Mr Craine Is Getting Engaged

BRIANNA'S P. O. V

I have been feeling down lately. I have been trying to contact Mr Craine but it's not connecting. I can't get him out of my mind. I can't concentrate on studies and I don't feel like doing anything. I confronted Max regarding what the girls I met the other day said. He denied dating another woman. I miss Mr Craine so much. I have come to realise that my life is a mess and it will be a miserable if I don't have him in my life. I can't sleep because I keep thinking about Ivana and him.

I dragged myself to lectures and though I couldn't concentrate, I attended every lecture

Finally the day ended and I was on my way to my hostel. I bumped into the girls again.

"Hey bitch" one said

I ignored her and walked away.

They kept following me and I kept ignoring them and started running. They started running after me.

"Mr Craine where are you? Please help me" I said to myself

One caught me and pushed me down. One had a bottle in her hand

"You won't be able to sleep with other men if you don't have a pretty face" she said

She opened the bottle and was about to pour it on me when someone pulled me away and threw something like a blanket on the girl. Whatever in the bottle poured out and it started burning.

"Oh my goodness what is this" I asked myself

I turned around and it was my bodyguard. Tears started flowing from my eyes. I saw other men coming towards us. The men took the girls away.

"Ma'am are you okay" my bodyguard asked

"Yes I am" I replied with tears

"Ma'am please let's go" he said

I nodded

"Please take me to Mr Craine" I said

"Alright ma'am. Come with me" he said

He took me to a car, opened the door for me and drove away.

We got to Mr Craine's house in thirty minutes. I quickly got out and run inside. There were lots of people there.

"What is going on here" I asked myself

I started walking ahead

The people were dressed so beautifully. It was like a happy occasion. I bumped into a waitor.

"Please what is going on here" I asked

"It's an engagement ceremony ma'am" she said

"Please whose engagement is it" I asked nervously

"It's Mr Craine's" he replied

"O-o-k-ay t-t-t-thanks" I replied

I went ahead nervously. I entered the house. Everyone looked so happy. I started looking around. I couldn't believe this. I saw Mr Craine he was chatting with Ivana the music artist. They surely looked like a happy couple

"Oh my goodness Mr Craine is indeed getting engaged" I said to myself

I quickly run out of the house. I run until I got tired. I realised that I was far away from Mr Craine's house. I sat on a bench by the roadside. I sat there for a while and took a cab home. I hugged my mum as soon as I saw her. I started crying

"Anna what is going on? Why are you crying dear" she asked

"It's too late. I have lost him. The moment I realised that I want him in my life, I lost him" I said

I cried unconsolably

"Anna what are you talking about" mum asked

I didn't reply. She asked again

"Mum Mr Craine is getting engaged" I finally said

"Anna what has that got to do with you current state" she asked

"Mum I have fallen in love with Mr Craine" I admitted

"What! Brianna Bennett are you crazy? Do you realised that he is old enough to be your father" she shouted

I remained silent. I got up and went to my room. I locked my door. I cried the whole night.
