had brought, but he didn't care about that. 

Some of them cursed at seeing his Marine coat. They remembered the giant man who caught them. Some even saw a genie. 

But in the end his new name was Rear Admiral Orichimaru from the Snake man tribe. 

With a sly smile, Orochimaru reaches the cell where Ace was being kept. He didn't want anything to do with him earlier, but now he had found out something interesting. 

"So you are the infamous Fire Fist. Ace, or should I call you Gol D. Ace. The son of the King of the Pirates. 

Ace brows knot, he never wanted to be called that, "Tsk."

The rogue-nin from the Leaf didn't mind at all. He just maintained his smile, "Are you sure, you should be treating me like that? I might be the only person who can get you out of here, you know."

"Piss off!" Ace roared. He could tell that only trouble awaits if he worked with someone like this new Rear Admiral. 

"Why don't you at least here me out? I am sure it would be worth your time. It's not like you got plenty left anyway. I might do you a favor and deliver your final words to your younger brother."

Ace turned silent and calmed down. Orochimaru had just told him he was going to be killed soon. There were still a few things he needed to do. 

'Siblings sure are fascinating, isn't Itachi?' The senin thought. 

He remembered two people in the Akatsuki who had the same relationship as Ace and Luffy. Still and all, he was no longer in that world. 

He said in a sly manner, "The One Piece, you see. It quite amazes me. For something to be labeled the greatest treasure in the world, I wonder what it looks like? I know you never met your father, but my instincts tell me... That between you and White Beard, he must have left a small hint of where it was."

Despite it having nothing to do with him, Orochimaru wants to see what this One Piece really looks. It is the greatest treasure in the world that the government is trying to stop people from getting. 

"Tsk." Ace frowned. He didn't want anything to do with Gol D. Roger, yet this Marine was still pinning him down to that bastard, "If I knew something, I would have already told paps and why would he know about the One Piece?"

"Oh, he knows. I am sure of it."

If it were a prison visit, Ace would have already walked away. This pale skinned man was really annoying. He was just spouting B.S without any concern. 

Orochimaru continued sensing Ace's disbelief, "White Beard and Roger were rivals who competed to conquer the Grand Line. After your father conquered it first, White Beard had lost the race, there wasn't any point in him reaching the end."

"....." 

"You can't consider the White Beards as a pirate crew, can you? To me, you guys are just a gangster cartel on a ship."

"Shut up!" Ace shouts, as he stood up from the ground, pulling the chains binding him. 

Orochimaru smiled, he had already gotten what he needed, "It is not like I am lying. Pirates are adventures of the sea, not a family out there to party."

He started to walk and after a few steps he turned back. Ace didn't flinch from his wicked gaze, but didn't matter. 

"How was is?"

"...." Ace sat down in silence. He didn't want to talk to Orochimaru again. 

"Itachi's Sharingan? I heard that you two are quite friendly to each other, I certainly hope he comes to your rescue."

Thanks to one of his thousands of informants, Orochimaru had kept tabs on all the members of the Akatsuki. Most of them were criminals, thus why he joined the Marines. 

Ace just went back to seat down. He didn't understand why the Rear Admiral had brought up Itachi. They had only stayed together for a day, and he was only sleeping on their ship. 

"Just who is that gu, -!"

Before he could finish his mutter, Ace found a snake biting his left nape. He managed to get rid of it, but a small mark with a similar design to Itachi's eyes was left. 

"Just what is this?"
