Episode 2- Traversing The Ash

The Calamity, now recognized as the Ashlands. it had been made known that the Ash would completely tear and ravage any and all organic material, both humans and Aragami alike have been killed by the Ash. But Flare wondered to himself as he roamed the Ash filled lands, he watched as both Aragami and humans got consumed by the Ash while he remained unfazed by the Ash no matter how dense it became.

Flare had spent a few days walking through the Ash filled lands making his way to a ruined city where the Ash was somewhat dense as he explored the area, while Flare butchered the few Aragami he encountered he'd feel like someone was nearby and began walking in that direction. As Flare looked around the area he saw two humans with God Arcs training in a small clearing, he watched as a young girl and adult man were training to use their God Arcs. Flare continued to watch until the two stopped training as the young girl complained about being hungry and tired while the man ordered her to stay put, Flare hid as the man left the girl there seemingly going to look for food.

Flare contemplated as he knew humans needed food while he really didn't need it since he lived so long without it, he put on his cloak and hood to hide his appearance before slowly making his way closer to the girl while staying out of sight. Once closer Flare had picked up a small rock and tossed it as the girl's shoulder getting her attention, once the girl looked in his direction he motioned for her to come closer.

The girl slowly walked in Flares direction, a bit hesitant to get closer. "Um, do you need something?" She said as she observed Flare.

Flare slowly nods before getting down on one knee while setting his backpack down in front of him, retrieving all of the food he kept in his backpack before holding it to the girl. "here, you eat food... you need it, more than me..." He said as he put the rest of the food down in front of the girl.

The girl quickly grabbed some food and started to eat quite quickly, softly nodding as the food was still good. "OH uh, sorry for being rude. thank you, and my name is Lulu." She said as she ate and set aside most of the food.

Flare tilted his head, processing the name in his head before pointing at her. "Lulu, I am Flare..." He said as he sat down.

Lulu would smile and nod in response. "Then It's nice to meet you, thank you again for the food." She said as she'd save the rest of it.

In response Flare would nod as he felt the man coming back as he could detect the man's God Arc, he'd point somewhere behind Lulu as the moment she looked away he grabbed his bag and vanished.

By the time Lulu looked back Flare was already gone, getting startled as the man called her name. "Lulu, where did you get all that? I told you to stay right here..." The man said as he scolded Lulu.

Lulu jumped in surprise as she looked back at the man. "Oh, Master Goh. Um someone gave it to me, but he's gone now I guess. I saved most of it for you." She said as she held the food to Goh.

Goh sat down sighing as he grabbed just a few out of the large amount, starting to eat a little. "It's still good huh, we should save it for throughout our mission... Rest until I'm done eating my share, once rested we continue the mission and your training..." He said as he continued to eat, pondering about what kind of person would give up so much food in a place like this.

From a distance Flare had been watching while staying out of sight, softly smiling as he felt that he did something good for them. Soon Flare would start walking away once more, seeing a pure True Lucent Stone and a mostly intact chunk of Damascus Steel before eating the raw material he found. After eating the materials Flare continued walking through the dense Ash, leaving the area continuing to look around in hopes of finding more people.
