Auxiliary chapter: The World as We (do not) know

World

- The world is Earth as we know it but the history happens in the year of 3802.

- The technology in here is advanced enough that the use of cellphones and other hardwares are rarely seen due to cybernetic implants not only augment physical capabilities but also allow the user to connect with the Nexus net.

- Mana arrived in the world around 2050 and since then order flipped upside down and chaos ensued.

- Nowadays, companies domain all the economic, military, scientific, health, security, and state sector.

- This world was devasted due to a war that happened around 2100 and this war involved all races living on Earth, the result was a complete disaster that made the world turn into a more barren land with few places still have greenery and habitable conditions. However, as we are in the year of 3802 now, the world is filled with forests, nature and several new places unknown to people. Imagine something like: in the China Federation (or New China), there are only Beijing, Hong Kong, Xangai, Pequim, Nanquim, Shenzen and some other cities are the only ones that are standing and all around them is nature filled with monsters (animals evolved), it's something close to a cyberpunk mixed with a light biopunk (not much though).

Geopolitics

- The main countries or potencies in this world are: Japan, China Federation, America, S.S.A (Separated States of America, the previous USA), African Association and Antarctic Continent (which was recognized as a country, yes, one of the size of a continent, but a country nonetheless.)

- S.S.A: The Separated States of America was named as such because after it was taken by one of the Akashic Beasts, the beast thought it would be ironic and funny to rename as such and thus it did exactly as it. It also receives this name due to the type of government chosen, that is: anarchy or more like anarcho-capitalism since money is still used commonly and as a sign of power in there. The states in S.S.A are in constant war against each other.

- African Association: It's the African continent but equipped with more advanced technology. You can imagine it being the motherland of our eternal king.

- The Antarctic continent are small colonies connected between themselves that are under a "free domain", there no big player can flex as freely as they do in the outside world. It's a neutral territory and somewhere where people dream to live on.

- For those who have played or read something from the Shadow's saga, you should know already about the mega-corporations and such. In the same sense in this novel, the government is a façade in this world, the ones who call the shots are the owners of the mega-corporations.

- Enmities:

China Federation x African Association

S.S.A x Japan

America and Antarctic Continent is neutral.

Akashic Beasts

The Akashic beasts are based on Shadowrun's dragons, the owners of the mega-corporations (I don't remember if all of them were owned by dragons but that is beside the point).

Akashic beasts are nothing more than our mythical creatures. Creatures such as dragons, phoenixes, quilins, wind tigers, giant birds and more. They are extremely powerful beings in the combat field since they are the manifestation of one or more concept(s). For example, phoenixes manifest the concept of fire, purity and loyalty.

They are the owners of the mega-corporations in this world and generally their moves cause ripples through the whole world, so they are the true big shots no matter the where on Earth one go.

Each mega-corporation has its own area of actuation and physical territory.

Ex: Hong Kong is part of the phoenix's territory.
