Differing Opinions.

Lucian lays in the wagon as it creaks and jumps through the landscape of an unknown city. Lilith and Siegfried dare not look away from him, knowing that this is the fourth time Lucian has courted death in the past 10 years. They whisper prayers in hopes that this will be that last, and whatever illness is plaguing him will subside.

Four hours have passed since the events preceding his first attempt at accumulation. During this time Lucian has been content with resting. Though, now he grows weary of bearing with silence, hearing only the sound of the wagon and bits of conversation among the soldiers for the past hours.

'Pandora.'

'Yes...' She replies weakly.

'I'm not angry. I know you never intended for things to turn out as they did.'

'I'll be fine. It's not the first time I've experienced pain like that.'

Lucian's mind flips to his fight with the bear, and the feeling of his skin searing under the logs during the Spider's ambush.
