*A few minutes later...*
"Thank you so much for the advice!" Jack smiled excitedly at the ideas that were given to him by David.
David smiled wryly, "With your talent, you would've found out about it sooner than later so no worries." he complimented.
"Oh, right! I noticed that for your last attack, there was some sort of fluid on the dagger... what was that?" David zoomed in at the paused video.
"That... I don't know, but I was suddenly able to do it." Jack stared at the screen.
David looked back at Jack, "Then, are you able to show me again?" he asked.
"I... I can try!" he nodded.
He pulled a small dagger from his uniform, closed his eyes and began to focus.
He furrowed his brows, as if he was using a great amount of energy to form something.
*Drip... Sizzle~*
'There it is! Seems like acid... could be poison as well?' David looked at the melting ground.
"You can stop now, I don't want you melting the floor."
David's voice rang into Jack's ear, snapping him out of his focused state.
Jack opened his eyes and looked at the small area of melted ground in front of him.
"Oh shoot..." he muttered.
"Don't worry, I'll fix this."
David stood up, crouched down and touched the liquid. It... was acid, for sure... but for somone who was a whole tier above Jack, it felt quite warm to the touch, soothing even.
[Rank 2 acid: An acid produced from the mana of a tier two being... no special effects.]
"Interesting... I've never seen a human being able to produce acid..." David looked at the message, ignoring its extremely brief explanation.
"Seems like you were made for your class... just work on the stamina and almost everything would be set in place with some guidence on the side." David looked back at Jack.
While they were disscussing more about the ideas to incorperate the acid Jack was able to produce the other two pairs had finally returned for their spar.
David noticed them first, "Oh you guys are finally back! How'd it go for you four?" he asked.
The four who just returned looked at them blankly.
"Umm... what's wrong?" David back up.
"How... did you return so fast? We got a message that you've returned within two minutes!" Feil raised his brow.
"Shhh! It's still early, don't wake people up." David shushed him.
Realizing his mistake, Feil covered his mouth.
"So... could you tell me why you finished your sparring session so fast?" Sam glanced at Fiel then at David.
"Sure. Well, to make it a quick summary, Jackson here... has no stamina, so he basically charged at me a few times and threw some daggers at me before he got too tired to move." David explained.
David naturally left out the acid and the diseased part, although Jack trusts him... this is still a top class academy. Competition is cruel here, so students wouldn't want to reveal their 'stats' so easily.
Jack could read between the lines and glanced at David gratefully.
"Oh right! What about you guys? You definitely took your time... nearly six and a half minutes!" David looked at the clock.
The four began to show their own recording of the fight.
Robert has shown his prowess as a balanced tank, able to sustain decent damage while also being mobile and physically strong.
Though...
Since Robert's sparring partner was Feil, a prince who naturally had some of the best resources in the country, it was safe to say the he got his ass beat. With magic of course, mixed with a bit of swordplay parrying there.
Gil... he seemed to be the magician of the three brothers.
He wasn't able to keep up with Sam, though he could continuously buff himself and enhance himself to keep up with him. He also had some decent staff and hand to hand combat skills, which led him to stall Sam for quite a while as Sam was a guantlet user.
'A guantlet user? Melee is already quite dangerous in this world... maybe because of his financial status... he relied on his hands?' David thought.
"Seems like a decent team... some improvements can be made." David muttered, looking at the recording.
"Mn? Do tell..." Robert and Gil both said at the same time, taking out a small brown notebook.
"Then I'll start with Gil. Your skills in close combat are quite decent, you should work on some more advanced skills like multi-casting. People won't allow you to cast your spells, so it's better to be able to do it even when you're in close combat. Learn some attack spells as well." David commented.
Gil vigouriously nodded, writing in his notebook.
"Robert... there really isn't much to talk about. You're doing quite well, but... in my opinion, you should more on variety and your surroundings. As a tank, you must have skills to attract someone or some creature to you, so that in the future, they won't leave the... aggro area and attack your party members." David stopped for moment so that Robert can catch up with his notes.
"Other skills like a mana shield would greatly increase your defense, and another good skill to have would be a first aid spell, so you can sustain yourself, understand?" David pointed to Robert.
"I understand! But... what does aggro mean?" Robert asked.
"It basically means how provoked someone is. For monsters, there would be a certain area around a tank when they use some skills like taunt. Didn't you learn this already?" Sam ridiculed.
"I... uhhhhh." Robert sulked, trying to melt into his seat.
"Now, now. No need to tease him." David had his hands in front of him.
"Right! David, you wanna spar with me?" Feil looked at David with a bright expression.
'He's oepning up to us... but he's a fighting manic... maybe?' David's smiled stiffened.
He looked at Sam for help, but saw him looking away.
"I mean... sure?" David hesistantly agreed.
"Great! Let's go then! We still have some time left!" Feil grabbed one of David's hands and dragged him to the menu.
Seeing the scene in front of them, both Sam and Robert clapped their hands together, as if praying, 'You'll survive, I think...'
Noticing the action, David didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
