~~~(POV: Ulysses Kennedy)~~~
~~~(Date: May 10th, 2026)~~~

~~~(Location: Getting Out of Bed, Holden, Oregon)~~~
~~~(Time: 5:50 AM)~~~

These past 4 months have been crazy, and I pretty much visited every single team in the NBA. The top 14 picks in this year's NBA draft will be decided on the 17th of this month, and everyone will see who really gets the First Pick in the draft.

"C'mon, Ulysses! Today is Graduation and the next step in your life!!"

Before I can pull myself out of bed, I hear Ellie. Which is strange cause she's usually never up this early. But I wouldn't put it past her since today is a special day for most kids.

Two days from now is Hannah's 18th birthday too, and we'll both be legal adults. I've already lived over 60 years at this point, and I'm only 18 this time around... Time flies when you're having fun.

"Be down in a minute, Mom!"

It's taken some time, but I've gotten used to calling Ellie, my mom in this life... It's something I didn't do in my last life... Another thing I regretted.

There is something I'd like to check, and I haven't looked at my stats within The Prodigous Basketball System in a while. Ever since my team died, I've been utilizing the training space.

My dribbling Skill has gone up an entire grade from A to S. It was one of the main things I focused on when I was in the Training Space provided by the system. My rebounding has also gone from an A to an A+.

While this may not seem like a lot of progress, I've practiced all the drills I can think of regarding dribbling and Rebounding every day in the Simulation Space. It's a bit harder since you don't progress as fast when using the Simulation Space.

"I've made the rare and delicious bacon breakfast extravaganza! Today is the day my little kid has finally reached the end of his school life!!"

Ellie is way more excited about this than I am, and I don't blame her. She's done a great job and made a lot of sacrifices for me. When I get my NBA money, she's the first person I'm buying for. And she's getting a house in the hometown where I'm drafted.

"Don't be too loud... You'll wake up the neighbors before the sun gets up..."

She can't help beaming a smile at me as she lays a plate down in front of me. It's as she's said. It's a bacon breakfast extravaganza.

"Do you have an inkling to where you'll be drafted when the NBA names which teams get which picks? Cause I've been doing research and the Knicks have the best odds, but they're followed closely by the Lakers and the Pacers."

Her guess would be as good as mine. There is only a .2 percent difference between the top 3 picks this year, and it's been kind of funny.

"I think the Knicks might get the First Pick, but I couldn't say for sure. I'm more worried about what I'm getting Hannah for her 18th birthday. I don't have any money."

My agent, James Monroe, has been advising me on what I need to prepare for, and it's going to be a major shift in lifestyle. While rookies don't get paid much, I'm getting a guaranteed 24.5 million, and that number boggles my mind.

"Don't worry. I think you just spending time with her will make her day. You've both been so busy, that you only see each other at school and on Sundays. Being broke high schoolers is nothing to worry about. Not what's in store for your future."

I'm missing Hannah bad, and the few moments we get to each other every day isn't enough, in my opinion.

"Thanks for the breakfast, Mom. I'm going to the park after I'm done eating. I want to get some shots up."

She rolls her eyes with a smile as she's back in the kitchen. I'm gonna make sure that she's got someone to cook for her instead of always making the meals.
