Bai Pu's slender figure disappeared into the light.

Not long after the apartment door closed, another hand pushed open the heavy glass door. The hands were rough with calluses, and the skin was dark, indicating hard labor. The man was wearing a hooded jacket with a bucket hat underneath, his head slightly lowered, concealing his features.

Once inside the building, he glanced around and quickly found the elevator. One of the elevators was in operation, with the numbers going up until it stopped at the eleventh floor. After confirming, the man quickly pressed the button for the adjacent idle elevator and stepped inside with a brisk pace.

Shortly after the elevator doors closed, Bai Pu quietly emerged from the nearby fire escape. She glanced in the direction the man had gone, worried that he might sense something amiss, and hurriedly walked away.

With every step, Bai Pu looked back three times. Just as she stepped out of the building, she suddenly collided with someone.
