“I’m really sorry, Mr. Dani, for leading those dragons we raised together to their deaths like that.”
Joke accepted the cards while speaking guiltily. Dani shook his head.
“It’s fine, dude. I know you did your best. I know more than anyone how much you love those dragons. They were fighting according to your order, right to their last moments…That’s already enough.”
He lightly patted Joke’s shoulder and received a faint smile from the bespectacled man in return.
Knock Knock Knock
A sound of knocking suddenly rang out while the two were still talking. Then, the door slid open to reveal a blonde woman who always had a sweet smile on her face.
“Ms. Lia?” said Joke.
“I have something to talk to you about. I hope it won’t be a waste of time for you?”
Her request was more than enough for Dani to break into a wide mischievous grin.
