Once they pulled apart, it wasn't long before they were in the car and on their way to the packhouse. She must've fallen asleep on the ride because she doesn't remember reaching the house. One minute she was watching trees pass by and the next she heard little giggles filling the air as a soft voice tried to quiet them.

Nova next came to realize there was a warmth filling her and a weight that was around her waist and across her lap. Her head was pressed into a firm pillow that was surprisingly comfortable. In her semi-awake state, she turned herself into a more comfortable position and pushed her head more into the pillow wanting to fall back asleep. The weight around her inturn tensed, relaxed, and shifted slightly.
