39 Lazy Demon

"Abaddon's descendant?"

I tilted my head to the side, staring into Io curiously.

He told me he traveled far and wasted all the money I gave him for this demon.

Io nodded his head.

"A descendant from seven deadly sins. Abaddon, the demon of sloth," Io explained casually.

"... What about you?"

"Me?" Io blinked. He smiled innocently. "I'm a descendant of Lucifer, the demon of pride,"

I stared at him in disbelief.

Seven deadly sins? I heard that name too often. In games, in anime, or a manga.

"I-Is that common?"

"What is common?"

"Aren't they like, famous?"

Io blinked again; he then smiled widely.

"Indeed they are,"

"So, you're famous?"

"Yes,"

"... Let me ask again, is that common? for such famous demons like you guys to become one of my subordinates?" I asked curiously.

"If the person is stronger than us, then why not? Becoming your demon is the biggest honor I could ever have,"

Io's words seemed so light. He's so full of pride, now I know why.

Am I that OP to make one of the strongest and most famous demons be my subordinate?

I only grinned happily, causing Io to stared at me sarcastically.

"Come out!" I happily shouted on the obsidian.

Like how I summoned Pyumo, the obsidian shakes then letting out black steam. But it took longer than usual. The smoke just got bigger, thicker. I need to take a step back because I started to cough.

Io floated to my side and stood beside me with his arms crossed.

"He's too lazy to get out. But your willpower is strong. You have to call him more to drag him out,"

"For real?" I muttered. "Hey, come out already!"

The smoke slowly subsided. The stone shattered. And suddenly, something fell!

"Argh!"

It's another boy around Io's height. He wore a white long-sleeved shirt, with short trousers: fair skin, and messy dark-blue hair. Then once again, just like my first encounter with Io. His eyes are so unique. Captivating.

His eyes are a mix of dark grey and maroon, then light grey.

"I was having my nap, sheesh,"

The boy groaned as he got up lazily. Our eyes met, then he widened them. He blatantly pointed his finger at me.

"Woah! you're strong!"

"..."

Io and I stared at each other, then back at the lazy demon.

"Do all descendants look young?" I asked Io.

"D-Don't ignore me," The lazy mumbled dejectedly.

"We could shapeshift," Io shrugged. "Most of us descendants naturally choose to look young,"

"Hey!"

The two of us looked at the lazy demon. He floated over to me.

"Balam, you have Balam's willpower. But I refuse to be your demon!"

"Why not?"

"Even though you're a suitable master for me, I refuse to submit to anyone. I never submit to any human. They'll make me do troublesome stuff. I'm too lazy for that!"

"... I knew I should've taken another demon," Io muttered.

"No, you have to be my subordinate. Think about it!" I grinned mischievously. "If I'm your master, I'll make a personal space for you to laze around in,"

"!"

This is too easy.

Look at those sparkling eyes; he's already interested.

I'm curious why my father told me it's challenging to make a demon to submit to me. Io is not that difficult, and this sloth guy is too easy.

"Hm, tempting. But I'm not that easy!" The boy pointed his finger at me. "I'll get upset if you call me at night,"

"But, that's the point of you submitting to me. You're supposed to come whenever I mention your name," I said dryly.

"No! you can't call me at night! I'm sleeping," The boy crossed his hands.

"Ah..."

... Demon of sloth.
