Chapter 8 Next Objective

"A large scale teleportation..." Rose muttered.

Lucian Clenched his fist, Disintegrating the giant sword of light he created. Yet he coughed blood because of forcibly destroying his mana.

Cecilia woke up from her daze as she immediately began to slowly walk closer to Lucian and asked. "Where's... My Brother?"

"hmm? your brother? The one that crushed the shifting stone?" Lucian asked.

"Y-yes! D-do you know where he is?" Cecilia asked again.

Lucian looked around, he then explained "Looking at this place, the concentration of mana is too low and most of you are too weak to live in that place. I assume this is the other side, our hometown... I wonder how he

got my last shifting stone but assuming that your brother is also like you, a native of this place without any experience on the other side, I reckon his dead or almost by now."

"I-..." Cecilia muttered as she bit her lip, frowning as tears flowing from her eyes. She then rebutted "No! he won't die easily!"

Rose came closer to Cecilia as she gently held her shoulder, gently pulling her back to the approaching Mike. "Take care of her and prepare to go home, I'll handle the rest here." Rose commanded.

"Hello" Rose greeted Lucian as she bowed. She then explained, "The shifting stone was mine... I was careless and he might had secretly took it from me." She then took a deep breath and meekly stared at Lucian as she added, "Years ago, you saved us from a rampaging lesser demon. The battle lasted for a while so you secretly gave my friend a shifting stone to ambush the lesser demon so we could escape. Yet because of the appearance... Of that injured d-demon... we escaped but left you behind..."

"Oh, I remember you" Lucian replied. He then asked, "So where are the others?"

"They... Died. The lesser demon was alive as it chased us... Killing all my friends one by one..." Rose replied as she looked down, her eyes red from sadness. She again explained, "My friend... A Diviner, Agatho, gave me the stone before he died, he told me that I should escape through a rift and use the stone when the time is right. We haven't thanked you... But on behalf of everyone, I Thank you for saving us."

"Sigh..." Lucian sighed, he then said, "I could only save you and myself... The life in that hell is not something any human could withstand. As you saw before you escaped, I almost died fighting an injured demon. Fortunately it did not chase me as I escaped with my life hanging on a thread." He then took a look at the crying Cecilia and explained to Rose, "her brother, the one that smashed my shifting rock. Three days, if he could go deeper in that place in three days he might survive. If not, not counting the entities that resides there, he might not last a day because of the high concentration of mana on the place I was in."

"He is strong and Resilient, he will survive." Rose replied, smiling.

"Very well then. But Considering I'm back home, how did they reach this place? And who created such high level restrictions?" Lucian asked as he held his blue necklace while looking at the dimming barrier.

"I'm not the best person to answer your first question for others had survived here for far longer than I. But for your second question..." Rose took a deep breath and explained, "This world is our mother Earth, the first world that humanity existed. At the brink of extinction, all humans retreated back to earth while waiting for their empending doom. Yet maybe our mother world... Sensed the crisis her children faced, she used all her vitality to erect this barrier to protect us. But at the weakening of the barrier, her vitality weakened for even grasses are unable to thrive."

"Hmm, this world may not even last for long anymore." Lucian said while looking up from far away, "A few days, they'll come." He added.

"Who?" Rose asked, confused.

"Something Dangerous. Unless we restore the restrictions in this world, this will become another hell." Lucian explained.

"We can restore the barrier?" Rose asked with joy.

Lucian looked at the diiming barrier and explained; "Everything requires a source of energy, for powers will not work without their sources mana, or chi. I could only think of one best place where a huge amount of energy could possibly exist, the earth's core."

"Then... There's hope!" Rose replied.

"Bring me some elites that you trust, this will not be an easy journey for the strongest energy attracts the strongest foes." Lucian ordered. "Tomorrow we will depart." He added.

"Yes, thank you. Also this may be late but I'm Rose, Rose Bendrei." Rose introduced herself as she raised her hand for a shake.

Lucian shook her hand and replied, "Lucian... Just Lucian."

Rose smiled warmly and asked Lucian to follow her. Lucian followed Rose to the camp of other humans where they were preparing to go home. Rose introduced Lucian to everyone as they too Introduced themselves while praising, and thanking him.

Rose left as she searched for Cecilia who was on a barren hill a hundred meters away from the camp, she was hugging her knees and crying while looking at the distant red and blue suns.

Rose stopped a few meters away from Cecilia, she apologetically said "Hey... I'm sorry. I was careless and let Jacob use the stone... I should had been the one to use it."

"Mhmm... It's fine, I know my brother. He's too full of righteousness even when we were young. I would be surprised if he didn't think of stealing and using the stone himself the first time you told us about it..." Cecilia looked back to Rose as she tried to smile yet her tears still flowing down on her cheeks.

Rose slowly walked closer to Cecilia as she carrased her hair and told her what Lucian told her about Jacob's current location.

"Your brother... Jacob, he's strong. I know that no matter where he is, he will survive. Let's believe in him and wait for him to comeback to us. So let's all survive till then, shall we?" Rose comforted Cecilia while hugging her.

"Yes! We will wait for the moment that we will unite again." Cecilia stood up and smiled while clenching her fist at the sky.
