(9) dark duelist Lilith vs Jonah finale

(Jonah pov)

After destroying both of Lilith's fusion monsters a full minute passed before she speaks.

"Ill place one monster facedown and one card facedown…it's your move." She said at what was barely a whisper.

(Jonah,something feels off about her now.)

Bruno who has been part of the mafia for a long time has always had a good instinct with people,so when he says something was off,it always is.

Jonah understood what Bruno meant,the air around Lilith was just faint with dueling spirit,but now it's amplified big time.

(Dueling spirit will be the same as fighting spirit,not duel spirit like kuriboh)

"I draw" I say as I try and figure out what Lilith was planning,I look at my hand,I still had nerancha and lil bomber,as well as red wine mishap,but those couldn't prepare me for what I was about to face,so I look at the card.

"Huh,so I managed to get you huh?" I mutter to myself staring at pot of greed.

"I'll begin by activating pot of greed,but I don't have to explain to you what it does,because seriously,everyone I've met explains what it does." I say to Lilith as I draw two new cards.

I look at see double summon and graceful charity,"then I'll activate graceful charity,I'll draw three cards and discard two of them.

I look at the three drawn cards,"dio's zombie army,DIO and the world…yeah I can see that working." I think to myself as I begin my plan of attack.

I'll start by activating the spell double summon,the card is pretty self explanatory,so ill tribute my notorious chase and summon stand user-DIO Brando."

Soon the particles of notorious chase was rearranging themselves until a blond muscular man in a yellow and black outfit was in front of me,as Lilith looks at the new monster with a little frustration,'dammit! I had the perfect monster to deal with that blob of ground beef!'

"About time you summoned me Jonah,I was getting bored waiting."

DIO was wanting to fight in the previous duel,but he didn't at the time,and he was raring to go.

Nodding at what DIO said i continue my main phase. " next I'll summon stand user nerancha onto my field!"

I place nerancha onto the field as he manifests he is smiling,"damn,she really is a looker up close!" He says as he looks at Lilith," would you not perv out nerancha? We've still got a duel to win."

"Oh right sorry Jonah!" Nerancha says as I still continue,"next I'll activate both effects of DIO and nerancha! When I have stand-the world as well as stand-lil bomber in my hand while their respective stand users are on the field I am special summon them while the stand users give their effects to their stands."

As both DIO and nerancha walk to the spell and trap zone their stands manifest,with a small airplane in front of nerancha mad a full humanoid figure the world appearing in front of DIO.

"Now lil bomber! Attack that facedown!"

"Got it Jonah! Lil bomber ,shoot down that hiding stronzo!!"

*mmeeerrm*

Lil bomber starts flying high as it reaches the facedown card ,revealing a woman in a tight black leather outfit and a knife in hand.

As it gets destroyed I hear Lilith speak,"the effect of D.D warrior lady states that any monster that fights it will be banished as well as D.D warrior lady!"

Suddenly nerancha was turned to light and disappeared as well,leaving only DIO and myself.

"Alright then,the world! Attack her directly!"

"Yes! Time to show her the true power of THE WOOOOORRRLD!!!!"

*Bmmmmmrrzt*

As the world attacked the world stops,nobody was able to move except DIO,and surprisingly Jonah.

And faster than Jonah could react the world begins his attack

"MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA !!!!"

As as his attack ends time resumes.

Suddenly Lilith flew off the podium of the terminal with a scream,it seems that the attack of the world caused a shockwave,while it didn't hurt Lilith physically,the force of the attack generated a shockwave.

As she fell off the cliff side Jonah jumped off his podium and started sprinting and jumped off the cliff side,trying to save Lilith.

(A/N :Jonah's deck and his backpack were teleported into the system inventory,so his cards won't be taken by someone,just thought I'd explain that plothole)

(Meanwhile in Pegasus castle)

"This is terrible!! If a death were to happen in my tournament,my company will face lots of backlash!"

Pegasus who was watching the live duel saw Lilith fly off the cliff due to Jonah's attack,which he wasn't expecting,and soon after Jonah jumped off the cliff, probably to try and save lilith.

"Send a search team after them,and call the island doctors,we can't let them die!"

Pegasus who was worrying about his image decided to call his guards of the castle to help rescue the two duelist,and give Jonah an apology for what happened.

(Now back with Jonah)

Jonah was falling to catch Lilith,but realized the water was coming fast,so using a diving maneuver he dived into the water and saw the semi-unconscious Lilith struggling to breathe,her left arm was bent at an odd angle.

Jonah could tell that the humerus was broken near the elbow,and knew if he didn't help her she would drown.

(Jonah,let me help!)

Bruno manifested in his spirit form,waiting for me to say something via the necklace.

"Alright,use zipperman to grab Lilith and put her on my back,I'll swim to the harbor and get some medical help."

(Got it,zipperman!!)

Soon I see zipperman go near the now unconscious Lilith and watch as he grabs her by her right arm and put out on my back.

I swim up and head nerancha 's lil bomber in front of me,"hey nerancha,can you lead the way to the harbor?"

(Yeah I'll help you out,follow lil bomber.)

Soon lil bomber starts moving to my right as I swim after it,and after ten minutes of swimming I see the harbor with a bunch of men in rescue gear preparing to get onto the speedboat.

"Hey over here! We got a person with a broken arm!!" I shout catching the guard's attention.

I was twenty meters away as they pull Lilith and myself up.

As I was given a blanket,one of the guards spoke.

"Thank you for helping Lilith mr.kamijo,master Pegasus wishes to invite you to his castle as a finalist,consider it as his apology." The guard says with a bow.

"No need to bow,I didn't want to let someone die if I can help it."

After a few minutes I see the front door of the castle open and see Pegasus and who i assumed was his butler.

"Welcome Jonah boy,thank you for rescuing Miss Lilith,I'll be sending you to the island doctor,just follow my butler." He says pointing to the man next to him.

But before I could follow I hear a faint voice.

"Why…why did you save me..?…you could have won."

Lilith who just regained consciousness was perplexed,why did someone who was supposed to be her enemy save her.

"…I didn't want to see someone die.and besides you should care about yourself more,and if anything…if you can't care about yourself,then let me care about you."

And soon after that statement was made Pegasus who was enjoying the development happening cleared his throat,"we'll miss vertinelli,consider your final mission finished,and I hope you have a happy retirement." He says with a small smile,'oh if only Jonah boy could sense the thoughts going through miss vertinelli right now.' He thinks to himself with a chuckle.

And in only one day,Jonah has become the first finalist.

Am I doing this version of Pegasus right? I wanted to make him a combination of the original Pegasus and a gentler more caring boss towards his employees.

But yeah this was the only way I can think of to end the duel and make roasaria vertinelli fall in love with Jonah,and I think I did a fairly decent job.

But thank you all who read my works,you won't believe how much joy I have making these,stay golden my friends!
