I have been trying to contact Miss Bennett for sometime now but for some reason I don't get to her. I contacted the principal a few days ago and she told me Brianna has not been attending lectures. I contacted her bodyguard and he told me about the attack on the Brianna so I sent some more bodyguards for her. I have been worried about her not attending lectures but I have been busy too.

"I have to visit her once I am free" I said to myself

Andrew's engagement is in a few days and preparations are going on.

"Excuse me sir" my butler said after entering my office

"what is it" I asked

"Sir please your children are here" he said

"Oh wow, I will be out shortly" I said happily

I went out soon and saw my sons and daughters

"Dad!" My daughter Ariana shouted

My kids run and hugged me

"How are you everyone" I said excitedly

"We are fine Dad" Patrick said

"It's so good to be home Dad" Kathy said

"I miss you all so much" I said

"We miss you too Dad" Ariana said

"Alright everyone please go to your rooms and get ready for dinner" Andrew said

An hour later, I was sitting in my big dinning room with my children. It's been a while I had a full house.

"Dad what have you been up to" Patrick asked

"Nothing just work" I replied

"Dad you look worried. What is going on? Are there problems at work" Ariana asked

"Come on Ari you know Dad is a super hero when it comes to work matters. I don't think it's that" Patrick said.

"Dad are you still thinking about that middle class girl" Andrew said sarcastically

"Andrew!" I shouted

"Whom are you talking about" Patrick asked

"Patrick bro your father has fallen in love" Andrew said

"Really! With who? Who is she" Ariana said

I could sense her excitement

"Ari don't be too excited. You will be disappoint when you get to know who the lady is" Andrew said with a smirk

"Who has my Emperor fallen in love with" someone asked and the voice sounded familiar. I raised my head and the rest turned. It was Ivana

"Iva!" Everyone shouted and went to hug her

She walked up to me

"Good evening your majesty" she said with a smile

"Good evening baby" I responded excitedly

I hugged her happily

"I miss you baby" I said

"I miss you your majesty" she said

We broke the hug after a while

"Now tell me Andrew who has my father fallen in love with" Ivana asked

"Iva dear it's not important now" I said

"Our amazing Emperor is s in love with his former secretary" Andrew said

Everyone gasped

"Dad really" Patrick said

"How is she like" Ariana asked excitedly

"Don't get too excited sis. You will be disappointed if you get to who she is" Andrew said

"Andrew please stop it" I said

I was getting angry because of the way Andrew was talking about Brianna

"Dad why are you getting so defensive" Ariana asked

"I am not dear. I just don't like Andrew's tone of voice" I said

"Please let's get back to eating. I'm hungry" August finally spoke

Everyone sat down and we started eating

"Let me announce to you all that our super hero Dad is in love with a woman who is young enough to be his daughter (I choked on my food as soon as Andrew said this). She is young enough to be our little sister and she is also a middle class girl. Dad is paying for her education" Andrew said

I bowed my head in disbelief. I can't believe what Andrew just did. All eyes fell on me

"Dad what is Andrew saying" Ariana asked

"Dad please say something" Ivana said impatiently

I sat there quietly. After a while I decided to talk

"Yes it's true. I am in love with a young lady who is young enough to be my daughter but she is not my daughter. I love her and there is nothing I or you can do about it" I said

"Dad, you are shamelessly talking like this in front of us your children" Andrew said

"Andrew! I have had enough of this" I said and left the dinning room

I went to my room. I tried calling Brianna again but she wasn't picking my calls. I felt something in my eyes. I realised that I was crying. I have never loved a woman like the way l love Brianna. I can't control my feelings anymore. What hurt is that I can't get support from my children. I fell in love years ago. My relationship ended because I was poor back then. Today I have everything but I can't have the woman I love. I have never been this emotional.

My door opened. I raised my head and saw Ivana walk in.

"Dad! Sorry" she said

I said nothing. I got up and went to the washroom. I stayed there for a while. When I came out Ivana was gone. I went to bed.

I woke up a bit late the next morning. I got ready to start the day. I came out of my room. I met the butler and asked where my kids are. He told me they are in the second living room. I went there and was about to walked in when I heard them shouting

"Andrew if Dad loves this girl, we should accept and support him" Patrick said

"I agree with Patrick" Kathy said

"Kathy when elders are talking keep quiet" Andrew shouted

"Andrew please tell us why you don't want to accept her" Patrick asked

Andrew was silent

"Andy Dad has always been there for us. I don't think that will change even if he gets married. Dad has to live his own life. He has always lived for us. We are grown ups now. Thanks to Dad we have everything" Ivana said

"You still don't understand. Dad will forget us once he starts having his biological kids. Don't forget we are his adopted children" Andrew said

"Exactly Andrew, this is one of the reasons why we should support dad's happiness. Dad has done a lot for us. We are who we are because of him Andrew" Patrick said

Everyone was silent so I turned to leave just then I heard Andrew's voice

"What about his Empire" he said

I turned a walked nearer

"Andy what do you mean" Patrick asked

"Patrick don't you get it? I am not against Dad fallen in love but I am against him fallen in love with a young girl. If Dad gets to be with a young woman, the probability of her given Dad children will be high. This means that Dad will make his biological children his heir and we will get nothing" Andrew said

"What! So Andrew is doing this not because of my he butcares for me but because of my Empire" I said to myself unbelievably

"Andy you are so selfish. I thought you were worried about Dad. You are just worried about his Empire. He built it himself. He has even gone as far as help you build your company. You can make it on your own now without his help" Ariana said

I left there because I didn't want to hear anymore.

Today is Andrew's engagement. I still haven't faced them after I heard their conversation. I still pretended to be alright. Someone knocked my door.

"Come in" I said

"Greetings your majesty" Ivana said

I turned around and she hugged me

"How are you" I asked

"Dad I'm fine" she said

I continued dressing

"Dad the guests are here please let's go" she said

We walked out of my room and made our way to the biggest Hall in my house. We walked hand in hand. I started greeting the guests.

Andrew's girlfriend and family arrived and as usual her aunt started hitting on me but I managed to ignore her.

The engagement ceremony soon started. Andrew placed a ring on his woman's finger. The couple had their dance. Soon the engagement was over and people started eating. Ivana and I socialised for a while. I returned to my room shortly.

It's been three days after the engagement and I was pretending not to have heard the conversation between my adopted children. I have been searching for Brianna's where about too. My personal bodyguard walked in and said he wanted to talk

"What is it" I asked

"Sir please on the day of Mr Craine's engagement, I saw Miss Bennett (I got up from my seat) she looked worried and she quickly run out shortly after entering" he said

"Why didn't you tell me" I asked impatiently

"Sorry sir I wanted to confirm if she was really the person" he said

I quickly called her bodyguard. According to her bodyguard she was at home and hasn't come out for three days.

I quickly took my car keys and run out

"Dad where are you going" Ariana shouted but I didn't bother talking to her.

I got into my car and drove as fast as I could.
