A Walk to Glasgow

"I just don't want this whole thing to be a sickening lie. I already told you, I have returned what you call a fucking good name! Now how will you handle me? Have you talked stupid things with your other bitches?" Hermione screams, this is her first-time losing control after being "Malfoy". Big decisions led to many mistakes, Ron and Harry had reminded her as much as they could, but a momentary love was so sweet, now Hermione could only swallow whatever she was crying for because of Draco.

Chapter 7

Draco almost threw up his breakfast that morning. His stomach was churning and twisting, twisting wdsith the uncomfortable feeling ever since he made that annoying girl leave with hurt eyes from before him. This should be easy right? Draco should have felt victorious and liberated, or Draco could have made her leave this inn voluntarily and be free to go on his journey.

But no, Draco felt like a rude asshole towards women who just asked him what he was doing in the part of the world he happened to be on, and Granger had mentioned Pansy, had she met Pansy too? Draco immediately ran to the closet, and he gave in to all the vomit that was pouring out.

Nothing was much better than today, his panic attacks came and he felt weak after removing all the contents of his stomach. Really a very nice way to start the day. He drank a lot of water, and sat on the edge of his bed, he couldn't have this feeling, this guilt feeling that he had… insulted Granger?

"What have I done..." Draco said weakly to himself.

Surely Granger was very offended and angry, or even disappointed? He had insulted her all their lives at Hogwarts, and five years of exile had not changed him at all, that must have been Granger's assessment of him. Draco didn't mean to explain if it had anything to do with bloodlines, or the bullshit that used to colonize his mind. He just felt there was nothing to expect from a criminal, for a hero of the wizarding world. "Of course this is a misunderstanding." Draco muttered again.

Draco paced back and forth while combing his hair in frustration, what if Granger really moved out of here? No, that's not it… What if Granger thought he was like a stupid, selfish little kid who couldn't control his mouth, after all his struggles to recover? This is all just a misunderstanding and he will explain. Where is Granger right now? Draco couldn't possibly find her right now and it scared her. Draco would wait for her to come back.

So far, her vacation in Glasgow has been a terrible decision for her, but she doesn't want to drag on and think about the little Malfoy's words that have disturbed her emotions this morning. She soon plans to visit the People's Palace Museum, and it is located in the Muggle world. Hermione visited the fountain monument at the end of the Glasgow wizarding community, and a statue came to life examining her wand, then the fountain split in two, allowing Hermione to pass. As she walked past, she turned around and behind her was just an ordinary fountain with a statue of a woman sitting staring at her for a while, then back at the water pooling at her feet, of course this was a far different from anything she was used to in England, she made mental notes, figuring it out. Can the statue be spoken to?

The trip to the People's Palace Museum pleased her. Close enough to the crowds of people passing by in the city centre, beautiful buildings with clear skies greeted her warmly, lots of parks around here, and green was what she was looking for. Arriving at the destination, Hermione immediately registered and a large garden with a tall statue with carved human shapes greeted her. This was very pleasant, she thought. Of course, there are some tourists sitting on the grass like camping, or just accompanying their little ones to play in the middle of the park.

Entering the Museum, it's like a time machine! The journey of Glasgow city life from time to time is recorded in full here. This was everything dedicated to this beautiful city, Hermione read every explanation in every box on the items and pictures on display, and was determined to rewrite it in her journal, when she got to the inn.

Hermione cleared out every piece of information and stored it in her mind, she made inferences from every piece of information she got, and she would try to find the connection between the major events every year in this town and the history of the wizarding community here as well.

The tour ended at 2pm, and Hermione seemed to have lost her memory of time. After visiting the last corner of the museum in the beautiful section of the greenhouse, she immediately rushed outside to find lunch, as her stomach began to growl. Hermione got eggos for her lunch, sat on the edge of the garden chewing slowly, contemplating what extraordinary lines would be written in her empty journal, and from that she considered a vacation in Glasgow the best choice of her life, and the phrase lasted until she reached… the top of the stairs to her room the night she returned from her trip today.

Draco Malfoy stood in front of her room door, and his eyes widened as Hermione walked by, trying to ignore whatever attack she was about to get from the man in front of her. It would be better if they pretended not to know each other, wasn't that what Malfoy wanted?

"Granger, you've come."

Hermione unlocked her room without looking back.

"Listen, about this morning.. I know it's really bad, but believe me, I never meant to insult you, in the same context as when we were teenagers."

Hermione didn't budge, after the door opened, she immediately entered the room, leaving Draco feeling disappointed, but Draco didn't give up, to hell with that bushy haired girl! He will explain everything so that his stomach is no longer sick.

"Granger, please listen to me." Draco held the door as it was about to close.

"What's your problem, Malfoy? I have agreed that not getting to know each other is the best decision, so you and I can live a quiet life during this wrong-going vacation." Hermione said sarcastically.

"No, that's not it. Okay, fine, listen to me." Draco said sternly and Hermione folded her arms, challenging him to speak.

"I misunderstood things this morning. I said "same line" shit, that's for myself, not for you."

"I have absolutely no idea what you mean, Malfoy."

"I mean, you can't expect anything from a criminal like me, because you're a… hero."

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I didn't expect anything from you at all. Besides, it's great that you're thinking about this for one fine day, now can you go? I'm tired and want to rest, or is there some other nonsense?"

"I don't..!"

Hermione winced at the sight of Malfoy half screaming and immediately turned back to his own room.

Draco locked his room tightly, managing his short and ragged breathing, talking to Hermione was so exhausting for him, and his senses. Her intelligent mouth was so murderous, and it seemed to bring him to life. Avoiding an embarrassing loss of control, Draco instead screamed like a madman and ran like a rat with a burning tail.

While Hermione was massaging her head in front of the table in front of the parchment ready to be filled, Hermione wondered about Draco Malfoy's strange behavior, had he apologized? This was another surprise for Hermione, being here would bring her many more surprises, that was what her feelings were whispering to her at this moment.
