Integrating the Sub-System

David changed some settings on his {Mini-Map}, showing only the house he was currently residing in. Before anything happens he wanted to at least remember the directions around the house first.

The most convenient thing about it was that the {Mini-Map} could also find out secret passages... well it might not show it, but it would at least mark it, making David able to know that it existed.

'I see... seems like they do have something to get to Bennett immediately.' David looked at one of the rooms which had a large magic circle, the same one on Bennett's body.

He looked around his room, it was much nicer than any house he had in his past life. A king-sized bed, a luxuriously carved nightstand table with a blue cloth over it, a large fur carpet in the middle of the room, a large work desk, comfortable leather chairs, a separate bathroom, etc. Although it only had a few more pieces of furniture than the inn he was in, the material quality, overall cleanliness, and vibe is much better than the inn he used to stay in.

There were even some wildlife paintings in his room as if they were requested from Bennett since he did know about him liking the wildlife environment.

David looked under everything, only to see that there were magic circles under most of the piece of furniture here.

'Wait... they didn't know I was coming here... did they?' David was sure that Bennett didn't expect to meet him, so how could Bennett's parents prepare for this?

'Unless. They were going to use this for any guest that came over?' David smiled, going along with whatever plans they had as he wasn't going to betray Bennett for any reason.

"Though, from what I remember, even evolving was painful... I wonder how bad integrating a system that constantly does that would feel. They wouldn't... no, they would." David wanted to go look for Bennett, but he also didn't want to alert the servants or his parents.

Due to the system's message, David could at least sense what going on with Bennett even if they were on the other side of the world. David widened his eyes before closing them, trying to see what was going on...

"It must be that the integration of the system is finally taking effect." He mumbled, before opening the door and come to Bennett's room.

**(Bennett's Room)**

In Bennett's room, it was actually quite simple. A large one-person bed, a balcony, actually most of the things were the same as David's room, but for him, it's more... passionate with the color of red and orange.

On the bed, Bennett was clutching his body, curling up into a small little ball. He was drenched in sweat, clenching his fists on the sheets and biting the sheets to muffle the noise.

Yelling in pain as he felt something forcefully enter his head, it felt like it was tearing him apart as he also began to tremble. He even began to tear up, making his eyes bloodshot as he even started to rip the sheets.

As he was yelling, he felt another pulse run through him, making him clench his teeth as it was also beginning to rip the sheets as well.

Suddenly, the door opened, revealing David. He looked worried with his furrowed brows as he ran up to him.

Bennett was surprised, he was sure that he locked the door and muffled his screams as to not worry those around him.

"Don't worry, I got you..." David reached his hands out and placed them on his back.

Using his exeptional magic control, he began pouring mana to cover Bennett first. With this thin field around him, he could sense... or see what was the problem.

David furrowed his brows, seeing the amount of damage that was happening to his body.

'I need to do this now.' David took a deep breath and got to work.

He constantly poured his mana into Bennett's wounds, fighting of the collateral damage the system was making as it was slowly pumping everywhere through his body. The system itself was too strong and if David wanted to clash with it, he would also suffer, so he began healing all the places where its presence was weakest.

It was very effective, Bennett still felt a large amount of pain, but due to him already suffering from this amount of pain for a few minutes straight, he suddenly felt that this wasn't so bad... Even though the amount of pain he should be feeling now was equal to when one was getting a limb slowly cut off.

Bennett slowly started loosening his grip as the pain was being depleted. It was still there, but much better.

David on the other hand, was now sweating as if he was a normal man, just finishing a marathon in nearly one go. He was panting, and his stature was unstable, as if he was going to collapse.

'Going against... even a sub sytem hurts so much, huh? No... I'm just too weak.' David did know that he only just reached rank 2, so of course he wouldn't be strong against something that most likely even Gods would be fearful of.

He continued to pour the same amount of mana as it was able to slightly repell and heal Bennett's injuries without much damage being reflected onto him.

After an intense 15 minutes of healing, Bennett, who no longer felt pain, patted David's hand, which he responded by collapsing on the bed.

Even though the amount of mana David released was way more than enough for the Vales to notice, due to the sub-system's wish to be undetected, it also hid his aura and mana as well.

"David!" Bennett wooried seeing him collapse and carried the other half of David so that he could lie onto the bed.

Seeing that David was able to sleep peacefully, Bennett sighed in relief, after all, David was his best friend who had also potentially saved his life.

Bennett sat on the side of the bed, looking at what happened around him when an interface appeared in front of him again.
