Chapter 17

In Birka, Enel sat at the outer forest of the island looking forward at the white sea. It was already night when Enel decided to leave. After a few hours of walking it was already midnight.

In front of Enel was a shabby wooden house, outside, an old woman was looking around anxiously. When the woman saw Enel, she ran towards him.

"Son, where were you, I was worried." She said as she cupped his face in her hands.

"I am fine mom, just had something on my head and wanted to think about it." he said as he hugged her. "You should not be out this late, it is not good for your body."

"Then don't make me worried, I thought something happened to you."

"Let's go inside, I have kept some leftovers for you." Enel's mother said as she softly pulled him with her inside.

Inside, the house looked run down, old and on the brink of collapse. On the table was a plate full of cooked rice and a bowl of soup beside it. Enel sat at the table and started eating.

"It must be cold, let me warm it for you." Enel's mother started to pick the plate and bowl but was stopped by Enel.

"It is perfect, thanks for the food." Enel smiled as he ate cold food.

Inside a reasonably big house in Birka, a man was eating with a woman and 2 children.

"Honey, the wench's son was causing trouble again. Why don't you just kill him!?" The woman said as she looked at her husband.

"I had already made a promise with that slut, if her son does not endanger the citizens, I will do nothing about him."

"But what if people find out that he is y-"

"Watch your tongue!" The man looked at the woman in anger. "These 2 are my only children." he said as he looked at the 2 girls eating quietly.

That man was also known by the people of Birka as 'God'

Time passed by as Vox kept silently tailing Enel, on the second month of his tailing operation, he finally found results.

When Enel was walking in the inner island, someone stabbed him with a knife and as self-defense, he stabbed the man back(Enel logic).

"Finally, now my husband will not break his promise and you and that wench will die." The woman smiled as she saw the guards chasing Enel.

Vox knew that it was time, and if he was not mistaken, then his mother would die as well now. 'Can't let that happen.' he thought and one card appeared in his hand. It was Nanobreaker. Running behind Enel and the guards chasing him, they soon found themselves in the outer island again. Once there Vox summoned Nanobreaker behind some thick trees to hide the flash of light. Once she was out, Vox spoke to her like at the fast part of rap god.

"Go in that direction until you find a shabby looking house, Make sure no one hurts the woman living there!" Before Nanobreaker could even reply Vox was already gone. Seeing how her master was in a hurry, she also ran at full speed in the direction she was pointed to.

Enel was being shot by arrows and he barely dodged a few of them. after running for a few hours he was getting tired, he had lost too much blood, looking behind he saw no one. he leaned against a tree to catch his breath. looking at the cloth he used to push against the stab wound, it was died completely red from it's original white.

'Woosh!'

"ARGH" Enel screamed, an arrow hit him in the shoulder, stumbling back on his feet, he ran again.

"Don't let him escape!" Voices sounded behind, the longer he ran, the closer the voices became and the more dangerous the arrows would be. 'I need to hide, but where!' Looking around as he ran, his eyes caught a remote location that had a very small split in the ground near a tree. Enough for a child to pass through, but not for him. But that did not stop him. He looked behind and saw no one, he ran towards the split and hit it with all the remaining power of his body widen the edges a bit, which he managed to do and he managed to fit inside.

"Find him! if he is not dead, Goddess will have our heads!"

"Split up! Search for the whole island!"

Hiding inside the split, Enel could hear the guard's voices. looking inside the hole he managed to fit through, he saw at the was full of crystals that gave off light, now and then a small arc of lightning would be exchanged between the crystals. Captivated by its beauty, Enel walked deeper inside. The more he walked in, the wide the cave became, and the more crystals were hanging from the walls. Feeling his eyes closing, Enel put some dirt from the ground on his stab wound and arrow wound, with the arrow still sticking out. then he leaned against the wall of the cave and fell unconscious.

Outside, Vox saw the split and he fit himself in, once he saw the crystals and the lightning the gave off, he knew he was in the right place. Walking inside, he saw Enel unconscious. leaving him be, he walked deeper in the cave.

after around 10 minutes of walking, he came across an open space that was lit up by the crystals. there was a small lake in the middle with a tree growing from it, and on that tree was a fruit. The fruit was in the shape of of pineapple, but a bit more round. each one of the 'petals' had it devil fruit lines on them and were blue in color. At the top of the fruit it was white in the shape of a lightning bolt.

"Finally, Rumble Rumble Fruit!" Vox smiled as he swam towards the tree. He plucked the fruit and instantly bit it. He is not worried that it is not the fruit he wants, if it really is not the rumble rumble fruit, then that only means it was not fated to be for him.

"Blreegh, Is the taste supposed a deterrent? so bad." after eating a bite, he threw the rest of the fruit away. Which was slowly transforming back, it would take a few days though.

"Let's see what I can do." Closing his eyes, Vox focused on this nagging feeling that he could do things he could not before. After a few minutes his eyes shot open and he transformed into an arc of lightning and disappeared from where he stood.

"Whaaa! so cool!" Then Vox went in to move around at the speed of lightning for the next hour. As a reader of One Piece, he always felt that Oda did not do this fruit justice. This fruit was not like the Light Light Fruit, this fruit improves the body's reaction time as a side effect and the speed is not linear like the Light Light Fruit. Which makes it much more Versatile in battle. Enel was clueless about the applications but Vox was not.

"With this, even if I were to walk the path of swordsmanship and Haki, I can incorporate the fruits powers into it and be the fastest and most dangerous swordsman. My only weakness is my talent in body training. But I have more than 8 years left to improve before all hell breaks lose." Smiling in satisfaction, Vox zapped towards where Enel was.

'Now, what to do with Enel..' He thought to himself before taking out the fruit with him from his back. "By it's shape, it is definitely not Zoan, but it could be a Logia or a Paramicia. Let's see if his luck is still good." Vox smiled and sat there waiting for Enel to wake up.
