Chapter 43; Encounter
Kate walked straight out of the bar, convinced that entering the bar alone had been a mistake, as the man had suggested. She headed towards where her car was parked, and as she was about to take her keys, she couldn't find them. She searched and searched in her bag, but they were nowhere to be found.
"Shit... Grr," she muttered, frustration welling up inside her. She couldn't help but think about the misfortune that had befallen her on this night. Now she needed to call for a tow truck to take her car home, and she would have to take a taxi.
It seemed like you might need some help," a voice from behind her said, and when she turned around, it was the handsome man who had come to her aid inside the bar.
