Chapter 77 Next Destination

"Is this the gate that I had you developed it, Ichika?" Asked Kanda as he looks at the equipment in front of him.

The equipment had the shape of a large ring with the radius of 2 metres. It had been supported by square frame that had surrounded that equipment. This equipment had been placed inside a large room at one of the secret bases in the "Sanctuary". Several figures can be seen checking the equipment to ensure its safety features.

"Yes, Supreme Commander, I had built this device with the blueprint that you had been given at me before." Answered Ichika which standing beside him.

"Ichika, how many times that I need to tell you, don't call me Supreme Commander as I'm had already not involved in the "Sanctuary" government's structures. After the selection for the officials in the "Sanctuary" had been completed, I had released my position as the Supreme Commander." Kanda said that to Ichika.

"Haha, I couldn't do that, Ichijou-san. Although you had not became the Supreme Commander again, the people on this planet still had regarded your as their spiritual leader. Therefore, you're still our leader albeit not holding any positions in the government." Replied Ichika at Kanda.

Kanda wants to retort on her words but he just let it go before he say: "Have you done the test for this gate, Ichika?"

"Yes, Ichijou-san. First, we had tested short-distance teleportation within one kilometre before medium-distance teleportation within 100 kilometres. Finally, we had tested long-distance teleportation from this room towards one of our spaceships outside this planet. However, we had not done yet the test to travel at another universe due to the energy consumption that will be needed to do that teleportation." Replied Ichika.

"Energy consumption?...Hmm...How much do you think that we need to travel at another universe, Ichika? And how many people that I could bring with me later?" Asked Kanda at Ichika.

"As this gate is our first prototype, we need tremendous amount of energy to travel at another universe which could be done by consuming about 5000 tonnes of metals from the Energy Converter Device. For how many people that you could bring with you, I could give my assurance for 5 people only including you." Answered Ichika.

"Can you upgrade this gate later, Ichika?" Asked Kanda again.

"Well, I could upgrade it but I couldn't guarantee that I could upgrade this in a short time." Replied Ichika unsurely.

"How much time do you need, Ichika?" Asked Kanda.

"For this gate, I could upgrade it in a month but if you want me to create a much bigger gate for our spaceships or Reisende to be passed...I need about 6 months until one year for the gate to be built as I need to consider its energy consumption and the mass that the gate will be carried during teleportation." Replied Ichika.

"Hmm...I will use this prototype first and you will upgrade it later after I had passed through it, Ichika?" Kanda said his decision at Ichika.

"Ok, no problem...but can I ask you something, Ichijou-san?" Replied Ichika before she asked Kanda.

"Sure, what is it?" Replied Kanda for Ichika to continue her words.

"Why you want to use this gate as soon as possible? Why you don't wait for this gate to be finished until its next upgrade before you use it to travel at another universe?" Asked Ichika.

"Well...that's a mistake on my side, Ichika." Answered Kanda which confused Ichika before Kanda told her a story.

==Flashback, 10 days ago.==

Kanda had returned to his room after he had finished to meeting to finalise the officials that will work inside the government.

Kanda had returned his power as the Supreme Commander at the people on this planet which unknown to him that his title as the leader still being kept by the officials at the government where Kanda could order the people in this planet for his bidding.

Inside the room, Kanda had spoke with his system about his rewards for the quest on the first world where the list for his quest had appeared in his mind.

"How about the next quest, AL? Is it I need to teleport to another world?" Asked Kanda at his system.

"How about my subordinates and family in this planet? Can I bring them with me?" Asked Kanda about his worry on his people.

[Requested had been accepted...Solution had been created for Player's request...Solution had been found...Player received <Multiverses Portal Gate (blueprint)>...]

A blueprint had appeared in front of Kanda which Kanda say at the system: "What am I going to do with this blueprint, AL?"

Kanda had understood on what his system had said at him where he need to create this gate if he want to bring his family with his adventure. Kanda also heard notification ringing in his mind where he looks on it.

Kanda had shocked expression when he had looked at the quest which he quickly going outside the room to find Ichika for her help.

==Flashback End==

"....that's the story, Ichika." Kanda told her about what had happened.

"I see, that's why you need my help urgently on that day...ok, I understand. I will do my best to fine tuning the gate before you had used later." Replied Ichika while nodding her head.

"Thank you, Ichika. Right now, I will go make my preparation and searching for the peopl that might come with me later. Good bye." Kanda thanked Ichika before he going outside the room after saying his farewell at her

"Ok, Ichijou-san, Good bye." Replied Ichika as she waving her hand at him.

For two days, Kanda had made preparation and arrangement for the people that will go with him at his next world. Ichika had succeed to increase slightly the number that Kanda could bring with him from 5 to 7 including him which is a good news for him. The people that Kanda will bring with him are Raven, Hawk, Swallow, Claris and two battle maids.

All of them had brought specialised ring with them which could act as a storage and communication device. The storage had the capacity of 10 metres cubic which allows them to store moderate amount of supplies inside that. They also had brought telecommunication device which had been created to allow them contacting with the people at the "Sanctuary" after Kanda had spent some of his SC for the blueprint of that device.

Kanda and his teams had readied in front of the portal gate where others had came inside that room to see Kanda's departure.

The portal had been activated where dark-like space can be seen at the inside of the portal. Ichika and her team had maintained the operation of the gate where they had done quick checking on the gate to ensure Kanda and his team's safety when they go through the portal.

Kanda looks at the people inside the room and say: "Everyone, I will go now. I will wait all of you at the other side after Ichika had finished to construct another bigger gate later."

"Be careful, Kanda." Aoi said that worriedly at him.

"We will come later, Kanda. Please wait for us there." Melwin said that to Kanda.

"That's right, Kanda. We will come as soon as possible." Eris supported Melwin's words.

"Kanda, don't try to flirt with another girls there." Manami said that to Kanda.

"Fufufufu, that's right, Ichijou-kun. You need to ask your girlfriends first if you want to do that." Teased Kuune at Kanda.

"Hmph, I don't think that he will listen at your words as he is the same just like any men." Jens said that while crossing her arms.

"Nyahahaha...you had been scolded, Kanda. Anyway, please take care of my daughters when you had arrived there." Chaika said that to Kanda while asking him for a favour.

Kanda just warily smile at some of the comments that he had listened from his family before he say: "I will try my best to fulfill all of your request, everyone."

Kanda looks at his team behind him and say: "Let's go and don't waste any time anymore."

"Yes, Sir." Replied his team.

Kanda and his team start to enter the portal gate one by one before they had disappeared inside there. The gate starts to lose its power after Kanda and his team had passed through it which cause an uproar inside the room before Ichika ensure them that Kanda and his team are safe.

~On another side of gate.

Kanda and his teams had appeared at the alley of the building where they could see a modern like structures around them. They also could see the resemblance some of the buildings there with buildings on the Earth at the place they had came from.

Kanda heard notification inside his mind where he focus in his mindscape.

[Teleportation had succeeded...Unlocking new quest for the second world...]

'Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machinart? What academy is that? Anyway, I need to find place for our headquarters first.' Asked Kanda at himself first before he shakes his head to ignore that question and plan for his next move.

He looks at his team and say: "We will go to find a place for our hideout, buying some essentials here and gathering some information before we make our next move in this place. Are we clear with that?"

"Yes, Sir." Replied his team.

"Good. Let's go." Kanda nods at their replies before they coming out from the alley.
