28 The Present (1)

Staring at the light red dress Ning Rou Li had shoved into her hands, Zhu Xiao Wan pressed her lips together. "Big Sister Li, can Xiao Wan not wear red?"

"You don't like red?"

"Mn-hmm" It wasn't because she didn't like red, she didn't mind wearing it actually. But if she wore red or light red, with her silver hair and purple eyes - she would look malevolent even if she was just a puny size girl.

"Then white?"

'...Malevolent to benevolent.' Being a celestial at her own birthday party - "Okay."

As soon as Zhu Xiao Wan wore the beautiful white dress, there were noises at the back entrance of the manor. The girls looked at each other before pushing the doors open. "What's happening?"

"It appears that there are intruders," Ning Su Cai replied.

There was smoke coming up from where the noises were coming from. Their faces showed different expression: complicate, confuse, worry, and some others.

"Let's go see what is happening there."

When they were getting closer to where the sounds were, Zhu Xiao Qian's and Ning Su Cai's faces changed drastically.

Green Spirits and even a First Stage Cyan Spirit!

Zhu Xiao Wan was calm; she already noticed the power of those intruders a beat after she exited her room.

The moment they got there, they witnessed a building collapsing. The place looked like it had been visited by a storm. Everything in front of them was a mess. Above their head were Ning Rui Yu and Fu Yan Xin struggling to fight back the intruders; since Ning Rui Yu was a Third Stage Green Spirit and Fu Yan Xin was a Second Stage Green Spirit (Ning Su Cai was a genius!).

Ning Rui Yu and Fu Yan Xin both had wounds on their bodies. Ning Rui Yu's arm was heavily injured, but the one that had the most severe wound was Fu Yan Xin - she had a horrible and ugly wound on her chest. She was trying her very best to stand on her feet and continued to fight.

"Mother!" The Ning siblings were shocked, worried, and scared when they saw their parents so severely wounded. Without thinking, they rushed to join and help their parents to fight with the intruders.

Whilst all of this was happening, Zhu Xiao Qian froze and stood there like he was rooted to the ground as he watched the scene; feeling stupefied.

'This situation, it's so similar...'

Zhu Xiao Wan was calm and collected as she turned to look at the stupefied Zhu Xiao Qian then returned her eyes to the fight. If she didn't have Lianzhou, she probably had already spat out a mouthful of blood by the heavy pressure of the fight.

Suddenly, she felt herself being lifted up by someone; the wind slammed at her and the surrounding was blurry. When Zhu Xiao Wan returned to her sense, she found that they were outside of the manor. Turning to Zhu Xiao Qian who had put her down on the ground, she stared at him in confusion. "They..."

"Wan Wan, they have treated us like we are their family. How they accepted us knowing that our existences may bring dangers to their family. How friendly the siblings were and how they had been protecting us. Wan Wan, I need to help them. Wait for me." Zhu Xiao Qian left his words and hastily darted back into the manor.

Wait for me...

Zhu Xiao Wan stood there flabbergasted as she watched Zhu Xiao Qian's figure disappearing from her sight. Her brother had just left her, what would happen to him? If something happened to him, would she be alone again?

Boom!

All of a sudden, a frightening sound of an explosion coming from the manor. Zhu Xiao Wan jumped faintly and her eyes flickered before they were wide opened.

"Xiao Qian!"

Zhu Xiao Wan bolted into the manor.

"He dressed like a noble and so beautiful, so god-like!"

"I'm drooling ah! So embarrassing!"

"I am willing losing half of my lifespan to be his wife, kyaaaaa!"

Song Hui Yao's ears picked up on the talks and whispers around him; his eyes flashed with contempt as he heard the women's remarks.

"Master, this subordinate just got news from Qianyu Kingdom," Yin Yi said after he appeared beside Song Hui Yao. "Prince Ning's Manor is being attacked by Green Wind Kingdom's Lu Family."

Song Hui Yao's dignified brows rose as his steps quickened.
