I saw him with another one

That day, president Maw Soe visited their house. Since Maw Oo didn't get off work at that time, Lyan Oo Nway welcomed him and let him sit on the sofa.

"Son, is everything alright? What else do you need?"

"I'm fine, Dad. I don't need anything right now. Umm...Maw Oo hasn't returned home yet."

"I know. I came here after meeting him at the office. I'm here to invite you to accompany me to the dinner party for Maw Oo's group this coming Friday."

Maw Soe noticed staying alone at home was lonely so he invited Lyan Oo to attend the party as his partner. Maw Oo was going to come to the party with his own partner so isn't it okay for him to ask Lyan Oo? However, he wasn't aware that Lyan Oo Nway didn't have the knowledge of partners since he was not from their social circle. He didn't take into account Lyan Oo's perspective when he would see Maw Oo with another woman.

"But I haven't informed Maw Oo Yan."

"It's okay, I'll tell him. Although this party is dedicated to him, you should come with me to get to know entrepreneurs if you ever felt like you're interested in this business."

As Lyan Oo's a man, he couldn't hide behind Maw Oo all the time. If his father wanted him to introduce his business, then he was willing to follow his plan. He hoped he would be helpful a little to Maw Oo Yan.

"Alright. I'll pick you up that day by myself. I'll send you the suit for the dinner party."

President Maw Soe had prepared a plethora of gifts for him. He went back home after he chatted with Lyan Oo for a long time that day. Before he returned, he gave word that Maw Oo would not be coming back home for a few days. He also notified that Maw Oo was brought back to the main company to take a new step.

Though Lyan Oo Nway was listening, he was unable to comprehend anything that was being said. He was fortunate that his father-in-law looked out for him and thought well of him. Despite the fact that he had made life difficult for his beloved son, Maw Soe held no grudges against him.

He received the suit that president Maw Soe had sent the following day. A all-white coat with golden lines snaking through it or the suit adorned with strings of gold thread dangling through the column, which both looked quite pricey. Lyan Oo Nway had never worn that kind of suit in his life.

"Little Lyan, how about your hair. If you would like to have it cut, then I'll accompany you."

Kyi May wanted him to cut his long hair because she thought it made him look feminine. Lyan Oo Nway maintains long hair for personal reasons. Maw Oo Yan once remarked that he preferred those with long hair. He kept his long hair in the faint hope that Maw Oo would love him back.

He couldn't ignore the unruly hair on his back, though, because it hadn't been cut in a year. He felt inferior when he looked at his thin body in the mirror, which was in no way enchanting. He really didn't deserve standing next to Mao.

"Sure. I'll go trim my hair."

Kyi May assisted him to go to the barber shop, and the shop owner was impressed by his long hair. Because he didn't harm his hair in any way, the fine strands were soft and not even broken.

"Let's keep it thin at the bottom. Should I place a two-finger-long piece underneath that resembles a rat's tail? You have a figure comparable to Korean singers, so he will look young and energetic with that figure."

The back ponytail, which is as long as the middle of the back, has a distinctive appearance. Kyi May kept complimenting him on his looks, but he didn't see himself that way.

Friday night came quickly. Although he had finished getting ready to leave early, the car that would pick him up had not yet arrived. He hasn't been out in a while, and he's attending an event like this for the first time, so he's really looking forward to it.

He now realized that he was the one who undoubtedly broke up Maw Oo Yan and his lover. Mary was the best fit for Maw Oo Yan. Plus, she was the only candidate he always chose.

Lyan Oo Nway's immediate surroundings went silent. Furthermore, the scenes are hazy. He was immediately threatened by a shadow next to Maw Oo Yan. He yearned to leave immediately. His legs, however, were immobile.

It looked like Maw Oo was with her during the days he didn't return home. He didn't have anything to compare with her. While Maw Oo was walking with the brightest smile on the sidewalk with her, Lyan Oo Nway was standing at the corner of the party.

Should he really back off?

"Two of them make the ideal pair. I have believed that the two of them would be together a very long time ago. Still, I was shocked that Maw Oo wed someone else. If so, I presume hearing about Maw Oo's divorce quite soon."

I have heard that his husband is also present at the event. Maw Oo must have intentionally brought Mary. Anyway, from the beginning, Maw Oo wasn't interested in getting married.

That man patted the space beside him and invited him to sit. He was taken aback because of that gesture.

"You can cry if you want."

Looking at the lake, that man advised him to cry. He slightly looked lonely, still he was more of a person who enjoyed his life.

"Are you here for the party?"

"No, it's a coincidence. I saw you looking at the man on the sidewalk at the party."

He was shocked for a second. That man smiled again and patted his shoulder.

"Everything will be alright. Love is not that important in this world, boy. What matters most is if someone is suitable or not. If you want to be loved, you have to leave the world in which you are the one who gives love. The more you are attached, the more you have to suffer."

When that man told him like he really knew him inside and out, his eyes widened and locked his eyes.

"Do you know me?"

That man's lips curled up and looked at him with gentle and warm eyes.

"It's not that I know you. You looked frail so I just wanted to say a few words."

He turned away from him and was rubbing his hands together. The rich man's fancy rings could be seen on his hands as well.

"Do you like him very much?"

He didn't object to that question. He nodded his head and gave his answer.

"Why don't you try till the end?"

"Sorry?"

"To the very end, until you receive a clear response from him, or until you get your answer. Believe me, I speak with my experience of more than fifty years. When you reach the finish line, there is no more suffering because you have nothing left to lose."

He was stunned by the words. The fact that the man is older than fifty years old is even more astonishing. He estimated his age to be no more than thirty or forty.

"Are you in your fifties?"

That man laughed when he heard his silly question. Then he nodded in agreement.

"Correct. You didn't expect it, right? People can become lonely when they don't find love, but they will remain young."

He stopped talking for a second. Then he continued.

"If you don't mind, may I ask if you are interested in men? If so, you must be gay."

"Umm.. how should I put it? Well, I'm into him, only him. If you think I'm gay because of that, then I admit I'm gay."

"Oh, by the way, I'm Ray, also a gay. If you need any help, you can feel free to call me. I'll support however I can."

"Thanks a lot."

He took hold of the pink address card. He was unusually cordial.

After he greeted that man and went back to the party, he spotted the couple in the hotel hallway. They were Maw Oo Yan and Mary.

He made up his mind to go to them and moved in that direction. Mary placed her hand around Maw Oo's neck and kissed him on the lips when she saw him stepping towards them.

He could hear the sound of his heart breaking. He stood there, gazing at the scene as the steps came to a stop.

The kiss only lasted for a moment. Maw Oo was the first person who took a step back. And he handed his hand to Mary. For Lyan Oo Nway, he stood there like a statue. He was sure he saw Mary flashed a smirk.

The kiss only lasted a split second. The first person to step back was Maw Oo. To Mary, he extended his hand. He was as still as a statue for Lyan Oo Nway. He was certain he saw Mary smirking.

"Oh, Lyan Lyan is also here."

Before they left, Mary notified Maw Oo who turned to face him. However, he didn't appear to be guilty. It's like he didn't do anything wrong.

Maw Oo gave him a quick glance before joining the party with Mary. It was over. He received a response from Maw Oo. He had to accept it even though he didn't want to. But he still wanted to see it through to the end. He was aware of the other party's obvious response, but he hesitated to make his own decision.
