It incensed Uthred on how his kind does battle. They would charge toward the enemy like mad dogs, engaged in melee, and then that's it, no strategy at all, simple but sometimes effective, but when you constantly do it, they know how to counter.
He soon joined the chaotic melee scoring his first kill in the battle; he hacked at his enemies with all his strength and overpowered them with raw strength sometimes; he would even tackle them with his shield or slam them with an overhead strike with it and kick them away with his massive foot.
The battle progressed in utter chaos, with every orc for himself, no formation at all, while their enemies confronted them in groups, trapping them with their shields and stabbing them with spears or swords while they trapped them.
RECAP OVER
—-------------------------------------
Uthred took a brief look at the battlefield, and the enemy cavalry was charging through their flanks again like in the previous battles, cutting down and trampling every orc in their path.
The battle lasted for hours in favor of the enemy. Uthred was preparing himself for the inevitable defeat of the Orcs and was inching back from the center of the battle.
The enemy mages soon began their assault after their arrival, bombarding them with spells. The orcs soon found themselves in a very tough and particular situation as they were being shot with spells and arrows and squashed by the enemy infantry in front and the enemy cavalry from the flanks.
The orc commander was quickly surrounded and beheaded after charging mindlessly deep into the enemy ranks. Uthred didn't know if it was common for orc commanders or was just some coincidence.
He took part in two battles before, and the same thing happened thrice. Their commander mindlessly charged forward, got surrounded, and then killed.
The orc's number soon dwindled, and the unavoidable retreat happened. Uhtred, being away from the center of the battle, ran away quickly as soon as he saw his kind retreat.
He used the spell Evictori which increased his running speed, which he bought from the system store for a total of 1500 points. He wouldn't want to be killed by the pursuing calvary like most of his retreating kin.
He saw the towering trees ahead and charged in a mad sprint like a predator chasing his prey; he knew that the enemy cavalry wouldn't risk pursuing them in the forest in great numbers, for the vegetation of the forest would hinder their mobility and they wouldn't want to go toe to toe with an orc alone for it has been tested many times that only a few men can stand against them in a one-on-one battle.
Crawling inside a thick tree stump that was hollow inside, Uthred sighed in relief as he escaped. He cared little about his kin. Every orc was on his own, survival of the fittest.
He checked his missions.

Uthred smiled in satisfaction and ignored that he had failed the mission since he had no high expectations for it to be completed. Suddenly two new tasks appeared.
New Mission
[Gather the Surviving Orcs]
(The higher number of orcs gathered, the higher the reward)
[Establish A Clan]
(The higher number of Orcs that join, the better reward)
Uthred stared at the new missions and was considering if he should do them or let them fail since there was no penalty for dying, unlike the missions he had given.

[Congratulations for completing 3 out of 4 of your missions Elesin Slate is unlocked. It's now in your new acquired tab [Invetory] ]
Suddenly Quick and rapid heavy steps sounded near him as he saw two orcs trying to outrun two enemy cavalry knights, the first orc was skinny and short for an orc barely 6ft tall, and the other one was rather tall for an orc standing at 7ft 1 he was big and robust holding a wooden log.
Both of their bodies were littered with wounds. They soon tripped on a thick root of a tree.
(A/N, as for what the mc looks like, ill put a pic in the comments)
With no second thought, Uthred threw his sword at the first rider killing him, and he rammed the following rider's horse with his shield. He exerted strength and successfully toppled the speeding horse from the right, sending the poor rider into the air.
Crashing down hard, the rider gasped for air as the impact knocked the wind out of his lungs and his horse neighing in pain as one of its legs got broken after Uthreds tackle.
Running forward quickly, Uthred choked the rider with his large hands and muscle-ridden arms, suffocating him. The rider soon thrashed and tried to break free from Uthreds grip, his thick arms preventing him from doing so. His face turned purple with his eyes growing increasingly large and red, his eyes pleading for mercy, but Uthred ignored it all. He just gripped the rider's throat firmly and applied more force until the sound of a neck being broken sound.
Uthred loosened his grip and left the rider, picking up the spear the rider wielded. He broke the rider's neck but felt no remorse; after seeing his kin slain with no mercy, he had gotten used to taking lives since being on the battlefield.
He thrust the spear towards the neighing horse, thrashing around wildly, but Uthred pulled out the spear and thrust it forward until the horse stopped moving.
He stared at the skinny orc and the big one he had just saved. With his threatening aura, the skinny and big orc bowed down, followed by a system prompt.
[Congratulations on acquiring your first two subordinates!]
[unlocking Commander's Function]
[Unlocking Army Tab]
Uthred was surprised but soon felt elated. He now had someone under him. He commanded The Orcs to loot the bodies of anything useful as he checked out the system's new function.
