Level Up

Alilith followed Lao into the forest. Alilith, still getting used to her human body struggled to walk often tripping on the roots of trees.

Lao looked around for an easy mutated beast to kill, staying alert for stronger mutated beasts or even demons that sensed to mana surge earlier.

After walking for a while Alilith had gotten a bit more used to her human body. Though she still stumbled sometimes she was able to walk almost regularly.

Suddenly Lao sensed a mutated beast nearby. Leading Alilith, Lao brought her to the mutated beast.

The mutated beast looked like wolf with an extra small and deformed head coming out of its back.

"This is a mutated wolf beast." Lao said, "When mana came into the universe and mutated the creatures here it caused many mutations. Not all of them were beneficial as you can see by this wolf. All it gained was an extra head that's deformed. This will be your first kill to level up."

"Since you're not used to your human body you're going to use magic to kill the wolf."

"There are a few ways to use magic. The best way to use magic is to use your imagination. Using your imagination makes it stronger and makes it easier to make new spells."

"The other way is what people with little imagination to use chanting. Its not the most effective method but its easier for most people."

"Personally I believe that chanting is stupid so were using the imagination method."

"You have the skill [Basic Fire Magic]. While you can create nearly anything using magic were going to start with the most basic spell. Fire ball!"

"To conjure the fire ball all you have to do is imagine a ball of fire while channeling mana through your mana core or in your case your [Soul Flame]."

Alilith closed her eyes trying to visualize a ball of flame. The image of a flame came easily to Alilith almost instinctually.

However Alilith had never used mana before. She doesn't know how to channel it through her core.

Alilith tried to dig deeper into her body. She searched for the feeling of mana. Suddenly she felt a warm feeling deep within her.

Following the feeling she reached her [Soul Flame] glowing in a white light. She felt the mana within the [Soul Flame] and tried to channel the mana through it.

After several attempts Alilith suddenly felt the mana flow through her [Soul Flame].

A small ball of flame appeared in Alilith's hand.

"Good! Now all you have to do is direct the mana toward the wolf and let the fire ball follow the mana path and hit the wolf." Lao said.

Letting the man flow outside her body she directed it toward the wolf. The fire ball followed the path of mana, quickly flying toward the wolf.

The wolf sensing a threat heading toward it tried to dodge it. However the fire ball was too fast for it and the fire ball struck the wolf on its deformed head quickly swallowing it in flame.

The wolf yelped and quickly rolled around on the ground trying to dispel the fire magic. Unfortunately for the wolf the magic fire quickly burned through it ending its life.

After Alilith distributed her [Attribute Points] she felt the excess spiritual energy flow through her, improving her body.

She felt her mind grow sharper, her muscles grow and then grow denser, her coordination increase, and many others.

Alilith had never felt so refreshed and strong before.

She felt like she was soaring high in the sky. Higher than she ever could as a crow.

"I see you've finished distributing your [Attribute Points]" Lao said " Good, lets continue to level you up."

For the next few hours Lao continued to lead Alilith to weak mutated beasts. Alilith tried many different forms of [Fire Magic].

She made swords, arrows, spears, and other weapons with [Fire Magic]. Of course Alilith didn't know what these weapons looked like at first.

Lao had given Alilith a demonstration with these weapons. Allowing Alilith to understand what the weapons are and how they worked.

After they finished hunting Alilith's status looked like this.

"Well... Your status is definitely not for someone of your level. For the average human to get that many [Attribute Points] they'd have to level up 18 times."

"Anyway we should try out some of your other skills. Though the only other skill you can try is your transformation skill."

Alilith activated her transformation skill.

Alilith felt her body changing. Her arms shrunk and turned into wings a fire, her legs turned into talons, her face into the face of a predatory bird. All of her body was wreathed in bright flames that danced through the air around her.

Alilith's body exuded a aura of absolute power spreading out into the surroundings.

Animals and weak mutated beasts were stunned under the suffocating aura while stronger mutated beasts fled as fast as their legs could carry them.

Alilith spread her fiery wings and shot upwards flying high into the sky leaving a trail of flames behind her.

"CAAAAAWWWWWW!!!"

Her voice resounded in the surroundings. It was powerful and majestic.

Lao stared in amazement at Alilith's true form. Lao could feel Alilith's dominance over fire causing even her, a spirit of fire, to want to bow down.

Though Lao could resist the urge she felt that when Alilith got stronger in the future she would not be able to resist.

'Lord of spirits!' Lao shouted in her mind 'What is she?! I've never felt something like this before!'

"ROOOOAAAARRR!!"

Suddenly another roar resounded in the surroundings, challenging Alilith's.

"Oh No! Its the King of the Forest!"

"Alilith! Run-" Lao shouted but it was too late

A tree was flying through the air heading straight for Alilith.

Alilith dodged the tree and looked around for her attacker.

Looking where the tree was thrown from Alilith saw a huge 20 foot tall gorilla with white hair across its body. Its arms were as thick as cars and its legs were filled with powerful muscles.

Its eyes were not only filled with rage but also intelligence. It roared again and violently beat its chest.

"It must have been threatened by your aura" Lao said as she flew up by Alilith's side

"It believes that you were challenging it for its territory!"

Alilith was not afraid however. She felt a confidence deep within her telling her she could win.

"Fine, let it come." Alilith said calmly "I'll put this inferior creature in its place."

Alilith channeled mana through her [Soul Flame] to her beak and gathered fire mana there charging it into a beam.

The gorilla sensing the threat uprooted a boulder the size of a truck and threw it at her.

Releasing the beam it struck the boulder causing it to burst into flames and plummet to the ground.

"CAAAAAAWWWWW!!!"

"ROOOOOOAAARRR!!!"

The two roared at the top of their lungs, challenging one another in a battle of dominance.
