Chapter 23

After another month of travel, Vox arrived at his remote island. As he landed at the beach, he was surprised to see it empty. he walked towards the mansion that could be seen in the distant, when he got closer he heard many sounds of guns, swords and everything from the training Area.

He has been gone for almost a year, so when he saw the kids growing up and hitting puberty, he was shocked. 'These girls will give me so much trouble with boys... Is this how a father feels when their daughter grows up?' Shaking his head he quietly walked behind Alan who was practicing his martial arts... which were fairly lacking.

Taking out Karate Man and Masaki, the legendary swordsman. With a flash of light both of them came to be. The flash made it known that he was back.

"Ahhh big brother Vox!" Lena was the first to sprint towards him with insane speed. Looking at her, she truly is growing to be one fine beauty. 'How many hearts will she break? Vox thought to himself.

"Hello there kiddo." Vox smiled and accepted the tackle Lena delivered him.

"I missed you so much." She put her head in his chest and stayed like that for multiple minutes, making it awkward for the others to join in.

"Lena, how about giving your brothers and sisters space as well?" Vox patted her back and she distanced herself blushing fiercely.

"Brother Vox!" The others jumped at him and threw him on the ground.

"Alright alright, get of me now, I have presents!" Vox smiled seeing their reaction. After they got off, Vox looked at all of them here, even Ina was there and she should be only 8.

"Oke, first a gift for everyone together" Vox smiled and pointed at the 2 new summons. "These 2 are are Karate Man and Masaki, both of which will be new trainers here. Masaki is a master swordsman, his style is better to use for the boys while Forma can teach the girls. but I won't judge, pick whoever you want to be your teacher." He then took out 1 more card and summoned Mystic Elf.

"She will be a healer, so if you are wounded go to her, her name is Mystic Elf. Aside from that, at the end of each day, all of you are to go tk her for check ups." Vox was very happy having Mystic Elf, at the start he didn't know much about her and was planning to tribute her for a stronger monster. But when he saw her heal, he was very pleased. 'With her healing them every day, they will grow faster and without trouble.' Vox thought then opened the System Menu which he hasn't done in some time.

Looking at the Availabkd members made him pleased. He very much expected Lena, she is 15 years old now and her crush on him is obvious for all to see. Kahn was someone who cared a lot for him family and it was not a surprise that he also had absolute loyalty towards Vox. But Samuel and Erik surprised him quite a bit.

'Is it because of Psy? but then why did Erik arrive there?' not bothering with it anymore Vox added all 4 of them to the guild. As he was about to give them some monster cards a screen appeared.

'Oh.. so they need to get points and then... why is this so complicated.' Vox shook his head, so it worked like a merchant, he would supply the cards and take the points they earn.

Deciding to let that be for now, Vox took his backpack and put his hand through it. The first thing that came out was a Katana, he looked at Lena and threw it at her. It was not a named blade, but it would do well for her to practice it. As to why he thinks she would be a great swordswoman with a katana? he didn't.

It is just that everything was better than whatever the hell the weapon she was using is. It looked like a legendary weapon from those RPG's that are so inconvenient and heavy. Ignoring her blushing face and star like eyes as she looked at him, then the sword and back at him, just to look back at the sword like it was her baby.

He put his hand back into backpack and took out a longer sniper rifle. As an American in his past life, he often went to the shooting range with his friends and would try out different kinds of weapons. His favourite one were the bolt action sniper rifles, but sadly they didn't have that her. So when he was going to Skypiea, he heard about a fairly famous blacksmith and had him make this for Erik. It was a Kar98 with some differences due to technology, so it was not as powerful, but it was still one of the best snipers that exist. He also gave 200 rounds to him for his use.

Ignoring Erik's lovestruck expression as he caressed the sniper rifle, Vox took another thing out of the back. It was a pair of gauntlets he had made for Wendy. Though not the best, better than what you can find in normal shops.

He then gave each and everyone of them some type of weapon. Alan got pair of gauntlets as well, Kahn got himself a a rapier, his small build and speed will make it good for him. Wright got a specially made Whip and private lessons with Curran, It was Curran who told the blacksmith what kind of whip she wanted, the only difference was that Wrights whip was white in color.

Sam got a cooking book, she was a lover of food and would always be in the kitchen with Psy and Samuel.

Samuel himself got the best gift, which Vox kept as a surprise for him. Only Lucy didn't get anything. But he smiled and called Night Wing over.

"Welcome home, Master." Night Wing gave a bow.

"Night Wing, did you get any of those fruits I asked about?" Vox asked somewhat expectant. He hoped to have so fruits he can give the kids. He himself found 2 on his way back. Everytime he would stop at an island and spend the night with a local, his monsters would be searching the wilds for some fruits. He doesn't know the fruits, but one of them was looking Like a zoan while the other seemed to be a paramicia fruit.

"We found 1 fruit in our search master." She then looked at one of the hounds and the hound rushed inside the mansion. A few moments later it came back with a fruit in its mouth. Vox's heart almost exploded seeing that.

But after checking the fruit, he sighed in relief as it was not damaged.

"Lucy, come here." Vox looked at lucy who had a sword at her waist. She went next to him somewhat nervous. Everyone got a weapon, but she is getting a fruit? and it looked like the fruit that hard head ate. 'Will I also start to become Hard?' Lucy thought to herself as she stood in front of Vox.

"These 3 fruits are called Devil fruits, depending on what fruit you eat, it will give you different powers. Do remember if you eat one, it will give you the weakness to still bodies of water, like the ocean, lakes and even baths." Vox also looked at the other kids "If any of you wants to eat a devil fruit do come forward." After some time, Alan and Wendy came forward.

'Naturally it is better to have a special power if you don't want to use a weapon.' Both Alan and Wendy were brawlers, they fought with their bodies. Although with Karate Man now here they should get better. It is not a bad idea to add a power into it. who knows, it might be like Samuel's power Hard Hard fruit and make them even stronger then they would be without it.

After waiting for Lucy to decide. Each one of them picked up one fruit and bit on it.

"Bleeerggg!"

"Baagghhh"

"Nwwuuuuu"

"Ahhahahaha!" Vox started laughing seeing their reaction, the other kids also started laughing afterwards, especially Samuel and Psy, who both had tasted it before. Even the mature Night Wing was chuckling to herself.
