The Great Culling
"Have you heard the news?"
"About that village where everyone disappeared? Is that really true?"
"What nonsense are you two talking about?"
"It's not nonsense! David went there to visit his fiance, but when he arrived there was not a single soul found in the village!"
"Really?"
"It's true! He said that there were bloodstains seen on every house. The police have been called to investigate the case."
Women liked to gossip, but the news regarding the village next to theirs also made them terrified. Out of curiosity, some of them even went there personally, but were barred by the police from entering.
This news should have reached the media, but the military had been notified in advance. A "hush" order had been sent down from the brass and investigators from various places had been called to investigate the case.
All of them were thinking of the same thing.
