~~~(Date: January 26th, 2026)~~~
~~~(Location: Penthouse Room, LA)~~~

~~~(Time: 7:15 AM)~~~
My alarm goes off, and I force myself out of bed. I had a hard time falling asleep last night after what happened between Ulysses and me. It's difficult to function when sexual tension is very high. But today is the day we're heading back home.
The light coming from the window helps wake me up. Ulysses is probably already up, and Ellie wouldn't be far behind him. Meaning I'm the last one up.
"The wonderful smell making its way into my room is good evidence of that too..."
Ellie might've made food herself or had some room service delivered. Our flight is around 9:30 AM, so we have time for some food and to relax before we get a move on with everything.
I'm gonna miss LA... But not as much as I thought I would... The Buss family is nice enough to ship all my purchases back to Holden for me. I didn't really think about how to get the clothes and stuff back, but that's been handled.
Ulysses is sitting on the couch with a plate of food, and he smiles brightly at me as I walk by and into the kitchen.
"Hey, Hannah. Would you like some breakfast? We've got a big selection, as you can see."
There are several plates of food that are on silver platers. Most definitely room service, but I'll be honest. I don't think it'll taste as good as Ellie's cooking.
"Yeah... I'll take a plate... Sorry, just woke up, and my mind is clearing up..."
To my dismay, she gives me a knowing smile as she gives me a little of everything. She was my age once and probably had a boy she really liked, just like me.
"Don't stress about it... It'll be fine..."
Her ability to see pretty much everything going on between Ulysses and me isn't something I relish. But at least she isn't handling it like my parents. They don't disapprove of Ulysses, but they don't approve of him either.
Mom says that he's a sweet and kind young man and one going on to great things. And that means there will be a lot of women that will try to use him. Try to wiggle into his life. I'll admit, I really didn't like hearing that.
But she was right. Ulysses wouldn't cheat on me, and I trust him. It's all these other skanks out here that I don't trust.
"You should tell that to my parents, Ellie... My father isn't a fan of Ulysses... No matter what I do, there is nothing I can say or prove that makes him change his mind about Ulysses."
She smiles and takes a plate herself, and we make our way into the living room and sit with Ulysses.
"Don't worry. One day, your dad will have no choice."
Ellie says that to end the conversation, but Ulysses looks between us with nervousness. He raises his eyebrows at me, and all I do is wink at him. He likes it when I do that, and that's why I rarely do it.
"What were you two talking about in there?"
He can't suppress his curiosity. I don't blame him, we were talking about him, and he deserves a right to know what we're talking about.
"We were just discussing something that only ladies talk about, Ulysses. I'm sure that when Hannah is ready, she'll talk to you about it."
Before I can spill the beans, Ellie takes over. Ulysses gives a suspicious look. A long escapes his lips, and he sets his plate on the table in front of the couch.
"Secrets much, you two. Sometimes, women confuse me more than ever before..."
~~~(Location: First Class Seats in the plane, Los Angeles Airport)~~~

~~~(Time: 9:49 AM)~~~
"I don't think I'll ever get used to traveling First Class, Ulysses... It's crazy to think that you're gonna be flying all over America all the time when you make it to the NBA..."
Ellie is starting her sentimental moments, but I don't have anything against it. This flight won't belong, and I'll be happy to be home.
