Riordan scoffed. “Nope. I wasn’t concerned about that at all. Our love for each other is strong. I don’t like Warren because the magic in his blood is weird, and I can’t tell what supernatural being he is exactly.”
Darby patted Riordan’s hand. “Leave it to me. I’ll do my best to find out. My parents know plenty of people. I’m sure they can help.”
“Okay.”
After that, the three of them changed the topic of conversation. This time around, Dillon shared with Darby about the customers who visited the teahouse. They weren’t as interesting as Darby’s customers, but the werewolf still gave Dillon his full attention. Riordan tried to do the same, but he found it difficult. He couldn’t stop thinking about Warren. He had a horrible feeling about Warren, and he was frustrated because he was unable to pinpoint what the true cause might be. In the end, he gave up. He simply had to wait for new information from Darby before he analyzed the situation further.7
“Ugh! Someone stinks.”
